   Hadn't been here in a long time but noticed some changes to the menu and decided to give it a try again. My lobster roll with fries was very good but my husband's burger, although cooked perfectly, was overwhelmed by too many flavors. The banana dessert was amazing! Beautiful setting and views and very nice service (place was pretty empty). The cost, however, was very high (to be expected at a Ritz Carlton property) which will probably keep us from coming back any time soon.

   Everything was great !! the food was delicious , the tables were accurate and the service people were polite.

   Great food. We had the crab summer rolls, sweet chili chicken sandwich which is inventive and delish. Avocado fries are really good- the sauces that accompany it make the dish. Great views. Only negative- no felt on the bottom of the chairs so every time someone moves a chair it’s like nails on a chalkboard but amplified. Very loud and disruptive. Easy fix though! I’ll be back.

   Disappointed with the menu choices. Online they show an extensive menu including a $29 burger but when we arrived it didn’t exist along with a number of other items I was hoping to try. Dining inside doesn’t provide views that would have made the restaurant worth while. Won’t be back

   As always, the State Fair was outstanding. Food, service (Louis & co) and ambiance were beyond reproach. Great drink selection, attentive but unobtrusive service made for a great evening. Though not on the regular menu, the chef was able to create a wonderfully tasty hamburger (see bar menu) and accommodate the desired pasta for one of the dishes. Overall, excellent and highly recommended. One of our top addresses in Rancho Mirage. Make sure to check out the view and the newly installed Easter Bunnies art by Karen and Tony Barone.

   My friend and I dined at State Fare for breakfast and dinner. The service was amazing for both and the food was delicious and wonderful portions. I had the breakfast burrito with a green juice and she had an omelet with a carrot juice and we both kept saying how great it all was. We did not leave hungry! In the evening we had such a wonderful time for her birthday dinner!! The service was perfect from beginning to end. The waitress sat us in a beautiful semi-circle table that overlooked the patio. Luis took care of us and was very attentive! He consistently checked in on us and made sure my friend's birthday meal was a special one. We each had steak(I had NY and she had a filet). Both were were prepared perfectly and the sides were delicious as well. The next time we visit Palm Springs we will stay at the Ritz again and dine at State Fare. Thank you!

   We had a table outside in the patio that was very nice with a pretty view. The service was very good, but I found the food very over priced and average. I had the mozzarella salad which was ice cold and the tomatoes were not ripe or flavorful. Three of us had the scallops with rice, which was fairly tasty, but it was luke warm. We were there to celebrate my husband’s and mine 60th birthdays. They did treat us to two delicious desserts.

   It’s was my mom’s 94th birthday and the staff and our waiter, Jonas, couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. We always celebrate holidays and special events at the Ritz in State Fair. Just love it.
