Based in Greetham, The Wheatsheaf is 6 miles from Oakham and 4 miles from Rutland Water. Carol and Scott took over the Wheatsheaf in March 2008. The seasonal Modern British menu changes weekly. The wine list is based on wines from around the world with a good selection by the glass. We also have an excellent selection of beers and local cask ales.In 2021 The Wheatsheaf was a new entry in The Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastro Pubs and was also awarded The Michelin Red Plate. This boutique hotel was a great find and we will definitely be going back. The rooms are really beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The menu was lovely and the food delicious, the portions are generous and I struggled to eat two courses! Breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. Really good service and atmosphere. The courtyard was a lovely surprise as from the front you do not realise how big it is.
