Nice ambiance. Wait staff was excellent. Food was mediocre. Salad was bland. Bread was below average. Asparagus was sautéed in a sauce that was just not very good. The entree itself was good. Overall the meal was not worthy of recommending to friends.

This is truly a neighborhood gem. Love it every time we go! Food is outstanding.
Took 45 minutes to get a drink and got one refill of water in two hours after three separate courses. Finished plates on table for at least 30 minutes. Horrible service and constant traffic for sunset pictures. Seemed cheaper than years past. Won’t return free nine years of repeated service
The food, service, and view were spectacular. We were met with warm smiles and the evening just continued to improve. Just when you think it couldn't get better we were blessed with an amazing sunset. We look forward to dining at Sale e Pepe again. A true treasure on Marco Island.

Excellent menu albeit slightly reduced as this off-season now. Still has specialties such as stuffed zucchini blossoms and a wonderful carbonara. Chef Antonio creations are sure to please everyone's palate. The front of the house is likewise also excellent as they pay close attention to your needs. Excellent wine list as well. This is an excellent place to have a sunset dinner as the seating on the terrace is perfect for that.

The service and food were horrible. The restaurant wasn’t busy so there was no excuse for poor service.
We were charged 2X for the same bottle of wine plus double gratuity since it’s added to the bill. Then the sommelier insisted we hadn’t paid 2X and when we showed him the paid receipt his excuse for the rudeness was he’s having a bad week.
My carbonara was awful, my husbands branzino under cooked. Terrible anniversary dinner. Didn’t stay for dessert

Thoroughly enjoyed the dinner experience. It was our last vacation night at the resort and my husband and I went to celebrate my birthday. Meal was exceptional, the tuna tartare and the tomato with buffalo cheese was amazing. We had the ragu pasta but, next time I would order something lighter. The tiramisu was very good and my birthday dish was delish.
Wonderful dining experience. Stan was our server and he was spectacular. Made us feel like celebrities from the moment we sat down. The food was phenomenal and the view was beyond stunning. Highly recommend going here for a special occasion or date night- worth every penny!

Everything about this place is just awesome. The food was excellent as was the service. All employees are impeccably dressed. I never saw some pretty people in one place. Especially great for sun set dinner on the outdoor terrace.
Simply delightful! Excellent food, superb wine list with great service. The bar and dining rooms are beautiful and the atmosphere elegant. Come to dine here with people you wish to hear; you will be able to enjoy the conversation without throbbing music or excess noise.

Went here during our vacation on Marco Island. It was a nice place with seating outside on the terrace as well as inside; location is great, right on the gulf. There are not a lot of seafood choices as this is an Italian restaurant, however there were not a lot of different Italian options either. We chose a scallop dish which wAs a substitute for branziano; a salmon dish; a tenderloin. You do not get salads or soup with you entree and the entrees have a very small side with them. They do serve bread whic includes homemade focaccia. Our meals were very good; the tenderloin was the best ever and done perfectly rare as requested. For dessert we had chocolate ganache; pineapple with ricotta and homemade sorbet (pineapple and strawberry); they were all wonderful!! The restaurant adds 18% gratuity ; which seems odd for a group of 3 and in our case we usually tip at least 20%, which we still did. They are expensive; our bill was $268 and only one of us had an alcoholic beverage. We did enjoy our food, but rather try other locations when we visit here again
We have been coming here annually for over 10 Years. Never disappoints with food quality. Highly recommend for brunch when available and for an early dinner with outdoor seating.
My wife and I went Friday night. We enjoyed it so much we brought five more people back Saturday night.

In brief, our food was superb as was the ambience. We celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary at Sale e Pepe on May 24 in grand fashion. We sat on the patio, taking in a glorious sunset over the Gulf of Mexico while enjoying a glass of wine. Our dinners that followed were exquisitely prepared and most enjoyable. All our friends on Marco share our view that you invariably get a fine dining experience at Sale e Pepe
We have a phenomenal meal. There were eight of us and we all enjoyed everything that was ordered. My veal tenderloin was so Tender and flavorful. The zucchini blossoms were Crispy and flavorful. The cheese selections were excellent. Add to a spectacular dinner was our service. Sarah was personable friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and the flavors. Can’t wait to go back again.

IT IS ALWAYS A SPECIAL NIGHT WHEN MY WIFE AND I DINE HERE. WE ALWAYS SIT OUTDOORS AND ALWAYS REQUEST TEREZIA AS OUR SERVER. THE FOOD IS GREAT AND THE SETTING IS PERFECT. THIS IS STILL OUR FAVORITE PLACE ON MARCO!
The steak was underdone but I did not return it to the kitchen and ate as is. Service was good but we waited at least forty (40) minutes for the food. This seemed strange. It was quite an ordeal to order a side of pasta (this is an Italian Restaurant after all) to accompany the steak. I understand purists normally eat their pasta at lunch, and steaks (even at Italian Restaurants) are served with traditional sides such as mashed potatoes and vegetables. But, if you want pasta it shouldn't be that hard to get.
My wife said the bass she ate was the best she ever had - so, it was a hit for her. The wine was good. The waitress was attentive. The view was spectacular. We didn't quite understand the casual, formal, inside/outside paradigm used by the restaurant. We were quite well dressed but most of the people on the patio were "beach" casual.
Overall it was OK. I was expecting spectacular. So, I was a bit disappointed.

Very, very enjoyable meal as usual. It ranks as among the absolute best Italian dining in the region. Kudos to Chef Antonio for his inventive menu. You will find the front of the house excellent as well. Zucchini blossoms are in season now and the chef does magic with them by the way.
