We regularly eat at the Wheatsheaf, as it always is delicious food. Scott and Carol are a delightful couple who work exceedingly hard to exceed expectations. This is simply the best place to eat in Rutland and great value for money.

Booked here for a table of 8 for my birthday meal, it was incredible from start to finish. From service to food it was amazing! One of my friends that attended had a severe peanut allergy, once I arrived I notified one of the staff members to which they instantly let the kitchen know. A separate member of staff came to the table to ask which one of us had the allergy, they were super attentive to her, giving her separate plates and sauces to the rest of the table, couldn’t ask for more! Highly recommend!
