Using only the highest quality ingredients, Bin 54 elevates classic steakhouse dishes to a new level of refinement. A fabulous restaurant! Food was superb and cooked perfectly. And many sides to accompany the meal. Great wine selection. Wait staff were attentive, but not rushing diners. Highly recommend this.

Our menu is complemented by a beverage program featuring an extensive wine list, a full cocktail bar, and beers celebrating North Carolina breweries.

Any Allergies and Food Preferences are to be provided in advance. If not provided, not all requests can be accommodated.

Jackets are requested but not required. We ask that gentlemen remove hats for dinner service.

We were seated right away and water and bread came quickly. Eric thought that all 5 courses were delicious. I loved the seafood courses but thought the beef ragout was too salty. I thought the staff worked seamlessly together to provide excellent service. The wine was delicious too.

Metro 8 was fantastic! The atmosphere is upscale but not stuffy. The staff are friendly and professional. The owner even came by to check on our table. You can tell they care about every detail. We had several appetizers - Chorizo, spinach dip, empanadas and provoleta. Delicious! I had the filet mignon au poivre for dinner. Tender, and perfectly cooked. Cocktails were great, and they have a solid wine list. They even have a party room for special occasions. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish. You have to try the Tiramisu. Tastes like your Nonna made it. We’ll definitely be back!

Partners Matt Kelly and Josh “Skinny” DeCarolis are proud to offer Mothers & Sons, a trattoria in downtown Durham featuring regional Italian food with seasonal sensibility. DeCarolis introduces the first restaurant in the South to focus on fatta a mano —handmade pasta.
Mothers and Sons offers antipasti dishes such seasonal bruschettas or smoked octopus. Choose from primi dishes like the bucatini al amatriciana, squid ink tonnarelli or rigatoni alla norma and secondi dishes like the bistecca alla floretina and eggplant parmigiana. Dishes are made with seasonal ingredients so menus may change depending on when you visit. We had an incredible server who knew the menu by heart and suggested certain wines with certain dishes. Our food was delicious! We had a truly wonderful experience!
