This time our meal was much better. Once the waitress got to our table, which took a little longer then it should have, she was very attentive after that. We knew what to order this time and wasn't disappointed like last time. Maybe the chef had a bad day but our last experience was horrible.

The minute you walk into Poseidon, you’ll be swept by the fabulous view. You couldn’t be closer to the sand and the beach than sitting at Poseidon on their beautiful outdoor patio. With such a spectacular ocean view, you’ll experience breathtaking sunsets and during the right season even catch a glimpse of the whales migrating up or down the coast. The bar offers a large circular firepit, which is nice on those chilly fall or winter nights. Off to the side of the bar is a split level dining room offering every table a panoramic view of the beach and the ocean. For decades, Poseidon has delighted both local San Diegans and the tourists that love the beach.

Our hostess and server (Michael) were both wonderful. Brought an out of town guest and he now wants to move to SD... who doesn't? Turkey sandwich with freshly made chips is my go-to favorite. Glad to see it on the menu.

I met up with my daughter and son in law and a couple friends. We had been at Urbana in Anaheim recently Since we loved it I thought we would try this one. We were thrilled here too! Great service, food, drinks and ambience. I love the Filet Mignonette Tacos The vegetarian options were perfect for my daughter. Can’t wait for next time to try the Lobster Tacos!

Service was very good and well informed on menu selection. The seats in the booth were comfortable and the view of sunset over the pacific was superb. I suppose it happens every clear night if you work there. Food was very good and portions more than enough, even for a gourmand like me.
