Our bar seating is first come first served. We recommend reserving space ahead by calling 316-364-4141 or reserving on open table. Welcome to our little oasis in the middle of Kansas! Lava & Tonic, Wichita's finest immersive tiki bar. Our normal hours are Wednesday - Thursday 5 PM - 11 PM, Friday - Saturday 4 PM - 12:30 AM, & Sunday 4 PM - 10 PM. Drop by at 1716 E Douglas, located directly west of the Donut Whole.

Please take note your reservations have a time limit of two hours! We require this in order to maintain proper flow in our establishment!

Lava & Tonic is a must when you’re in Wichita. Fantastic drinks and decor. The music and lighting is on point. Tiki aficionados will appreciate easily the best tiki bar in Kansas!

The entertainment was spectacular and the service was as well. However, the food was OK. For the price that you paid per plate the food could have been better or less expensive. I thought two drinks were included with the meal and I found that to be very different when we got the tab as well as very unexpected service charge. But the entertainment was very, very energetic and well done.

The drinks were delicious. The food….the quality was great, however the cost was way too high for what was given (the charcuterie board). We didn’t know what anything was, except the obvious (cheese, pickles, green beans). I’ll be back for the drinks. The food…..did I mention drinks?

We named Tom’s Town Distilling Co. after the country’s most corrupt political boss, Tom Pendergast. Pendergast started as a saloon keeper and the founder of a wholesale liquor company.

Under Tom, Kansas City ignored Prohibition and emerged as the “Paris of the Plains.” Money, jazz, and spirits flowed in the open. When asked how he justified ignoring Prohibition, Pendergast quipped, “The people are thirsty.”

Today the people are still thirsty. Tom’s Town satisfies that thirst by producing premium craft spirits. You can taste our high standards and attention to detail in every sip of the gin, vodka, and bourbon we make.
