Based in Greetham, The Wheatsheaf is 6 miles from Oakham and 4 miles from Rutland Water. Carol and Scott took over the Wheatsheaf in March 2008. The seasonal Modern British menu changes weekly. The wine list is based on wines from around the world with a good selection by the glass. We also have an excellent selection of beers and local cask ales.In 2021 The Wheatsheaf was a new entry in The Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastro Pubs and was also awarded The Michelin Red Plate. I stayed for the weekend and loved it. The room was fabulous and I ate supper, breakfast and lunch. All food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend a quality pub/hotel. Will definitely return

Absolutely fantastic experience. The food menu is incredible, it's hard to choose! Price is a great for the quality of food, definitely one of if not the best places for food in Rutland and surrounding areas!
