Outside dining was nice with a view of the pond/lake. We wished that they had beer on tap instead of bottles.
Went for breakfast during a staycation at The Avenue of the Arts Hotel. Food and service was excellent. Nice portion and a good value for the food quality. Will definitely return.
Beautiful restaurant, quiet setting, I would highly recommend the bacon wrapped dates.
Drinks were slow, which was strange since it was a quiet night.
The burger was grisly, and the butter lettuce was a little tired and out of place.
Not sure whether we’ll go back yet, but the noise level and ambiance exceeded expectations.
Food was ok and service has horrible. Pretty atmosphere
The place was empty and my boyfriend and I were the only ones at the restaurant besides 3 elderly women. I had to get up to look for my waiter in order to have a refill for my drink, he didn’t come around to offer refills, he forgot to place our appetizer in so we didn’t get anything until the main entree was done. No wonder this place is literally empty!
Nice space, friendly staff, but the food was mediocre. We didn’t have the regular dinner offerings, just a kale salad and the turkey club, but they weren’t anything but ordinary at best. Just a simple Tito’s and tonic was $13.50, which seemed overpriced.
We had a 6:15 reservation for dinner before our 7:30 show at Agyros Plaza. We were the only patrons in the restaurant when we arrived so it was very quiet, which was cool. I had a chicken & brown rice bowl which was very good. The food and wine were reasonably priced. The staff did a great job and were very cordial. I'd definitely come back before another Segerstrom event.
Great food! Very relaxing place to have breakfast
Pancakes were pretty tough but everything else was exc
Came for dessert and mint tea. Lovely atmosphere and good service to boot!
Halibut was raw in the middle. Waiter promptly offered to replace it, and the replacement was cooked well. Tried severs dishes here: rack of lamb, mushroom flatbread, halibut, and steak. All of the dishes were pretty bland, nothing unique at all.
Excellent customer service from Mitchell! We’ll be back soon!
After we received our food, we were never checked on for refills or if we needed anything else. For the price of the food, we hoped we would have been checked on. They cleared out our plates after the meal was paid for. There were only two other tables being waited on while we were there. The only other time we saw a worker was when they handed us the bill, without asking if we needed anything else. It felt as though we were being kicked out. Never eating there again.
Food, drinks, and service was great! Our waiter was wonderful!
This cute spot that is tucked away most certainly can be called a “hidden gem” in the OC. From it’s decadent decor to the delicious drinks, you cannot go wrong at this eatery. I love coming here and will keep returning as the service here is impeccable! P.s. try the bacon wrapped dates!!
First time back at Silver Trumpet since the pandemic.
Enjoyed celebrating a family birthday before we attended an outdoor concert at Segerstrom Center. Our server, Mitch, was very helpful and so personable.
We will be back soon.
Restaurant is ok but their menu is very limited. Service was outstanding and the food we had was tasty.
Great service. Mitch is a greater server. He also did a great job bartending. Food was very good.
This is part of a Hotel restaurant. I should have looked better at there website.
The food was worth the price, well cooked and has a wonderful flavor to it. I ordered a salmon and a bowl of cooked tiny potato with very good sauce. The environment was awesome, everyone has quite a distance between and the noise level was really low too. The service was great and it is a very good place to take some pictures. There is a bar outside and outdoor dinning in the back of the restaurant too. Just be sure to arrive before 7PM. :)
Wonderful food, service and ambiance as always. I look forward to the return of live music.
Food and ambiance is great there, especially in between the lunch or dinner rush. Still not too crowded. Usually service is strong but with a skeleton crew still our waitress was below average and not up to par from previous experiences there. I recommend breakfast or lunch at an outside table, when they seem to have overall better service and attitudes.
Excellent location and customer service. Food was delicious The best restaurant in town Jorge was very attentive and made the lunch birthday celebration special by singing Happy Birthday . Free dessert was provided to our table . Definitely going back . Free parking with restaurant validation .
We will return.
Great service, wonderful decor, delicious drinks, and very satisfying food. Definitely a place to visit whenever you're in the area.
This restaurant should not be open until they can provide a minimum level of service and food beverage choices. They could not make the drink requested. They could not provide the bottle of wine chosen. They did not even serve the complimentary basket of bread. While the restaurant was empty, the service was dreadfully slow. The menu was quite limited, yet prices were ridiculously high. My food was served on a tin plate that reminded me of meals at a summer camp.
The Silver Trumpet used to be the “go to” restaurant before Segerstrom events. This is no longer the case.
Disappointing! The food was decent, but very overpriced and very small portions. This is a great place if you're on a diet! The brussell sprouts were very tasty, and hubby's lamb chops were good but skimpy. The halibut was the most disappointing, because it came with plain white rice and a few grape tomatoes! Seriously I could make something better at home at a fraction of the cost. The ambience was nice, but I can see why it was empty on a Friday night, especially with Performing Arts not happening. The service was friendly, but you could hear the kitchen crew, which detracted from the upscale ambience they were trying to create.
The restaurant is super nice, high class, Even tho, they have not pricey dishes without losing the quality and and delicious flavors. 100% recommended. I will back for my self and i will e.joy the patio and drink a glass of wine with a mushrooms flatbread on the side. (My favorite appetizer)
Eduardo is outstanding and provides excellent customer service. Food is always delicious with very generous portions.
Super convenient located right across the street from Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Fabulous service. Exceptional food and wine. Perfect for a meal before seeing a performance!
I was extremely disappointed with the food. Honestly it was rly gross. I’m not a picky eater at all but it was just bad. I got the mushroom flatbread and it tasted like bowling alley pizza. We also got salads that were very bad. I saw this restaurant on a best food in OC list and after, I was genuinely confused.
We waited almost half an hour for our food (mostly salads) to be served and this was with only 3-4 other tables seated. The food was very good and the staff friendly. On the fence about recommending them if this pace of the kitchen is the norm.
Our server was extremely nice, so this review is not negative on his part.
This “restaurant” is a glorified hotel lobby bar. The food is extremely overpriced, the ambiance is awkward and quiet and the photos shown online mainly show the patio which is actually small.
The “flat bread” had to be frozen because it had zero taste, but the worst was the pasta. I sent it back because it was undercooked (to the point of being crunchy (not al dente) and while the server was happy to take it back the manager came by afterwords to let me know “that’s how they serve it” and that the chef was shocked I sent it back. To top it off, she even told me SHE personally tasted it and thought it was fine.
Oh and you will pay at least $5 for parking even if you get validation + a bill of $120 if you order two meals and two cocktails. Not worth it.
It was our first brunch out in a very long time. Seated quickly✅ felt welcomed by our server ✅ CoVid protocols in place for employees✅ ambiance was fresh air overlooking a lake ✅food was good but the waffles should come with more berries and cream- the Cali Benedict was so fresh I should have order two whole servings. The other really good thing is that they juice was fresh squeezed and the mimosas flowed easily ✅ overall this is a good spot and a hidden gem as it’s tucked away with the. Portofino hotel property. We will try this spot again
The ambience was great. Very classy, comfortable and great energy. I'll definitely be back for more great food, drinks and a memorable experience.
Our waiter David was the best ever, very accommodating when we wanted to switch tables. Food was promptly served.
We had a beautiful view of the pond and it was super nice. Only wish they had heaters down on that level. They did give us blankets though!
outdoor dinning available, great customer service.
Best Cobb salad ever. I ordered it with their balsamic vinegrette, ate every bite and wanted to lick the plate (but didn’t). Good coffee. Service was a little slow, but we were not in a hurry, so it didn’t detract much from our experience. Parking is validated, and that’s a big plus.
Lunch was amazing! The food was so fresh. You can tell the chef puts so much love into what he makes. The wine list is exceptional as are the craft cocktails! The patio is so beautiful and relaxing. It's such a hidden gem!
