Jeffrey's Restaurant & Bar has been an Austin fine dining institution since 1975. In 2012 the restaurant closed for a major renovation and was reopened by McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality. The legendary restaurant, nestled in the Clarksville neighborhood just west of downtown, features a lively bar and three distinct dining rooms. The menus, from executive chef Mark McCain, features dry-aged prime steaks, updated classic fine dining, and locally sourced produce. The award-winning wine list, one of the largest and most diverse in Texas, features highly-sought after vintages from Old and New World producers. Private dining in the Napoleon Room and The Apartment is available for special events. Valet service is offered.

The charming neighborhood location, old world service & multiple private dining options make Jeffrey's a true Austin gem. Jeffrey's was named “Top 10 Best New Restaurants” in the country by Bon Appetit magazine in 2013.

My husband and I had not been to Jeffery’s in many years so decided on it for our date night. First, if you want to eat at Jeffery’s (between 6-830pm) you’ll need to make a reservation several weeks in advance. I don’t know if it’s that popular or if they hold tables back for walk-ins. The service was great, attentive but not overly bothersome. However, very single person who approached our table (probably 4 different people) spoke so quietly that I could barely hear what they were saying. There is music but it’s a perfect level; I just think the staff is very soft spoken. The food was delicious; every single thing we ate was amazing. We shared the deviled eggs, Ceasar salad, hamachi, ribeye, pomme puree, and the basked Alaska. I would have gotten the chocolate soufflé but I wasn’t aware of it until it was too late (in the evening). The basked Alaska was our least favorite item but every other item was just perfect. The pomme puree was probably the best potato I’ve ever eaten!!! We would love to go to Jeffery’s weekly but it’s SO expensive. Plan on a dinner for two bring $300-400 plus gratuity. We will save Jeffery’s for special occasions only.

Lonesome Dove Western Bistro Austin is Chef Tim Love’s second location for his flagship restaurant. Open since 2015 it has become the go to place in Austin for wild game and creative dishes.

In order to serve all our guests in a timely manner, we ask that you arrive on time. A 15 minute grace period will be given to all tables. Unfortunately we are unable to seat partial parties.

Great place. First time, but it won't be our last. We were seated upon arrival. We really enjoyed the food and the service was top notch. Stan made us feel like VIPs with his smooth and timely pours (delicious) and attention to detail. Besides our laughter and catching up, the place was quiet and relaxing on the weekday we went. Perfect! Already looking forward to next time.

We’ve been here a few times. Menu has always been on the smallish side but today was very limited. Apps were great. Entrees were mediocre. Sommelier and service are on point in a relaxed, comfortable space. Happy hour 4-6 is worth leaving work early.

none of us liked our dinner. Pumpkin ravioli had too much cinnamon & two of us ordered the braised ribs were so salty, pretty inedible. My friend didn’t eat it at all, had I not been famished from my travels & empty stomach, I would gave stopped after one bite.
