Restaurante Catedral brings local, regional and international dishes together to offer a truly unique menu. Start your day off with a breakfast of Teotitlan Del Valle Style eggs or the Socorrido, which is a pork rind casserole with sausage, egg and cheese served in a red sauce with Water Chiles stripes. Our best meal in Huatulco. The view is great, the food is sophisticated but approachable and great cocktails. They were able to accommodate my partner’s allergies. The burrada dish was a highlight. Amazing live music, too. Omar was a terrific server. 7 drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 mains and a dessert for around $150 Canadian. We will be back.

About the restaurant

Marvelous place in city centro. Roof terrazza is wonderful with a view of the church. Food was outstanding. It rained but the covered portion was completely dry. Highly recommended! A place not to be missed.

About the restaurant
An exceptional culinary experience by a Chef-Sommelier couple, Luis Pabón & Gaby Moreno featuring seasonal dishes and natural wine.
The seven-courses tasting menu emphasizes local, seasonal ingredients and a masterful natural wine pairing (with local beer and mezcal thrown in).
Prepare for a memorable meal in a beautiful space that is open to the surrounding tropical forest and sky.

4-courses tasting menu and A la carte is also available.

About the restaurant
Tierra del Sol is a restaurant that takes its name from the Mixtec song, a melody that has become an Oaxacan hymn.
Just like that nostalgic song, this place celebrates in its own way the culture of an exceptional people: the Mixtec or ñuu savi; the first does it with her poetry and the second with her food.
Our chef: Olga Cabrera, cook, is the architect of such gastronomic praise, and she achieves it from the knowledge and respect for an ancient cuisine that she inherited from the women of her family and her community, Huajuapan – in the heart of the Mixteca region of Oaxaca -, a knowledge that seasons with his special passion for traditional dishes.

Fantastic. Same chef as the one in El Centro but much easier to get last minute reservation. Menu is slightly different than the other one, but everything was five stars all the way. Amazing service and food. I must try if you can’t get into the other one.

Restaurant was very good—excellent food and presentation. Lovely views from the top deck. Staff very attentive and helpful. Service was prompt and polite. Only drawback was being seated next to a large and loud mezcal tasting party, but the staff did give us a different table on request. One note: many steep flights of stairs(like all over Oaxaca), a challenge for older or less agile customers.

Great restaurant...many steps to reach the rooftop dining area, but worth it for the view and the coolness of the evening. BUT...if you can't climb a circular staircase and many stairs, select a different restaurant.Very loud music came from a neighborhood bar, but it is in the middle of a loud city, so it was to be expected. Food is great! Staff is very nice, service is slow, but the food is worth the wait.
