Sehr gut zu empfehlen 😎🇺🇸
The food, service, setting and evening was wonderful!
From the moment we arrived, the attention and service we received was outstanding. We arrived at sunset and had a beautiful view of the sun setting with the ocean only a few yards away. Although not intimate, still quite romantic. The food.. from the grilled octopus to the Ceasar salad to the mixed grilled seafood and pesce piccata.. was delicious. Just a wonderful evening to spend with my wife on our anniversary.
Great affordable brunch spot, staff was great...view very nice!
Food is great. Service is great. Eat dinner while watching waves crash on the beach right in front of you. Always a good time.
We have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years and it used to be great food and service. The location is still beautiful but the service has gone seriously downhill. 2/5 of our orders came out incorrect and we were served dessert with our dinner plates still on the table. Some dinner plates were still on the table when we left and had finished dessert. For the prices being paid there should be better services.
We’ve been her previously and had expectations for this to be a great evening. The food was good but the service left us wondering what was going on. Our server interrupted us a number of times in an awkward fashion. Then the restaurant manager came to take our order right after we served our drinks. We were like can you give us time to enjoy ourselves. The place was on 50% occupied. They weren’t busy and we didn’t understand what the rush was.
We eventually ate and the food was good as usual.
Anyway the food is good. The view at sunset stunning and hopefully the service will return to what it was previously.
Atmosphere is only the view. Interior use to nicer before the remodel. The food was very bland and not very exciting.
Food was average, service was awful. Waited 10 minutes to even get a drink menu then another 10 minutes to order drinks. Server seemed preoccupied and like we were imposing on him. Not friendly or even very helpful. Atmosphere was great being right on the beach but still loud. Too many other good choices on Maui for food - won’t be back.
We have been going to Sorrento's for years when we travel to Maui. The views, food and great service cannot be beat. The owner came over to our table and we had a great conversation.
The service was excellent right from the moment we entered the restaurant. All of our party had a different entree and enjoyed everything. The wine recommendation was right on for our taste. We will definitely be back.
Awesome food staff and view. They made it a really memorable night for our family!!
We had a very nice dinner. The Gazpacho was outstanding !!!
Perfect again !
Thanks for everything Eric the bartender
View is great, food ok but too expensive, but the service was terrible. Sat for over 15 minutes before waiter even came to take our drink order and then was short with us. Then another 25 minutes before the manager finally came over and realized no one ever took our dinner orders. Food took forever, another 45 minutes and we still didn’t have entries. I would not recommend eating here.
We ordered a number of appetizers and entrees and they were mediocre at best and wildly overpriced. Service not particularly good either. But great location
It is on the beach -- that is about the best thing one can say. Our waiter dropped menus and didn't show for at least 30 minutes -- I give credit to the manager who actually took our drink and food order. The next time we saw our waiter was when he walked by and simply grabbed two of our appetizer plates (three diners) without saying a word. The young men who delivered food, bread and water were polite and decent (the manager delivered the wine). Food was average, not the primary draw.
We came here for brunch but it wasn't as good as when we came for dinner a few years ago. Ambience, food, and service is much better at night.
We booked brunch on New Year’s Day thinking there would be something special on the menu but there wasn’t. Service was slow. We waited 40 minutes for our food and when it came three of the 6 dishes we ordered were incorrect to some degree. One of our sides was forgotten completely.
We came here for dinner on New Year’s Eve. We did not know ahead of time that it was a prix fixe menu. The service staff were working very hard and seemed exhausted. The food was just okay and really expensive—well over a hundred bucks a person for mass produced mediocre food. I had the crab cake/caprese salad (they kept on calling it an amuse bouche and explaining what the term meant, thanks! I knew that already), and then the ricotta gnocchi (decent, a little salty) and then the chicken Marsala (chicken was dry and tough) and then the coconut chocolate pie (this was terrible and rubbery). I don’t know if I’d be willing to go back on a regular non-holiday night but the setting was quite nice, right on the beach.
It was appreciated that the chef - even with a fixed December 31st menu - was able to listen to and accommodate my wife’s low-low sodium diet. It was also great that they responded to our request for a table by the sand.
This restaurant is way over-priced for the quality of food. The only thing going for it is the location. We will not be returning.
Way overpriced and poor food quality and preparation. Ambiance was poor too!
New years 4 course dinner not worth the money at all. The lobster bisque had a film on it and was luke warm at most. The other courses not the best either. Very dissatisfied with the whole meal. I'm not one to send food back, just wont dine there again.
Awesome place to celebrate, or just have a great dinner overlooking the ocean. The price of the pre fixe NY Eve dinner was a bit high. Ordering off the menu would be a little less expensive!
When we arrived our table was not ready, we were early, so we sat at the bar. We ordered some appetizers and drinks. Service and food were really good! Then we moved to our table.....we ordered a kids meal right away and it was delivered within 15 minutes, very quickly. An hour after we ordered our dinner, some of it arrived (party of 6). I ordered the rack of lamb, medium. It arrived raw and cold! Two other dinners were served with mine, no flavor. About 10 minutes later the the 5th person got their meal. About 10 minutes after that I had to ask where the last meal was!!!! They totally forgot. They felt horrible and tried to make it better w free desert, would not have helped. At the end of the dinner, 3 out of 6 didn’t eat dinner......
Food was mediocre at best, very expensive, service was diverted to VIPs, waited over 1 hour for entrees after appetizers served.
Everything was wonderful! The service was above & beyond, the food delicious, gorgeous setting!
We ate Christmas dinner here, and it was wonderful!
Christmas dinner for a family of 4 with a spectacular view of the sunset. Great meal, with food options for all. Service was spot on. Would highly recommend. Among Maui’s “must go” restaurants.
Outstanding food and service. Beautiful place. Highly recommend
The front desk staff were awful - we booked weeks ahead, went early to ensure a good table, even tipped the hostess - they tried to seat us exactly where we didn't want to be - then when the rest of our party arrived they assured them we weren't there and we were only on stand by! How to make people feel unimportant!!! On the other hand the servers were outstanding and the food and wine list everything we had hoped for.
Horrible service, bad timing, marginal food. We were seated for 20 minutes before being acknowledged. It was downhill from there. The waiter made it a point to say we would be served by a team, which was true, but we rarely saw him or anyone. He became more scarce after we told him our appetizer was cold which came with our salads. Breakfast in prior years was fabulous, so I was excited to try dinner. Sadly disappointed.
Very good for Brunch, but dinner service was very slow.
The restaurant wasn’t nearly full, but even with the managers serving us it took over 1/2 hour to get an appy, service was very slow for the main course also. 2 hours total to serve from start to finish.
Luckily we were not in a rush to be anywhere.
Appys were ok, mains same. Nothing spectacular.
(Octopus, frito misto, fish pasta, mixed seafood grill)
Deserts were all excellent.
I suspect that some staff called in sick or did not show, because of the Christmas season, therefore the managers had to cover and did their best?
On the positive side the crepes and huevos rancheros at brunch are excellent.
I want to give this another try for dinner some time, maybe just bad timing?
Fabio and family
Drinks were very good, as were the beach/water views. There aren’t many restaurants where you can eat and drink while watching whales swim by. Nice experience overall, the food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t remarkable either.
Came here to celebrate our anniversary and received first class treatment. Servers were attentive, professional, friendly. We had the fish dip appetizer, Caesar salad, and two different pastas for dinner...we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Now, the view...can’t get any better than this!! Loved our evening here!
It was highly recommended by a local resident
We had a delightful evening with friends as we sat along the rail. The sunset was beautiful and the food was delicious. The wait staff was attentive without hovering. We were able to share meals that were split in the kitchen and the food was served hot! We have dined at Sarento's before and the food has been consistently very good.
We dined to celebrate and birthday and we were not disappointed. We really liked our cocktails and wine with dinner. My bucatini was outstanding and the tiramisu for dessert was heavenly. Randall did a great job! Looking forward to our next visit.
Dining room wall opens to the beach and great sunset watching. The food is excellent and the service is well done. The ambience is superb.
