Located in a historic townhome in the heart of Philadelphia, Vetri Cucina is a unique space that invites guests to become part of our family. The intimate dining rooms evoke the charms of Italy with custom crafted features including hand-blown Murano glass chandeliers, Richard Ginori porcelain and Venetian glassware.
Showcasing the constantly evolving, dynamic creativity of Chef Vetri and his team, Vetri Cucina serves a classic tasting menu at $165pp using the highest quality local and specialty ingredients. The menu is inspired by both classic Italian recipes and our extensive culinary research across the globe. Vetri Cucina also offers a seasonal Forchetta menu which is a premium tasting menu experience at $215pp. These are the restaurant’s sole dining options, designed to provide each guest with a memorable, unparalleled experience. Reservations are released on the first of the month for the following month: ie. On October 1st, reservations are released for the month of November.

Amazing service. I was traveling alone so my reservation was for one, and it was perfect. Kate and the staff were very accommodating.

The Story of Josephine’s
The story of Josephine’s begins during our executive chef Daniel LeBoon’s childhood. At eight years old, working for his father’s catering company, Daniel discovered a passion for food. This love — and undeniable talent — saw him intern at Philadelphia’s prestigious Le Bec-Fin. He went on to work in Paris at the venerable Hotel Vernet working under the renowned chef’s Alain Solvere and Alain Ducasse. In 2004, Daniel purchased Josephine’s in Marietta and developed an extremely loyal following based on the combination of great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality. Although Josephine’s closed in 2011, the name and the experiences are fondly remembered by countless people.

Josephine's is a great place for a special occasion. It's a bit pricey, but no unreasonably so, the atmosphere definitely lends itself to special occasions. Highly recommend!

Wonderful ambiance. Excellent food. Service was a bit slow. One of our dinners was supposedly dropped on the floor coming out of the oven causing all our meals to be delivered late.

We came to celebrate a well deserved retirement. We wanted a place that was special. JG did not let us down. We were fortunate to arrive on an unexpectedly slow night and the service and attention we received were first class! Thank you , Rosie, for going out of your way to make this special occasion even better than we had hoped. The views from our east-facing table at sunset were only surpassed by the exceptional food presentations. The only minor hiccup was our inability to have one person order “5th year anniversary tasting” while the other ordered a la cart. We quickly pivoted, without a problem, and both enjoy our a la cart meals, which, in hindsight, were likely better suited to our individual tastes. Truly an exceptional experience!

I mean...I know it's about the experience, but the price you pay to eat at this place - and cook your own food - is crazy, in my mind. The food is tasty...the experience is cool...but there is zero value here. Duck, tune, steak, etc. should be cooked a certain way to be truly enjoyed. Boiling is not really an option, in my mind. I didn't even bother cooking the tuna. The duck and steak, 30 seconds. The only thing I was concerned about was the chiken...everything else, I attempt to at least preserve the potential of the protein.

Beautiful evening, fantastic food, very busy, but waitstaff did their best to keep up, bar service was a bit slow, but the food was worth it all. Can’t wait to come back before snow……
