Recently, my wife and I had a “lunner” (late light lunch or early dinner, as you prefer...) at Wink and were swept off our feet by the warm reception and attentive service despite the odd time of day. For us, "Lunnering” also meant sharing a dip of creamer pea hummus with chili oil and zatar, forfeited the wine list and chose the same halibut piccata with braised leeks and sorrel for a main course. Simply delicious. We closed with a flavorful “El Rey” flourless cake and a silent pledge to be back soon to dig deeper into the menu and the wine list. Kudos!

Jeffrey's Restaurant & Bar has been an Austin fine dining institution since 1975. In 2012 the restaurant closed for a major renovation and was reopened by McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality. The legendary restaurant, nestled in the Clarksville neighborhood just west of downtown, features a lively bar and three distinct dining rooms. The menus, from executive chef Mark McCain, features dry-aged prime steaks, updated classic fine dining, and locally sourced produce. The award-winning wine list, one of the largest and most diverse in Texas, features highly-sought after vintages from Old and New World producers. Private dining in the Napoleon Room and The Apartment is available for special events. Valet service is offered.

The charming neighborhood location, old world service & multiple private dining options make Jeffrey's a true Austin gem. Jeffrey's was named “Top 10 Best New Restaurants” in the country by Bon Appetit magazine in 2013.

Had a business lunch today. Kerry and Jr were very attentive without being intrusive on our meeting. Food was excellent and moderately priced for lunch. I would absolutely recommend Flemings in The Domain for lunch and/or business meetings.

Great service. Tasty food. Great value. I called in advance and let them know it was our anniversary. They gave us a corner booth with rose petals and an anniversary card. Nice touch, my wife was impressed

At Bob’s you are treated like family. When you arrive at your table, the famous pickles come standard and a fresh, hot loaf of bread is delivered almost immediately for you to enjoy while you order your drinks and your meal.
Known for our filets, Bob’s only serves prime cuts of beef. They have more marbling and flavor than the choice filets most other steak houses serve. Bob’s dinners have always included their iconic, larger than life, glazed carrot and your choice of potato. It’s a tradition and a great value they are proud to offer our guests. One carrot with one prime steak at a time totaling, about three tons of carrots each week. It may seem silly for a world-class steak house to tout its glazed carrot, but once you’ve tried it, you’ll understand.

We consider sleeveless shirts on men, flip flops, boldly logoed athletic attire/gym attire, beach/pool wear too casual. We also ask that ball caps be removed while in the restaurant. Business casual ok.

Our "go to" anniversary dinner location. The service is amazing. Our server was outstanding. The food was delicious! We split the brownie and ice cream dessert and said that we'll skip the dessert next year. I'm pretty sure we said the same thing a year ago! Bob's is too good to only do anniversaries. We should include birthdays too!!!
