   It was both my best friend's birthday and mine, so we planned our visit to Scotts Seafood restaurant. I was looking forward to our visit in order to catch-up on our goings and comings. No river view and the sounds of the family groups did not take away from our Excellent dining experience. We very much enjoyed the restaurant welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the decor was tastefully done. The food was freshly prepared, the restaurant offered a wide number of courses including lobsters, fish, desserts, and a good selection of drinks. In my opinion, it was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to visiting this restaurant again.

   Haven't been to Scott's for awhile. The food has stepped up a notch since our last visit a year ago. Great poke nachos, good calamari. Excellent entrees- 2 "regular" halibut with really tasty green beans, a salmon, and a tuna two ways - all were excellent. Top notch. We sat on the patio and laughed at the view of a wall of canvas instead of the river. Hardly anticipated. Prices everywhere are a shock - and at Scott's as well. Just have to treat dinner out as a special occasion - indeed the food was delicious.

   Since work is being done on the levy, there is no self parking. So be prepared to pay $8 for valet parking. No ones fault, as it’s necessary work that the city is doing. But we were a little disappointed though that they had to put up a barrier to block all river views when you dine outside. So it is temporary enclosed. We had such a nice waiter though and the food was good. So we will continue to support Scott’s in the months ahead while this huge project is happening.

   Scott’s has gone downhill for the price. I’m shocked I spent nearly $200 on mediocre food. The server was really nice, but talked so much. I’m sure that’s his job to go over the specials and everything, but that’s just not our vibe so it was a little much. I also don’t like people driving my car so the fact that valet was mandatory was annoying.

    Parking was awful- took over 20 min to get car from valet- they are being remodeled and have huge walls up blocking any view of the river. The server did not fill water and the burger I ordered was undercooked. Very disappointed in this as I have been a repeat customer at the restaurant and hotel. Won’t be returning.

    This restaurant is overrated in my opinion. First it is on the river, but they are doing construction and there is no view of the river. It is advertised as a seafood restaurant, but there are mostly fish entrees. We will not be returning.

    The food is always high quality. I’m vegetarian and my daughter doesn’t eat meat products except sustainable wild caught fish and they always accommodate us with no problem. Our waiter Zay was very attentive and provided excellent service. We’ll be back soon.

    Parking is an issue. The past two times we’ve had dinner at Scott’s it’s take us 10 minutes or so to get through the valet line.

    Unfortunately, at this time there is no river view outside ( Army corp working to upgrade river bank). Service was excellent. Cheese cake was pretty bad.

    Scott's is our favorite seafood restaurant, and our recent visit was as wonderful as ever! The shrimp salad was presented beautifully and wasn't overloaded with lettuce as is usually the case. Our server Damien was very friendly and attentive.

    Not at all like it used to be. Service was ok but definitely not the standard it used to be. Food was ok. I’m fine to pay high prices for amazing food but this wasn’t it. The whole experience was just ok and I used to love this place. Also they should have mentioned the entire river view was covered up by a brown tarp.     Ordered the filet mignon with scallops. I’ve had this dish a few times before but last night it came out with the missing white sauce, two very tiny pieces of scallops, green beans tasted like it was cooked thoroughly, and one slab of thick fried onion on top.

    Very disappointed to get there to find the view of the river is completely blocked! We drove over an hour to enjoy the view for a Mother’s Day lunch. Being told it will be in place until the end of the year.

    There was no ambience. Considering that it was Mother's Day weekend they had nothing special. Not even a menu with Mother's Day wording on it. Food was just ok. Experience was nothing special.

    Disappointed. For years Scott's has been our go-to favorite for quality seafood. My wife and I went for our anniversary. My dish was very good (skirt steak with chimichurri sauce). However, my wife's halibut was mealy (taste and texture of farm-raised), the green beans were undercooked, and the rice pilaf was very bland. The wait staff were eager to make it right, asked if she would like something else, and comped a glass of wine. She asked for the fish and chips, and again the fish had the taste and texture of farm-raised. In summary, the service was great, but the quality of the fish was significantly below expectations based on price point and previous visits.

    We were disappointed when we showed up expecting to enjoy the beautiful river view to find a big canvas barrier due to levee work. Furthermore We didn’t know that valet parking was required because there were no notices about that on open table. HOVEVER the service and food made up for it. We still were able to enjoy the outdoors sans river view and the manager was very apologetic and took care of us. Even though the main reason we go to Scott’s is for the river view we WILL go back again before the Levee construction is completed. Still a great patio experience, good food and GREAT service

    Food is pricey but could be worth it if the experience supported the menu. Experience starts when you enter the restaurant. $358 spent and there is no parking? Well there is $8 valet parking only. Then, our reservation wasn’t ready. There was no delay in seating, but there was trivial discussion on where to seat my party. My waitress did well and I was happy with the service, however uniform and apron was as clean as you’d expect for an establishment in this price range. Also, in addition to not having customer parking, the restaurant no longer has the “River” view so that really takes away from the experience. I usually dine here 4-6 times per year. The food is good but I’m very doubtful I’ll visit this restaurant again.

    We've always have been to Scott's for dinner occasions. So we decided to try a Sunday brunch to celebrate our 35 years of marriage. We had a wonderful time as usual bit what really impressed us was the brunch menu and food. I had the juavos Rancheros and my wife had the eggs benedict. Both meals were amazing. Thank you for always being a quality restaurant. Love the bloodymarys too.

    Scott's on the River is a wonderful restaurant, but I would recommend not going there right now because there is no self-parking due to Corps of Engineers' levee work and valet parking costs $8. I suggest the restaurant get the Corps of Engineers' to pay for vale parking.
