Centered in the heart of Los Angeles, the historic building in which it resides was originally erected in 1929 by Charlie Chaplin, and later transformed into the iconic La Brea Bakery and Campanile Restaurant. Easily the best Italian restaurant in LA—no question. As someone from the NYC area, my standards for Italian food are high, but this place absolutely delivered a one of a kind experience. One of my favorite pizzas in LA! It was my first time in the patio and I loved it. The noise level was better than being inside. If you go with children definitely seating outside in the summer is a great option!

From the moment we walked in, the ambience set the tone for a great night. It’s a small, intimate venue with a really nice vibe that made us feel welcome right away. We came with a group of six, which gave us the chance to try a variety of dishes—and everything we ordered was outstanding. The sushi was top-tier, with incredibly fresh fish and amazing quality. The crab cheese dip was absolutely next level—one of the best I’ve ever had. We also shared the steak and the red snapper, both of which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Even the Caesar salad stood out—it was fresh and delicious. The oysters were super fresh, and the chicken sandwich was a big hit too—the chicken was so juicy and flavorful. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and paid great attention to detail, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, this place is definitely a hidden gem, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food, a nice atmosphere, and top-notch service. I can’t wait to go back!

Went for our birthday! It was an amazing experience. They did squish us in a corner table with little space and I wasn’t a fan of all the upsells (tea, steak vs duck, alchohol or non spirits, but overall it was a great tasting birthday dining experience at a slightly affordable price compared to some of the other 300+ tasting menus per person
