About the restaurant
Café Momentum is not a normal restaurant. Café Momentum is a non-profit restaurant that offers a locally sourced, chef-driven menu and serves as a culinary training facility for young people impacted by the juvenile justice system.

Café Momentum’s program teaches critical skills that allow youth to re-enter society in a safe, real-world environment of nurturing accountability. By participating in our program, the youth rotate through every aspect of the restaurant, from waiting tables to washing dishes, while working side-by-side with Chef Peter Henry.

Don't miss our famous smoked fried chicken served with mashed potatoes, ham hock collard greens, buttermilk biscuit, and black pepper gravy.

We are BYOB! $5/person corkage fee.

Spork is a seasonally ingredient driven restaurant. Our menus food, beer, wine and cocktails are developed and implemented, first and foremost, by what we are able to source at its peak. As a restaurant that prides itself on scratch preparation, taken to the extreme, we understand how reliant we are on the local farms, butchers, seafood houses and a few select distributors that we partner with to execute our vision. Our team includes a farmer, a published author, a baker, and a sommelier, in addition to the usual array of chefs, bartenders and service staff. To turn out our menus, we have on-premises, programs to: Bake all of our own breads (including in-house grain milling) - Extensively ferment and pickle vegetables - Grow and harvest a large percentage of our produce - Hand craft a full line of pastas - Smoke meats, vegetables - Produce a full range of pastries, ice creams and plated desserts.

This place was amazing from the moment you walk in. It honestly feels like they are working to be a Michelin star restaurant. The attention to detail was amazing as well as the food. I loved the Koji ToFu and my boyfriend had the koji chicken. Honestly so impressed, 10/10!

The menu has approachable things, as well as some really special options that you won’t find many —or even any other —places. So many gluten-free choices if that’s a concern. Also very accommodating about putting this or that on the side.

At Fig & Ash, we provide seasonal sustainable comfort dishes, in a warm rustic setting. Fig & Ash offers a new take on old favorites and new adventures that will become favorites.

We allot one hour and forty-five minutes for each party of two and two hours and fifteen minutes for each party of four. Please keep this in consideration when dining with us to ensure a great experience for everyone. We can accommodate up to a party of five in our Main Dining Room. Visited Fig and Ash for the first time prior to a concert and wow are we glad we found this gem. The service was attentive, but not annoying. It felt casual enough that we didn't feel out of place in our concert gear (band t-shirts) but upscale enough to feel like we were going to experience something special. The drinks were perfectly balanced and delicious. Highly recommend the Thai Fighter and The Passion of the Spice. The food was phenomenal and came out quickly. We loved the Lamb Tartare and the Cauliflower small plates, but the star of the show was the Short Rib and Pork Belly Meatloaf. Ever element of the dish was so well executed and we finished every bite. Can't wait to visit again and experience everything Fig and Ash has to offer.

It was an amazing experience, the bartender is amazing. The food was amazing. I have no complaints. The Chef came out to make sure we enjoyed our meal and we both had the Seabass great job.

The Kaufmann. Tavern in Zeleinople was the perfect meeting place between Pittsburgh and Mercer for a family dinner. We really enjoyed the historic ambience of the interior. Our meals were very enjoyable -- Crabcakes, Shrimp & Grits, Wild Mushroom Linguine and Scallops. Our server was very pleasant and paced the service of our order well. We will definitely be going back!

Such an amazing experience! Our server, Michelle, Chef Jeremy, and Patrick all went above and beyond to make our night so special and such a wonderful place to celebrate our birthdays. We will most definitely be back. Everyone there, the cuisine, and ambiance was spectacular. Bravo!
