Our waiter, Brendan, was attentive and friendly. I had the trout with asparagus as the vegetable of the day. Cooked perfectly, it was delicious. My husband had the 10oz prime rib which was cooked perfectly and tasted smoked. Of course the mashed potatoes were a hit.
I also ordered a custom cocktail. I told Brendan the ingredients for a Chilton and the barkeep made it perfectly.

I was a little disappointed because I requested a table by the window, but didn’t get it. We also had to wait a bit long for a server, but the food was great. Although I wish they had more gluten free options and had better quality gluten free bread (it was good, but made with terrible ingredients).

Our group really enjoyed the food and setting. The restaurant is in the Bolderado Hotel, which is beautiful and a must see. The restaurant was an elegant western setting where casual to dress up attire fit and we could take time to dine and visit. Very convenient location in Boulder. Our group had the Rocky Mountain trout, steak and fries, and mussels, and all were very good. The cocktails were also very good and reasonably priced. Service was attentive and professional. I highly recommend this Spruce Farm & Fish for a nice meal and quiet and relaxing setting.

We went for a birthday celebration for my wife. The food and place was amazing. Restaurant staff seemed inattentive - had to be reminded multiple times for requests, didn’t do anything special for birthday or for the delays.

They were out of the Chilean Sea Bass and Prime Rib, medium rare which were our first choices. We were not told that they were out of the Prime Rib until they brought out the only temp of Prime Rib they had which was medium in temp. No apologies, nothing. We ordered the Prime Rib French Dip instead, and interestingly enough, had some slices cooked medium rare.🧐 we also ordered the Rocky Mountain Trout which was decent. The calamari had good flavor but was overcooked. The drinks, Burnt Orange Old Fashioned and The Boulder Mule which were ok. Nothing that was memorable.

Service was good. Cocktails were decent. Food was rather bland or really salty. Risotto was a soup and under cooked. Crammed everyone in one area with the rest of the restaurant wide open.

We truly enjoyed our evening at Spruce Farm & Fish. The calamari was some of the best we have ever had. The addition of garlic chips made the taste like none other. We both had the trout for dinner, which was outstanding. Being a Colorado native and having parents who owned a fly fishing company I have had many a trout. The meal was wonderful. We finished with a key lime pie. James was our server and provided excellent service. Overall a great night.

We’ve always loved this location to eat at the Boulderado Hotel. Only reason that I gave it 4/5 was that I thought & wished there would be more fruit on my waffle for brunch. Very minor. Service is so great so I’m sure if I would have asked they would have brought more- I would always recommend!

Ate here on a Saturday night. Restaurant is located inside Hotel Boulderado. Dinning room is great, classic dining room but the noise was surprisingly moderate which is good. Our waiter, Jeromy, was awesome. Just the right amount of attention without being intrusive. The food was OUTSTANDING! I had the sea scallops and corn nage served with a butternut squash succotash. My date had the chef special Pecan Crusted Halibut over a butter lime sauce. Let me just say that the chef was masterful with the sauces. They were perfect - not too light, not too heavy. Both the lemon butter sauce and the nage were perfect complements to the food. I tried a bite of the Halibut and the pecan crust was also perfect. Most kitchens burn the crust but this one was perfect.

Overall, the experience was a "10" from top to bottom and I definitely will be back again!

Nice, semi casual dining experience. Historic hotel is really pretty! The brussels sprout appetizer was delicious. Scallop entrée was good, but a bit heavy on the salt for my taste. My daughter liked the Bahm Mi sandwich and the rest of the group ordered fish and chips which they enjoyed. Key lime pie for dessert was silky, just the right amount of sweet and tartness. Waiter was very friendly and helpful, very good service. Overall, I would go back but maybe try a different entrée!

Our server, Sam, did not seem to make us a priority. We had to ask multiple times for more water. We ordered drinks, and the first drink was about a thimble full, the second drink was a lovely trough. Same price. What the ???? What should have been a two hour dinner took so much longer. And the chicken my husband ordered, shame on you, maybe 3 ounces of grilled chicken?? We could have gone ANYWHERE for dinner, we chose you. Big mistake, we will not be back. Too many better choices in Boulder.

We waited an hour for bad drinks, cold calamari, over cooked salmon and a stale bun on a bad burger. This was a lousy meal with slow lousy service and not at all recommended. Sorry but it was not good in any way and open table should NOT be recommending this place.
