   My wife and I both had the filet mignon with asparagus. Both were well prepared and very tasty with the bernaise sauce. Our server was Micheal who was very attentive along with support staff.

   Porterhouse steak was incredible! Perfectly cooked! Delicious Greek salad! Lovely staff and delicious cheesecake with a chocolate “happy anniversary” since we were celebrating!

   Everything was great except I felt like we were rushed. Literally five minutes after my wife got her drink they brought out our dinner. Didn't know they could prepare a ribeye steak for me and lobster tail plus veggies and potatoes for the wife so quickly. A 6:30 reservation, we were in the elevator at 7:15. Including dessert. Food was excellent though.

   We were staying at the Hyatt Regency and booked dinner for our last night of vacation at Son’z. It also happened to be my mother’s 65th birthday. When I called to confirm the conversation, I advised of my mother’s birthday to see if they could do anything. The hostess, Isabella, said they’d definitely set up something nice and and get her some cake or whatever. We get to the restaurant and they ask how many high chairs we need. We say 1. We get escorted to the table. There’s no high chair. My husband holds my son for probably 5 minutes before the water guy asks if we need a high chair and brings it over. We ordered the kid’s food and it did come quickly. We got our cocktails after our appetizers were delivered. We ordered dinner and my mom wanted a medium well steak. It came out definitely medium rare to medium at best. My mom asked for another plate to put the steak on because she has a thing with bloody meat. She ended up switching steaks with my sister whose was over cooked. I told the waiter. He said nothing - just got my mom a plate. My husband had to get up to get himself a plate and a steak knife for his meal. The whole service experience kind of sucked and when we got the bill we figured out why - we were auto grated. Anyways, we get our checks and the waiter comes back for the credit cards and I’m like hey I called earlier and they were supposed to bring a cake or something for my mom’s birthday. He was like oh wow! Nobody told me anything. Which ironically was weird in hindsight because when he greeted us when we got there he was like heard there’s a birthday in the house! Anyways, he asked if I wanted him to still go get it and act like nothing happened. We’d already paid and everyone was getting up at this point. He’s also making me feel like it’s a hassle so I’m like don’t worry about it. I asked if the hostess was Isabella. He looked at her and told me no she’s not here. I went to the hostess and asked if she was Isabella. Sure enough it was.

   One of the best steakhouse experiences I’ve ever had. Rare meal I eat where I have no notes on anything that could have been better. Considering the typical cost of meals on Maui, Son’z also felt like a great value. I’d recommend this restaurant to all my foody friends with zero hesitation.

    Food was great, wife and I both ate Filets and they were tasty. She ordered medium rare and they brought medium but it was fine. The place is very pricey as you would probably expect, was $250 for 2 of us with tip including entrees, one drink each, splitting a salad and a side dish. Mac and cheese side was excellent as was the Maui salad. They brought us a complimentary slice of cheesecake for our anniversary and it was delicious!

    We returned there after quite a few years. The menu was good, and the ambience is good. However, for whatever reason, they have put a net that separates the birds in the water from you. It’s a little bit distracting now. The food was good, but as several other reviewers have stated, the temperature of the food is a little bit of an issue. It comes out lukewarm (they might’ve simply added the other items to those same mashed potatoes). But the service was good, and at 6 o’clock, it was very quiet in the restaurant.

    Service and ambience were excellent as was rest of food except for the steak. I am a pretty flexible guy/will eat anything, and I'm no food critic, but I was very disappointed with the $64 New York Strip I ordered--especially since the restaurant is ironically touted as best for steak. It was dry and a bit tough - I ordered it medium well. I admit I did not call this to the attention of my server, who was great, and I also maximized the tip. But thought should be brought to your attention - must've just been an off night as I don't think you'd be in business for long or be calling yourself a premium steakhouse if most of your steaks were served like the one I had. I was actually hoping to find wagyu on your menu, but shrugging shoulders. :) I'm still recommending Son'z to a fried in the belief it was a true blip on another otherwise spotless steak record(?)

    My husband and I were here celebrating our honeymoon and we couldn't have asked for better service and quality of food. The best steakhouse on the island hands down! Thank you to the entire staff for making us feel like royalty!

    Food was great. My steak was cooked perfectly. The sides were fantastic. The wait staff is very friendly and did a perfect job. The wine prices were a bit high for the selection. All in all it was a good find and I would go again.

    Underwhelming. The tomahawk steak was cooked just fine but flavor was lacking. The sides were ordinary for an expensive restaurant (at least they came with the steak order though). We had the loaded mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Ambience and location was nice though inside the Hyatt.

    When the Mac & cheese is better then the porterhouse, you should rethink the name. SERVICE: Horrendous, to get any info it was like we had to pull teeth. Putting this under service because it showed how much they cared. Went to the washroom. Only 2 toilets, one was clogged with stool and the other with puke ( probably had the Porterhouse) , told the hostess and never saw anyone go into the bathroom. DRINKS: Even after being repeatedly told that they wanted only 2oz of vodka in the dirty martini. The waiter still took it upon himself to bring it with 3 because it was the same price. Nobody’s cared about price. Old fashioned, have had better at a neon sign franchise. FOOD: The sides were great, The porterhouse was absolute crap. I would have enjoyed a 7 eleven cheeseburger more.

    Very disappointed in this visit to Sons. Steak was over cooked, which ruined the whole meal. Was offered a replacement cut of meat but would take 15-20 minutes while the other party in our twosome ate alone. Wine ordered was not available so substitute was offered as “something similar.” Could not charge to our room and was asked by the server “do you have another means of payment?” And I won’t even get into being offered a birthday dessert and then being charged for it.     Well. Of course the place is in a very beautiful area and was outside with a nice little man-made pond in front of the ocean. I guess I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I would say the steaks were kind of mediocre and the sides. Also, the server was polite, but was so busy with other tables. It was difficult to get their attention for help. I guess the worst part was that the food was really just a bit warm not hot like at a fine restaurant or home. Overall pretty expensive.

    I had the lamb chops that were made with perfection. The sauce on the side was a Greek flair of oil, oregano and unknown. I was dipping my bread in it because it was tasty! The overall service was excellent however the value I questioned as this place is pricey. Two people no drinks, two appetizers with one side split and our entree, $200 not including tip.

    Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was good, only issue was our mashed potatoes arrived luke warm so we let our server know and he had them replaced. We really enjoyed the dumplings and tomahawk steak. Everything was as expected. Is it a bit pricey? Yes, but you are at a steakhouse in Maui. Only downside is you can’t see the sunset from this location. We would go back.
