Partnering with sustainable oyster farms and fisheries, seafood at Spruce is flown in daily. Spruce offers rotating dinner specials, including certified angus beef house-smoked prime rib.
The bar offers espresso drinks, an extensive selection of wines, and locally sourced spirits and craft beers. Happy-hour specials are available daily and include seasonal small plates and fresh cocktails.

We had an early dinner on a Sunday and so the restaurant was fairly quiet. Bryan waited on us and was just the right mixture of attentive, friendly and nonintrusive.
The Peach Bourbon Mule was amazing! I am not a bourbon drinker, but a big fan of varietal mules. Glad I tried this one.
My friend and I ordered the Sea Scallops and the Ribeye Steak, which we then divided to share. EVERYTHING on both plates was exceptional. From the walnut butter melted on the steak to the butternut squash succotash on the scallops plate, we cleaned our plates!
We had barely enough room to split the chocolate torte, but it was too good to waste so we ate every bite of that!
It was pricier than a chain steak house, but worth every penny! We will go back again...
Everything was great except that our food took forever to arrive. I was worried that our parking meter (i had paid for 75 min) was going to run out. This seems to be a trend with Spruce these days. Perhaps they are understaffed in the kitchen after the pandemic?
Great service and cocktails!
We enjoyed our meal, the second time we had eaten out in 14 months. The only complaint we had was that the pistachio ice cream was soupy, we returned it, the replacement wasn’t much better. We were pleased that we were seated immediately. August was charming, attentive and efficient.
Our first time at Spruce…. We loved our experience. We are there on Sunday 7/18. I would recommend Spruce to everyone! The Hostess was super friendly and kind and our waiter was knowledgeable and efficient and a good guy overall.
The food is always fabulous at Spruce. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. This time though, we had the added bonus of Christie our server! Warm )
Service was on the slow side, but food was good and prices were reasonable.
Both my wife and I chose the prime rib for our entree's. Unfortunately the prime rib was not very tender. we've had much better and Tavern Inn in Broomfield (now defunct due to COVID) and even Outback (when they had it on their menu). The bright spot of the evening were the margaritas. Service started out good but deteriorated to so-so. Far below my expectations I had formed from the reviews and star rating others gave it. I guess I hit them on a bad night even though it appeared to be a rather moderately light evening.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner on the porch at Spruce. I would have given 5 stars across the board, but the pork special was a little overdone. That won’t keep us from going back, though.
We had a member of our party with a life-threatening allergy (to pork). The waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and helpful in finding safe choices on the menu. He immediately alerted the chef about the allergy, and guided our guest to delicious and pork-free options. The other entrees were delicious and service was excellent. Spruce has become our go-to restaurant for out-of-town guests.
Great ambience within our most historic hotel here in Boulder. The food and service are always great!
We had a great experience here. There were three of us and we all ordered something different. All of our dishes were excellent. Our server was attentive and the food didn't take too long. We will definitely be back in the near future!
The hostess was lovely and answered all her questions on the phone. The drinks were great. My husband loved the steak and fries. I loved the mussels. Had kids menu. Located great spot
Nice surroundings and good food. We had a very nice lunch. Prime rib sandwich was tasty and huevos rancheros very good.

Overall we had a lovely evening at Spruce Farm & Fish. The scallops were delicious my only complaint is I wish there had been more! 4 seemed a little bit meager even though they were jumbo size. Service was excellent! We will definitely come back.
Delicious food! Fresh salad beautifully presented. Excellent mussels. Outstanding prime rib. Chocolate nemesis ... to live for. Delay between courses due to other diners, but still a wonderful experience overall.

Used online review sources to select restaurants for our stay in Boulder. The reviews for Spruce Farm and Fish were very enthusiastic, so we booked a dinner. The experience was "good to very good," but did not measure up to the online ratings. This is a "safe" booking, however. You will not be disappointed,

Our meals were beautifully prepared and the service was excellent. Started with a peach and orange blossom cocktail that was so good and refreshing! The scallops with corn nage and butternut squash was just so delicious and my husband enjoyed his sea bass entree as well. We ordered dessert, but the kitchen was slammed and it was taking too long, so we left. But not the fault of the waitress, who was very attentive and communicative. We just decided to call it good, and took a walk on the mall instead. Wonderful evening. Will be back soon.
Excellent waitress and the food and presentation were wonderful. Great experience considering it's a challenge to staff restaurants these days.
The quiche special of the day was excellent served with those awesome potatoes (their version of home fries) and a bed of arugula salad. All very fresh! Truly is one of my favorite restaurants that I frequent regularly. Excellent service and a fun luncheon celebrating my friend’s 90th birthday!
We have eaten here twice in the past month (and we live 6 hour south of Boulder). The meals are excellent, but the key lime pie is to die for ... SO good!
The experience was lovely for my daughter’s 19th birthday that fell on Father’s Day. The only thing I didn’t cate for was the fact that although I let everyone know our dinner was for a birthday, and comm eyed that on my reservation, there was no acknowledgement for her. No small birthday dessert, no acknowledgment at all. That was disappointing but otherwise great experience!!
Waiter was great. He suggested the crispy cauliflower and brussel sprouts. Good call. We all had different fish dishes and all were happy. Skip the bland cheesecake & get the Keylime pie.
Extremely fresh food, attentive service and a cheerful atmosphere. The building is historic and very pretty.
Hostess was clearly in a bad mood or having a bad morning. She seemed a bit irritated and I know it can hectic but it was not a great start. Not sure if it's always this busy but it was Father's Day and pretty busy for sure. Service was very spotty. Had to wait 10 min after being seated before anyone came up and asked if we wanted any water or anything to drink etc. Then food came out pretty fast but had to wait for a long time for butter since the toast came dry. Had to ask 2 different servers for someone to finally bring the butter. Food was great and would give this place another try and hope for better service next time.
It was wonderful. The waitress was beyond excellent. The food was delicious and the fruit that came with the breakfast was out of this world.
The plate of mussels was very generous and all were tender. The seared scallops with corn nage was a surprise and an extraordinarily delicious blending of flavors. I'd order both dishes again. Special.
