Friendly, attentive staff; took everyone’s temperatures and dispensed hand sanitizer to keep people safe - plus the food is beautifully prepared, creative, and tastes awesome!
Free from quarantine!
We had a wonderful delicious dinner - we really had amazing service and enjoyed all the food and drinks. It was a treat and felt great to have a date night after 2 months of lockdown. The staff was amazing too. Recommend the scallops with mushroom scallops.
Our first restaurant visit in months! I must say it was nice not being so loud and having some space. I'm sure the restaurant would prefer to be full but it was a pleasant dining experience. The food was delicious and we can't wait to go back again! Service was outstanding and attentive.
The food was very good and the prices reasonable for an establishment of this calibre. The noise level was not bad at all perhaps due to the fact that because of the current conditions it was not full. They still had clientele but there were several open tables.
I had to give it less than five stars for several reasons, starting with our seats next to a loud woman and guy (as it turned out that was “mom of girlfriend” and “daughter’s boyfriend”. God, they all had issues. This restaurant is very specific about the amount of time they “allow” you to eat; i.e, for two people you get 90 minutes. And warnings about being late. While we were at our less-than lovely table, the two people mentioned above were at a four-top. After a good 50 minutes, a third person arrived, this would be “daughter/girlfriend”. OMG, Issues!! And we had to hear it, so annoying. To all diners, take your crap somewhere outside of a nice restaurant. And then, these people who occupied a four-top mind you, asked the waiter to bring them some bread and butter; they were having drinks. The waiter brings the bread and butter and says “do you have questions on the menu?” At which time the self-important threesome indicated “oh we decided we’re just going to have the bread and butter, check please.” OMG, I am not making this up!
So, our meals were good, our waiter was good, the place seemed to fill up, a lot of people just get the burger, I had wanted to go here a long time and now that I have, it’s a checkmark. Don’t have that urge to return, which is too bad for them. I guess my other comment/question to the restaurant is “why, when you were so empty, did you seat us near such a loud and annoying couple?”
Waiter good enough
Food not correct and very Salty
Other food we have had while on vacation here is superior
Waited for an hour and fifteen minutes before we were told that they served one of our order to another table! In the meantime, my burger was sitting under a heat lamp! Unacceptable for high end restaurant. When I asked for the bill, they had the audacity of including all the items which wasn't served! Total RIP off. Will never set foot there again.
Love sitting at the Fire bar and the team of mixologists at the main bar can make the best cocktails.
Best thing I can share is that my reservation was honored with a table waiting although it was across from the bathroom near a wait station. I didn’t realize I received the wrong pasta dish until I tasted it. It took some time to get our waiters attention to address this. His response was to take the dish and say I’ll check the order. He then retuned to the table and asked it I had tasted it? I relied yes flabbergasted that he asked. Seriously what was he going to do with this once served plate. It took some time to finally revive my gnocchi which was doughy and bland. I ate about 1/3 of it. My daughter returned her pot roast and our friend had to ask for her requested avocado ordered replacement for guacamole which was met by a well it’s usually under the quinoa burger implying she should look for it. To top it all off I had a stomach ache later that evening. Overall a bad experience. Will not be back!
We had a 5:00 pm reservation and I had the hamburger which was black on the outside and over cooked.
Not particularly thrilled about the beet salad
Atmosphere and food were great. Service between courses was slow and we got there at 5:15pm on a Sunday. Accommodating for families with kids.
I took 10 members of my family there on only a one day's advance notice. Everyone loved the food and we had a great time. A little noisy for my 90 year old father but great wait staff. Considering that I also show up with extensive food allergies, I really appreciate the staff and kitchen for providing me with an excellent meal. I was confident that a Bradford Heap restaurant would be good and I was amply rewarded for my faith!
Thanks for being quiet. Too many restaurants are so noisy you can’t hear your companions.
Service was great. The food could have been better - my brisket was tough and not hot enough.
It was a good experience, but we are not likely to return. The service was excellent, and the food was good, but nowhere near good enough to justify the price. I know Pearl Street is an expensive place to be, however I expected to be blown away with the food. We left disappointed in the value for what we got. We were not blown away.
Wonderful food and wonderful service!!
We went for brunch. The gluten free crepes and the biscuit and gravy were amazing with a $6 price point. The main dishes at three times the price, sucked. A dry burger, dusty gluten free pancakes and a interpretive corn beef hash that just didn’t make the cut. I have had a great dinner experience and was surprised that they would serve such lack luster dishes at a 75$ brunch price point. Wouldn’t do it again.
The sprouts were absolutely delicious. Followed by the quinoa burger. The French fries were only average unfortunately.
Amazing flavors! Excellent meal, service and evening out!! One of Boulder’s best!!
Great atmosphere; interesting food, well prepared; and fine service. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. the service and pacing were excellent. We'll definitely be back.
Food was just “ok”. My daughter has eaten here a few times and highly recommended - this time though it was an off-night. The service was good along with the ambiance - I’ll go back for another try hoping this was just an one-off.
We came for DENVER Restaurant week.
The 1st two courses were good. 4/5 stars. The chocolate tart was very dry and flavorless. Very disappointing. The waitress also put the dessert spoons on the wine list book. Not very sanitary as this book is touched by multiple people daily. We were also never asked if we wanted a second drink. We probably won’t return.
My dinner (sage gnocchi) was not well made--the gnocchi were extremely mushy, the meat was overcooked, the flavors didn't blend well, and it didn't look appealing by any means. The rest of my party was not particularly impressed with their meals either. The table was noisy, but that was not because of the restaurant--the table next to us was using FaceTime on speaker with the volume all the way up, and their child was kicking one of our occupied chairs for a significant period of time. I will not be returning. The only person who got offered a dessert menu was the person who elected to do the Prix Fixe menu for restaurant week--the rest of us elected not to because the selection was not to our taste.
Had the Salmon Salad. Delicious! My friend had the tomato soup and fries. She enjoyed them both. Started going there when it was Tom’s Tavern as a freshman at CU. It was excellent then. Now it’s a beautiful room with even better food!
Great brunch, nice surroundings, acceptable noise level. Would definitely go again
We have visited Salt on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed with the food and service simply outstanding
Great sitting at Chef Counter - Rick was very entertaining
We came for restaurant week. The food was amazing. The service was great. Would definitely go again
Great food minus the miscommunication between the server and cook about certain special entrees / brunch menu, such as french toast. The server said there was a special french toast modification with brioche buns, but he was misinformed and brought out the usual entree of french toast.
The ambience was great, minus the homeless man who came in to the restaurant screaming random things. Our table was the closest to his shenanigans.
The wait staff was very knowledgeable and the restaurant took into consideration a special request on seating. It was the first night of restaurant week and I thought the value was very good. Brussels are terrific and others raved about the burger.
The best butternut squash bisque in town. Exceptional service staff as well.
After a soup and salad course, our entrees were very delayed. Once they came, I was brought a well done fillet. I ordered a medium rare New York syrup special. They rushed the correct order and it was horrible. The steak was rare and tasted of gas. Clearly they fired the steak. The Brussels sprouts were raw, not crispy and tasteful. As it was my 50th birthday with family, I didn’t want to send it back a second time. And everyone else was finished with their entrees.
As a regular in fine restaurants around town, o was incredibly disappointed with the food, the timely, the horrible attempt to correct it by bringing an even worse entree. I brought a $42 steak home for my dog.
I'd recommend SALT for a normal dinner, but not a special event such as Valentine's day when I went. Reason being, the food was great, but their Valentine's day meal was not planned for what so ever. I don't understand the point of a reservation system if the restaurant is not actually following it, and not prepared for the amount of people present, not making sure there is adequate seating and that customers are being filtered out at a reasonable time to accommodate for future customers. We had to wait outside for 15 minutes, as there was no waiting area inside the restaurant even though we were on time with our reservation. In between courses also took a very long time, getting to the point where my date and I decided to get the last course to go as we had already been in the restaurant for 2 hours and needed to leave for our following plans. It was a big disappointment, and I hope this establishment is well prepared in the future for events like this one, and they take proper precautions to not allow for this to occur again.
This was our first time at Salt for dinner. It did not disappoint!! Attentive service, spectacular food and reasonable prices. Since this was Valentines Day, they only offered three course price fix.. not a problem,, we got different dishes and shared. The lobster bisque had great flavor, but could have beef hotter. The pear/ blue cheese/candied walnuts was unbelievable. I had seared scallops with polenta that was spectacular. My date had the pork belly and it was even better. I had to push her for a few tastes!! I am sure this will be one of our “go to” spots
We were given a table down in the basement which really provided the proper ambiance for a couple's dining experience. The selections on the Valentine's Day menu were perfect with dishes to appease any palate. I had the Grass Finished Wagyu tasting and she enjoyed Mary's Brick Chicken. Both dishes were excellent with my NY strip being seared to perfection. The staff was very accommodating, making great wine selections and going the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied. Definitely a night to remember.
The food was fabulous and the service was exceptional.
We went on Valentines Day for the Prix Fixe menu and it was wonderful. Best meal I have had there in a long time and meals there are always good. Attentive service as well.
Advertised as honoring the old Toms Tavern. I went there many times when I lived in Boulder. The only connection was a hamburger named after Toms Tavern, which unlike the original, was too salty, with onions that were not fresh, ketchup that tasted like it was part shrimp sauce and something else, mayo that was thin and spiced with something that mayo does not have. All together, I expected the high prices, after all its Boulder, but the food was a big disapointment.
