When we arrived at TRADE for lunch, the noise level was high enough to make me wonder if we could hear each other. As ours was a late lunch, the place emptied soon, and was delightful from there on. The food was inventive and delicious, the staff welcoming and solicitous, and the bill, though on the high side, reflective of the quality. This was my first visit there. It won't be the last. Great location near South Station.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing evening at Fin Point Oyster Bar in Boston. We came in for a light dinner and ended up having one of the most memorable meals of our trip. We started with the Seafood Tower, which featured an assortment of fresh, local oysters—Wellfleet, Barnstable, and Island Creek—along with shrimp cocktail and chilled lobster. Every bite was ocean-fresh and perfectly presented. Since we weren’t starving, we decided to share the lobster ravioli, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. At the waitress's suggestion, I added a small steak to "fill in the gaps". The pasta was delicate and the filling was rich and buttery, with just the right amount of sweetness from the lobster. The steak was cooked perfectly and flavored beautifully. We sat at the bar and were lucky to have Stephanie as our bartender. She was personable, attentive, and genuinely fun to talk to—one of those rare people who makes the whole experience better. She walked us through the menu, offered great drink recommendations, and never missed a beat despite how busy the bar got. To top things off, the staff surprised us with a complimentary dessert sampler that included their Flourless Chocolate Torte, Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, Key Lime Tart, and Crème Brûlée—each one as delicious as the next. Stephanie also served us an incredible Château La Rame Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, a rich dessert wine that paired perfectly with the treats. Fin Point offers the perfect balance of upscale dining and laid-back comfort. Whether you're into oysters, great drinks, or just solid service, it's worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back.

Food was good. My husband raced about the Lobster Bisque. My son and I had the pizzas and they were thin and crispy and enjoyable. Would recommend.

Discover Financial District

The Financial District of Boston has a history dating back to colonial times. Reflective of those days gone by, you'll still find pubs--or public houses--in the neighborhood. These are great not only for finding a drink but also for enjoying a classic lobster roll. Thanks to Boston's proximity to the ocean, seafood of all types is big in the Financial District, and oyster bars are a particular seafood highlight. Of course, there's more than just seafood here; in the Financial District, you'll find cuisine from all over the world. Select from among Irish, Italian or Mediterranean fare if you're feeling intercontinental. Of course, good old American bar-and-grills -- with staples like burgers, steaks and deli sandwiches -- are also popular in the Financial District.
