We came to The Edge Steakhouse to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and were really looking forward to the experience. The food was great — everything we ordered was delicious and well-prepared. The service was also warm and polite throughout the evening. That said, there were a few disappointments that took away from the overall experience. We had a reservation but weren’t seated until nearly an hour later. We had specifically requested a window table to enjoy the sunset, but there was no communication that the wait for that table would be so long. Had we known, we would have happily chosen a different table, as we unfortunately missed the sunset anyway. Additionally, our appetizer order was initially mixed up. Thankfully, our server handled it graciously — comping the incorrect item and promptly bringing out what we originally ordered. All in all, it was a good dinner with great food and kind service, but the lack of communication and long wait made it feel a bit less special than we had hoped for such a meaningful occasion.

I had a rather mixed experience at The Edge, which left me with conflicting thoughts about my visit. Starting on a positive note, the **Sea Scallops** were truly a highlight. They were seared to perfection and paired beautifully with the roasted cauliflower velouté and salmon roe beurre blanc. The addition of fines herb oil, pea tendrils, and pea shoots added a lovely freshness to the dish that I really appreciated. However, my excitement dwindled when I ordered the **Tiger Prawn Cocktail** for $36. As someone who enjoys seafood, I was taken aback by how it was presented—the shrimp carapace was still intact and difficult to manage. This left me feeling disappointed as it didn’t meet my expectations from such an esteemed establishment like Ritz's restaurant. Next came my experience with the **EDGE CAESAR salad** priced at $20. Instead of a thoughtfully arranged salad, I received what felt like more of an afterthought—a quartered head of romaine that made it quite messy to eat with its toppings simply shredded and unable to stay in place. It lacked the finesse one might expect at this price point. In hindsight, perhaps I should have gone for the **EDGE WEDGE salad** for $22 instead; though they looked similar in concept, something told me they'd be executed better. To top off my evening’s frustrations was the service—sitting at the bar proved inconsistent and somewhat testy. While I've enjoyed previous visits to The Edge, this particular night fell short due to these various disappointments—notably tied back to Ron’s service. Overall, while there were some bright spots during my meal, they couldn’t outweigh the disappointments that came alongside them. Here’s hoping for a better experience next time!

Food, staff, and experience was outstanding. Not sure if their 6oz filet is at the level of a $95 price tag. But it was still really good.

The Ribeye was tough and had no cap. It was very, very disappointing. The waiter was great and views spectacular. I would never recommend this spot nor would I return. The prices are ridiculously high.

Stunning views of the valley and mountains from the restaurant above Rancho Mirage (Ritz Carlton), and truly well executed and delicious steaks. Salads are crisp and and cold and the seafood appetizers are a strong point. A solid bar and wine list, and efficient, knowledgeable service make for a long or brisk meal —you set the pace. The window tables are “by availability” when you arrive, but the views are nice from most of the smallish room - if not from every seat (two-tops have one chair backing the view). Kids in the restaurant can raise the noise level pretty significantly so doesn’t count on a chill vibe. Dinner for 2 is $400+ but it’s a lovely spot when the sun sets and the crowd is right.
