Charming place with a good wait staff. Pretty solid dishes not trying to be ultra creative but with the right focus on quality, which is what they require in Boulder.
The wait staff brought us the wrong food and when our original order came, it was cold. This place is considered more on the luxury dining end for Boulder so I was disappointed to have food that I could’ve made at home.
SALT is always a memorable dining experience. The addition of the plexiglas dividers makes each table feel private…but I did miss looking around the historic building with its hammered ceilings and brick walls. The presentation of the food is always delightful- certainly nothing I do at home. I will be sure to be back soon.
Great food and good service Impressed by the hard working and pleasant wait staff Will return !!
We love Salt. Have been there many times. This visit wasn’t good. The menu was very limited, no fish or chicken. All of their great sides were not on the menu. I had the special filet skewer and risotto that was excellent. Others had the special lamb but both dishes were full of fat. The service was horrible. We weren’t even half way through our salads and the entrees were “handed” to us. Kind of disappointing. Hopefully they can get their act together.
They were very professional and the food was amazing!
Food was fine. My wife had the lamb “stew” and loved it. I had Tom’s burger which was fine but nothing special. Caesar salad was way too salty. But real issue was service — kitchen was incredibly slow. Took one hour and fifteen minutes to get our food, with mains and salads coming at once. At the prices charged, they need to do better.
It was overall very nice
Very pleased SALT has reopened for Spring. Still an outstanding site to dine especially on special occasions. Best charcuterie in Boulder although they were out of the chicken pate and our reservation was at 5:45PM. My Old Fashioned was perfect and a complete steal at $10; maybe the best cocktail deal in town. For entrees we had the Gnocchi Bolognese and the special Wagyu Tenderloin. Both outstanding choices.
Looks like SALT had waitstaff turnover during the winter break but what appeared to be a new group was extremely friendly, well trained and attentive.
One of the nicest places in Boulder for a great dinner.
The wait staff took forever to get to us, the entree that we got was very disappointing for the price
SALT was fine. People watching great. Service good. Food average at best. Really wanted to give this place 5 stars for the location. It's a good date night but not excellent food.
FABULOUS meal celebrating a birthday. Three of us had the lamb which was super tender and wonderfully prepped.
Great, friendly service too.
Can't wait to go back and have the same dish!
The food was a bit underwhelming. The service was quick, but almost too rushed.
Great service! Great food! Loved the atmosphere!
So happy SALT is back....went there on Thursday dinner was excellent
We hadn’t dined at Salt in a while, and it was such a treat! The food was spectacular and service perfect. They had a three course restaurant week offering that was everybit as complete as the usual menu. We plan to come back as soon as in dining opens again.
Very good food and very COVID-19 responsible! They take everyone's temps when they walk in which made all of us feel comfortable.
We went for restaurant week and upgraded our meal, I had scallops and my husband had steak. Everything was delicious! Cooked perfectly! Service was great, and some personal attention from one of the owners making sure that we we happy. Highly recommend them and we don’t live in Boulder, we live in Northglenn. It was worth the drive.
Went for lunch on a Thursday and couldn’t have had a better experience. Food, service, location and mimosas were awesome. If you happen to find yourself looking for a place to eat in Boulder- this is it!
Nice little spot, felt safe, customers were spread out properly
Was very enjoyable!
Amazing locally sourced food. Great drinks and enjoyed every bite.
The food had great flavors and the servers were friendly. Everyone in my group of four was happy with their experience.
Made a reservation for happy hour- advertised on the website as 5-cl. We get there, there’s no happy hour (“We haven’t had happy hour since we closed for COVID and we haven’t had a chance to update the website”- bro, it’s been six months). Burger was overcooked and the gnocchi sauce literally(!) tastes like Chef Boyardee. Service was great and we really liked sitting outside. But for the price, next time we’ll grab a Whopper and a can of Beefaroni and save ourselves $80, thanks.
Food for horrible. Service was extremely poor. Never again.
Wonderful restaurant. Enjoyed my meal immensely. Would definitely go back
The central location and both inside and outside atmosphere of SALT is very Boulder. We made a reservation for 6 for a birthday celebration which was noted in the OpenTable comments, but neither the hostess or server mentioned it.
We started with the flatbread and it was delicious, but my Free Range Chicken sandwich is overpriced for the standard, no frills fare.
Overall, my experience was just ok. I will most likely not eat at SALT again.
Arrived today brims for our reservation. Seated immediately. Food was excellent servers informative and helpful. Very positive experience.
We mainly went for apps only. Charcuterie board was excellent as usual along with cocktails. Great service.
Probably the most romantic dinner spot in Boulder! We had a wonderful evening, with fantastic food and great wine pairings recommended by our server. A five star date night!
Love SALT. One of our favorite Go-To’s whenever we’re in Boulder. Everything is always so fresh & incredibly prepared!
Great service, nice patio seating. Could use another plant-based option or two, but the quinoa burger was delicious. Good wine selection.
Amazing food and great location. Definitely will return when back in Boulder!
Stopped here for a late lunch - cute spot on Pearl. I can see why it’s always crowded. Great Covid-19 set-up; tables were nicely spaced. The Brussel Sprouts were amazing! I had the tacos special of the day. Chicken had a nice flavor but very dry. Looked better than they tasted. My husband had the cesaer salad with blackened shrimp and that was great. I’d definitely go back and just order something else
This was our first date night since Feb 2020 and we couldn't have been more pleased with the food and our server, Spencer. We sat outside and enjoyed the intimate setting. We each had a cup of soup (tomato and butternut squash), I had the pasta special and my wife had steak. We each had a desert, and our cappuccinos were perfect! We'll be back.
Great meal! Sat outside near the street, but was not too loud. Food was amazing as I had the paella and it was recommended to pair it with a Tempranillo, which was perfect. We will be back!
Date with spouse
The restaurant was beautiful and they had extended outdoor seating due to Covid. Service was slow but food was good. We all ordered different types of pasta. I would have ordered a second glass of wine but the server didn't come back to check on us.
Our food and service was fantastic! The lights were too bright and the music a bit too cheesy Miami vibe for a restaurant in downtown Boulder, but we love Salt and will be back many many times for delicious organic meals and drinks!
Salmon was excellent, chicken was delicious with a twist on the “usual” roasted chicken- great spice! Yum
