Under the guidance of his Italian-native mother, and heavily influenced by his travels throughout Italy, Jake Imperiale opened Bella Napoli in 2001 to meet Kansas City's need for authentic Italian food, wine and market goods. Jake hand selects each product for Bella's deli and market and every item is imported from Italy. Wander across the room and you'll be immersed in an atmosphere as authentically Italian as it gets. An integral element of Bella Napoli, the pizzeria offers a variety of traditional Italian dishes.

Tom and I went there for our anniversary. The waitress was so personable and had good grooming. The food was delicious! And so was my drink. We plan to go there again! We went there on a Monday and it was hopping! Patty Schmitt

Lidia's features authentic, regional Italian cuisine. Every item at the restaurant is house-made entirely from scratch with the best ingredients available. Breads and desserts are baked in-house daily and each salad and entree is prepared fresh.

Every day Lidia's offers a sampling of seasonal, daily-made pastas. We also feature many seafood, chicken, pork, and beef options. We are happy to accommodate your dietary needs including gluten-free items.

Lidia's is located in the historic Freighthouse-- a beautiful 19th century building. The stunning decor includes three hand-blown chandeliers, a three-story slate fireplace, and cozy, New York style seating.

Our server worked hard to find a wine that was close to Pinot Grigio and it was very tasty. Of course the arancini was great-best in town. Sat outside on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. The Mediterranean salad was a very tasty and sumptuous one. Huge portion!

The pasta was magnificent, the service was great, desserts were terrific. We had a great time. It was our first time there and we were impressed. Several people in our party of 6 were from out of town. We were there to visit as much as eat. The restaurant was LOUD and made our visiting harder but we raised our voices and repeated conversations for people at the other end of the table. We still had a super fun time together and would go again.

Very loud in the restaurant but as tables emptied out it got better. Our server JD said he was new & he was very nice! We did have to keep asking for water refills but other than that he was delightful. The food was delicious

Was a solid step up from Olive Garden, and reasonably priced, quality menu items. Service was great, drink menu was fun.(In other words, if you want classic Italian fine dining, go to Lydia's.)
