Great food. Some dishes are kind of expensive, but worth it. Great bar, too.
Orleans never fails to be amazing. The best Cajun food in Colorado and the friendliest staff around. Was there on a snowy night and it was a perfect cozy restaurant with great ambience. I go for the gluten free fried shrimp every time, I don't know another restaurant that can make something taste so close to normal .
Would highly recommend.
Wedding anniversary dinner. Service was slow, after food arrived, server neglected to visit table to check on the quality of dish or if we needed anything.
It’s clearly apparent this restaurant needs either trained staff or to train their staff on proper protocols of serving dinner. This restaurant has a couple of really good servers, Megan, comes to mind. However, they need to train more if they would like to up their game.
Our meals were very good, desserts were disappointing. Service was so so. Good drink selections and kids meals were huge.
The food was not good at all. Very disappointed. The service was very good. Chef needs to work on his menu. What was listed on the internet was not close to what was served.
I think our waitress was named Meghan, she was outstanding. Polite, on time not bothersome..perfect. the buffet was well worth the money. A little more cajun on the menu would have been nice, but is was satisfactory. There was a draft throughout the buildinf that made it very uncomfortable. Other than this we were very happy with our night at Springs Orleans.
Eaten there multiple times. However, this time was disappointing. None in our party of 5 finished their meal. The drinks and appetizers were good.
Overall not good or bad was a little disappointed in the food it was salty. The apple salad was good & the beignets were AMAZING. Excellent waiter
This is our 4th visit. It was a wonderful experience. We had broiled oysters and they were spectacular!!!
I was there on a week night. There appeared to be only one waiter. He was nice, and helpful, but the service was slow. The menu is not as good as pre-Covid when I was last there: no lobster bisque, no crab cakes. It's been a hard time for restaurants, but I hope they will raise their standards a bit in the future.
Not the first time we have visited so we knew the menu, which is always very good. Now, I know during these times that we need to be grateful for people that have decided to work as staff...but honestly, the server was awful; and appeared to be more stoned than anything. We had to ask 3-4 times for our drinks, appetizer, and dessert. I ordered a side dish and salad with my steak dinner, and it appeared AFTER the main entre. If you go there, just know that the service is definitely lacking. If you spend almost $200 for 3 people, the service should improve.
Birthday so much fun!!
Very nice restaurant and able to accommodate our large group with children.
The jambalaya was outstanding and the shrimp and grits were the best I ever had including those Louisiana
Drinks were bad, poor service, food ok.
Food is not as good as it was a few years ago. Calamari was heavily breaded and over-seasoned. Beignets were overcooked and crunchy/hard.
Food was fantastic. Right from the appetizers, to the mains and probably the best pecan pie I have ever had. Service was perfect. We totally enjoyed our meal.
Made a lunch reservation so we could eat a nice Cajun meal. Instead we were called an hour before our reservation and told it would be a buffet brunch and cost $40 per person. The eggs were dry. The one Cajun thing they had was gumbo but it tasted more like Hormel Chile. Salmon was way overcooked. Previously had an excellent dinner here but brunch was horrible.
The apps and drinks were good but the entrees were not New Orleans. I grew up there and go back every year, they wouldn’t last 6 months in the dirty south.
Main course for one party member came with appetizers
Main course lacked sausage was lots of broth
Dessert delivered to wrong table then had to wait longer for dessert
The atmosphere is great. Very relaxing and comfortable. The food is even better. Unreal. I can't wait to go back. A little pricey but well worth it. Literally some of the best food I've eaten in colorado springs.
A very nice evening all around! Service was awesome, food (shrimp and grits) was beyond perfect! It’s perfect evening !
We were greeted just inside the door and sat immediately by a nice host, and within one minute our server had our drink order taken and put in to the bar. Our service couldn't have possibly been any better throughout the rest of our dining experience at Springs Orleans. Coming from a New Orleans native my wife and I tried the majority of the menu " with our server even giving us taste tests of the exquisite etouffee, and gumbo before ordering it as our main course. 100 of 100 on every part of the experience for our anniversary dinner, we will be back again and again now that we have found the best Cajun/Creole restaurant in town. Thank you everything!!!
Nice place great ambiance . Top notch service. Food was excellent.
First off, the atmosphere was awesome! The high ceilings, nobs to Nawlins culture, and music were pretty cool. Overall not a bad spot but definitely overpriced. I don't expect too much from COS fine dining because of places like Springs Orleans: markets itself as a fine-ish dining experience but the overall execution is kind of "family restaurant with cocktails." The gumbo was good but the roux was over-salted (and I love salt and over-salt everything I eat and it was even a bit much for me). I get that we are a long way from the ocean but the lobster pasta was $30 for a mediocre dish that resembled a sweet, orange mac n' cheese. The lobster itself was awesome. No complaints there but for the price, a bit more quality and care on the pasta side of the house would have been nice (like some fresh herbs, a bit more pasta, something). The drinks took a while (again, I get it: labor shortages are no joke and I always give a pass to servers cause I used to be one) and came out as kind of amateurish, although the mocktails that my companion ordered were actually really good, even better than the cocktail I had. Overall not a bad experience but kind of typical of COS food scene.
The food was amazing, especially the crawfish étouffée. The service, however, needed much improvement. One of the water glasses was dirty, as was one of the dessert plates. The waiter forgot to bring our drink order and never came back to check on our food, so we canceled the drink order when he brought dessert and the bill at the same time. Then it took forever for him to come back to collect our payment. The restaurant was not at all busy, so there wasn’t any reason for such poor service. On a final note, the earliest reservation we could make wasn’t until 8:00, but the restaurant was half empty when we got there and stayed that way the entire time we were there. Not sure why we couldn’t get an earlier time.I would definitely go back for the food, but only as takeout.
This is a nice restaurant next to the Wyndham Grand Exchange hotel. Unpretentious. Good Cajun-inspired food and attentive service.
Our waiter made my sons 16th Birthday perfect. The food and service were great.
It was an off night, as they couldn’t fry any protein items. But there were otherwise plenty of options. The filet mignon was practically perfect!
Springs Orlean changed their menu, they were out of oysters. No Cobb towers and very skimpy menu. Ordered hurricanes that were not consistent. The music volume was so loud you thought you were in a night club. Not the place it used to be.
Go for the terrific food but don't expect great service. Food that we had was fantastic. Some of the best Cajun food we have had anywhere, including New Orleans. The onion soup was terrific as was the catfish. However several things that we wanted on the menu were not available. The beignets needed to have more powdered sugar. The service was spotty and unattentive. Lights at our booth were flickering on and off and almost triggered a migraine.
Fish wasn’t cooked and server was so so
First off, the food is amazing. Service and bartender not so much. Took 30 minutes to even order drinks. Drinks were made poorly and not even the same as listed on the menu. Ordered food at the same time as drinks but the food arrived first. Again, the food is amazing amd the place is nice, but the wait and worst old fashioned I have ever had won't get me to run back.
They were out of literally two of the things we went there for and the wine list was not updated. The server dropped our drinks/food and never came back over to check on us. Drinks ran out and we felt ignored in the corner. Steak was overcooked but I was beyond complaining at that point. Had been a year or so ago and wanted to go back for this special occasion because it was so good before. Won't be back again.
Always enjoy eating at Springs Orleans.
Food is alway spot on.
We had a fabulous time, the waiter what is especially entertaining. We had private setting and everything was very timely and the food was wonderful.
You would think that a place that puts Orleans in its name would know how to cook Red Beans and Rice or Shrimp & Grits... Both were cooked by people who obviously have never traveled south of Colorado Springs. My advice, if in town for 1 night, pick somewhere else.
Compliments to the chef! Food was delicious!! Very friendly staff!
Great food, great drinks, excellent customer, fair pricing.
Third time dining here. came for my birthday dinner and the service was exceptional. We had a big table on the first floor right next to the bar! The drinks were amazing, and waiter was very accommodating to my party of 12...he even put a birthday candle on my beignets!! :)
The ambience of the restaurant was very nice, large older space with spacious tables and booths and a nice bar area, as well as good lighting. My party of 4 all ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their selection. Would go again.
