Don’s Favorite Foods is a prix-fixe restaurant created by husband and wife team Chef Don Salamone and Kate Laurents in partnership with Sommelier Adam Galbraith.

Our menu changes monthly and highlights dishes Don grew up with as well as those he mastered though working at Michelin-starred restaurants across the country.

From Don: You may find gnocchi like my Ma used to make or Italian sausage modeled after my Godfather’s, Oreste “Ernie” Capone. You might find scallops still in their shells, Oregon pork in the style of Braciole, & popovers I learned to make from my mother-in-law, Terry, because she makes those every Christmas morning... beef tartare, sea urchin, caviar, etc too. These things are all my favorites.

The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was wonderful from the moment we opened the door. The food was delicious. We enjoyed each course—from the popovers, peas, pastas, to the granitas and dessert. The strawberry cake was the best cake my wife has ever had 😀! We enjoyed the 70s decor and music as it transported us back to fond memories of more peaceful times. We don’t dine out often, but what makes Don’s standout is culinary skill and attention to detail combined with passion to make each customer feel special. We are grateful to Don’s for making our wedding anniversary an Ichi-go ichi-e experience! 😀❤️🙏

I really enjoyed the artichoke arugula salad and seafood pasta. Everything was very fresh, the house made squid ink pasta with seafood was perfectly cooked. The panna cotta was light dessert to round out the meal. Staff was great and will definitely eat here again in future trips!

This is our "go to" restaurant in Eugene! Them Caesar salad is this best.The Papppardelle pork short rib ragu was delicious and the sea bass Branzino was even better. We topped off our evening with the chef's special Pistachio Tiramisu which was divine! Great service and a very comfortable and cozy atmosphere.

Monday music bingo was super fun! Easy to reserve a table beforehand and free to participate. Service was slow because it was busy, but very friendly staff!

This was my second time at the tea room. I bought my niece for a birthday treat for her. Initially we were seated at a table right under fan but where kindly relocated to a warmer space. It was an enjoyable experience.

The romantic ambience for our wedding anniversary celebration was nice, and we also appreciated that we didn't have to dress up to attend. The staff were kind, professional and friendly. It did take a while to get our entrees, but the appetizers were quickly delivered. Dessert is a separate menu that comes out later unless requested sooner. Portion sizes were reasonable for an upscale dining experience. The food was delicious and creative; we are thankful to have a restaurant like this nearby!

Fort George opened its doors to Astoria as both a brewery and a public house, and that desire to serve the community continues to this day. The brewers and pub staff here share a common goal, to create a welcoming space where anyone in town can pull up a stool and enjoy a pint and a bite to eat. We take pride in our house-made offerings and our hospitality, and we’re always looking for improvements that bring us one step closer to perfection. It’s a goal Sisyphus could appreciate, even if he doesn’t have as much fun pushing that rock as we do rolling those kegs.
