Marino Ristorante is deeply rooted in Hollywood since the late 1950’s when Ciro (Mario to friends) Marino landed in Hollywood and has ever since had generations of who’s who in the movie, record, art, political and business LA community at his tables. Today it is still family owned and given its warm welcome flavor by the second generation of Marinos, Mario in the dining room and brother Sal in the kitchen.

The decor is modern and comfortable with memorabilia from a 60 year career which all come together to create its appeal. Described by many marrying the quintessential NY Italian in Los Angeles for its history coupled with today’s seasonal menu, highlighting the best locally sourced ingredients and top notch freshest seafood available.

This restaurant is fantastic. Got seated immediately upon arrival at reservation time. Lovely, extremely informative waitress. Never hurried us or seemed in a rush. Began with focaccia with their duck pate; should not be missed as it was sensational. Accompanied beautifully with the stone fruit salad. Pastas were wonderful. Corn and chanterelles and squab pastas. Fantastic. Shared the sweetbreads and had the whipped potatoes with bone marrow. Had to take the cannolis we ordered for dessert home as we were so full we couldn’t finish. Even the bus people were so nice. We go out a lot and have to say that this was a very special place. May be expensive but worth every penny.

Perfection. The only word to describe the meals, the ambiance, the service, and most importantly, Chef Barbara!!!! Very few restaurants in Los Angeles capture the heart and soul of Italian cuisine and one of those spots is Da Barbara. Watching her work her magic and witnessing how she puts her love into her cooking was so wonderful. She’s who I think of when customers want to observe passionate chefs working in an open kitchen. You cannot go wrong with whatever you choose to indulge in, from her antipasti’s to her main dishes, and you MUST order her fresh house-made ricotta!! 10/10 experience and cannot wait to come back with friends and family.

Heralded as a "meat speakeasy" by Food & Wine Magazine, chi SPACCA has come to represent the quintessential new Italian dining experience, where accompaniments like the Foccacia di Recco, warm salted Medjool dates, and Culatello & Puglia burrata are just sideshows for the rest of Chef Armen Ayvazyan's wood-fired menu which features a 42-ounce Tomahawk pork chop, a 36-ounce dry-aged bone-in New York Costata alla Fiorentina, and a 50-ounce dry-aged porterhouse Bistecca Fiorentina.

Enchanted by the artistry of Italian salumi culture, we built the first “dry cure” program in Los Angeles so that we could experiment and perfect Italian charcuterie techniques in house.

Love Bacari. So much to choose from. We ordered the fried chicken sliders, Mediterranean corn, Mac and cheese, Shawarma tacos, and cauliflower. The Cauliflower was the best! And the Mac and cheese was “mid” according to my daughter. It needed more umph. Kinda bland in relation to the other flavors. Overall, we loved it.

Love the service and the food! Very special place with quality people who run it. We sat at the bar and felt like a regular even though it was our first time with the very friendly and personable staff making us feel welcome. The ambiance was very white table cloth meets mamma’s kitchen and we couldn’t have been happier to find this place. We left earlier than we wanted to (Hollywood bowl tickets) but we will definitely be back. Top to bottom the staff was amazing.
