About the restaurant
WELCOME TO THE SAZAN RAMEN!

“The skill behind ramen is a practiced art and I wanted the interiors to reflect the craft that goes into the creation of a perfect bowl. The aesthetic of the space takes Japanese modern interiors with a nod to Scandinavian hygge and French architecture to create an inviting space. An aside cocktail bar gives the space intimacy and a comfortable area for diners to relax before being seated.”

I highly recommend the steak night experience so that you can skip the wait, sample as many items as possible (even those that sell out), have a reserved table, and hear the history behind the restaurant. The BBQ was amazing. I am not a huge steak person and like my meat medium well, so I could have skipped the steak itself, but like I said, it's worth every penny to have the perks of the experience. Our waiter was also amazing, very knowledgeable, and hospitable. The pit tour was also great. The guide answered all our questions and to hear the vision and history behind the restaurant was very insightful. Mr. Evan Leroy himself actually cut our steak for us, which was a cool gesture and part of the experience.

Excellent food. We really enjoyed everything-the Lomo Saltado, Leche de Tigre, fried Yuca and the Suspiro de Limeña dessert. Super friendly service and an attractive place. The only downside is that there are only a few tables inside, so if the weather is poor that could be a problem.

Italian
East Austin
About the restaurant
Just as in Italy where the food is genuine and locally sourced, you'll find the same at Intero with farm-to-table Italian cuisine. At its core, the concept behind Italian cooking stems from necessity and gratitude for regionally available ingredients. Intero, translating to “whole’’ in Italian, embraces this concept utilizing local ingredients from their entirety, paired with traditional Italian techniques and cooking sensibilities. This naturally sustainable approach allows for innovative, yet familiar dishes that highlight the seasonal availability of what’s grown and raised in Texas.

Additionally, Intero provides an authentic nod to the sweet side of Italy offering specialty house-made artisan chocolates (including truffles, barks, and sipping chocolate) along with other traditional Italian desserts in classic, seasonal and unique flavors.

Enjoy various Amari, select wines and craft cocktails indoors or out, set in Intero's modern casual atmosphere.

Fantastic dining experience. The sourdough focaccacia with whipped ricotra, the waygu ribeye steak, and chocolates were the favorites! Everything was great and all plates were empty, along with the great bottle of wine recommended by Riley, our server. And shout out to perfect service and timing. Just a glorious evening.

Breakfast
Downtown
About the restaurant
Hello there!

Forthright is a cafe with a leafy patio just south of Cesar Chavez and Brazos; between The Line hotel and the Four Seasons hotel: a quiet cul-de-sac by Ladybird Lake where the street ends. We offer surface parking on the east and west side of the building on a first come first serve basis.

We make honest food from scratch, prepared well, using quality ingredients. In the morning we pour locally sourced Tiny House roasters coffee, we also offer a full-bar with drink specials to kick off your brunch! Enjoy avocado toast with poached eggs, the best French Toast you have ever experienced, or pastrami hash and chicken and waffles for brunch. We are here to serve all of your brunch needs.

Tall windows, natural light, a comfortable patio, plenty of shade... a place for a small brunch with friends or a celebration. We’re from here, we felt like downtown Austin deserved something ‘easy’ again.
