One of the best restaurants, hands down in Orange County! The potted potatoes with the billionaire bacon are the best potatoes we have ever had. Order extra to take home! My only gripe is that they don’t keep their menu current on their website. Come on guys! 😁

Built in 1927, Fig313 stands today as an original historical landmark of San Clemente, with a history that is meant to be shared with its seaside community. Carefully constructed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, distinctive design features include red-tile roofs, white stucco walls, hand-crafted windows and arches, painted tiles, and open-air courtyards.

Originally owned for the first 33 years by John and Jeanette Riley, 313 El Camino Real was renowned as Riley’s Waffle and Coffee Shop. Legend has it that actor John Wayne frequented the restaurant for a hearty American breakfast along with many travelers from all over the world. From 1960 on, Riley’s Café would change ownership many times, evolving into a furniture store, French restaurant, tequila company, and catering business. In 2012, the current owners purchased the property and began renovations and restoration, while staying true to the integrity of the original style.

The food was fantastic! Loved the skillet cornbread! Not usually a chicken lover but the Mary’s half chicken was really delicious. Sadly, the service was really lacking. We got seated before 5pm and were hoping for HH pricing. After about 20 minutes and after 5pm, our server showed up. We told him how disappointed we were to miss HH and promised to grant us the HH prices. However, when we got the bill, it wasn’t granted. Overall, I didn’t feel like he was super attentive.

We came after our son’s graduation this night and celebrated had a dozen oysters and the deviled eggs for appetizers. Both were delicious! For entrees we had the lobster avocado salad, miso salmon and the lamb chops. Each dish was prepared perfectly and tasted great. We also enjoyed mocktails, mellow yellow and the lavender one.
