Lorenzo Trattoria is a lovely low key place that’s comfortable and reliable. Most importantly, the food is good, if not stellar, AND you can have a conversation at your table without shouting over your plates! The house salad is one of my faves on the menu. Last time, we went, I had the orecchiette with eggplant which was delicious (half of the portions would be enough for most people). My husband chose the special (clams spaghetti) and it was a bit dry. Also a huge portion. The waiter Antonio was funny and helpful. A nice and delicious chilled Tuscan Vermentino accompanied our dinner. All in all, a lovely summer evening with no frills but very enjoyable.

The food and service were outstanding. The only downside that we had was that our 4 top table was across from the bar area and a large party of 12 or so came in to the bar midway through our meal and were exceeding loud and made it hard for us to have a conversation. Not much that the restaurant could have done about it except redesign the space to separate the dining tables from the bar. Otherwise it was really fantastic food and service and a good value.
