Honoring Chef Miki Izumisawa, the female, award-winning sushi artist, originally trained by the one and only Nobu Matsuhisa. Miki was inspired by nature to create unique nigiri, cut rolls and hand rolls that blur the line between art and fusion sushi. Miki's recipes transform elements of the natural world with names such as Lava Flow, Moon and Sun, Feather in the Sky, and Prairie. Before her passing, Miki carefully coached outstanding female-only sushi chefs to execute her masterpieces. Her legacy continues in this romantic styled coastal, intimate sushi bar and cozy 18 window seats with views of Laguna's main beach. Owners Chris Olsen and Greg Washer are longtime locals who appreciate what Miki did for this community with an outstanding Japanese experience pushing the boundaries of tradition. Miki Sushi & Sake is and will always be one of my happy places. The food in presentation and taste is always superb. Love that they are breaking out a few from the secret menu ... continuing the tradition.

Da Bianca is our local go to for Italian. They have a variety of pastas in a comfortable setting. The waiters are always attentive and they have so many delicious pastas that’s it’s hard to choose just one. We started with the beef carpaccio and they served their hot garlic bread with it. For dinner we had the pasta rigatoni with sausage, pasta carbonara, and the ravioli. All three plates were delicious! We will be back as this is a family favorite!

Excellent experience again! My wife and I went for my birthday dinner last night. Started with oysters on the half shell - clean, cold and yummy! We then both had the seared blue fin tuna entree special and it was fantastic! Melt in your mouth perfection served over pearl couscous with al dente veggies. Adam was our server and he is on top of everything. Super knowledgeable and very attentive even while working what seemed like a significant table load. In addition, he comped us the oatmeal raisin cookie crumble for my birthday and brought it out with a candle on top. We always feel like we get VIP treatment at Vine. Highly recommend!
