Had their Sunday roast on the terrace, which is a beautiful setting right on the riverside. The beef & all the usual trimmings were absolutely delicious! Will come back again.

Great experience at this restaurant. Our waiter, Gordon was excellent, the food was delicious, the ambiance was great and the only snag was no decaffeinated coffee ….

Our experience at Skylon was a great one. We'd been looking forward to go, and were really happy to see the pre-theatre 3-course menu, to give Skylon a try. The restaurant space is gorgeous, and the massive windows overlooking South Bank make for a fabulous setting. I was hoping for a bit more of the 1950s-inspired design, but overall the space was lovely, and not at all too cramped. Food overall was very good. My Caesar chicken salad starter was much larger than expected, and my partner's cheese souffle was exceptional. My fish pie main was delicious - with several variety of seafood. Though it was at a £5 supplement. My partner's orange chilli pasta, while very tasty, was a bit of a let-down. Compared to the other plates, it seemed lacking. But again, was still very tasty. The pudding was exceptional - one of the best sticky toffee puddings either of us have ever had. It's an "easy" pudding, but it's not easy to make it exceptional. Overall, we were very pleased. Service was great - if a bit slow (but very friendly), and overall a very welcoming, comfortable experience. We would certainly return again.
