Don’s Favorite Foods is a prix-fixe restaurant created by husband and wife team Chef Don Salamone and Kate Laurents in partnership with Sommelier Adam Galbraith.

Our menu changes monthly and highlights dishes Don grew up with as well as those he mastered though working at Michelin-starred restaurants across the country.

From Don: You may find gnocchi like my Ma used to make or Italian sausage modeled after my Godfather’s, Oreste “Ernie” Capone. You might find scallops still in their shells, Oregon pork in the style of Braciole, & popovers I learned to make from my mother-in-law, Terry, because she makes those every Christmas morning... beef tartare, sea urchin, caviar, etc too. These things are all my favorites.

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Southern Oregon. The food is excellent, service stellar, and amazing atmosphere. We come every year for our anniversary. Definitely a special treat every time

Open Table Reservations are for the Upstairs Pizzeria where our pizza menu is available.
Our downstairs space is separate and is first-come, first-served. Our pub menu is available downstairs only.

Fort George opened its doors to Astoria as both a brewery and a public house, and that desire to serve the community continues to this day. The brewers and pub staff here share a common goal, to create a welcoming space where anyone in town can pull up a stool and enjoy a pint and a bite to eat. We take pride in our house-made offerings and our hospitality, and we’re always looking for improvements that bring us one step closer to perfection. It’s a goal Sisyphus could appreciate, even if he doesn’t have as much fun pushing that rock as we do rolling those kegs. And that’s why we like to call Fort George beer the best beer you’ve had today. Tomorrow it will only be better.

A very enjoyable dinner. Sushi Kuni must have hired a new manager because I noticed many new lovely details such as a printed new menus with photos, craft cocktail menu, and more wines available by the glass. During Happy Hour, their entire page of classic sushi rolls is buy one get one half off. Server was quickly responsive when the bell was rung. Of course the sushi quality is the best in the area. Overall, I feel like they leveled up their dining experience.

The food is always delicious, especially the fried chicken and roasted cauliflower. Oh, and do not forget one of the two, hummus with fresh hot pita bread. Will be back next week!

Our waiter Tim, went out of his way to help us with not only seating, as one of us is blind, but help with the menu and recommendations.. His service was prefect, not overbearing but always there at the appropriate time. I would highly recommend Salute, for their delicious creative food, drinks, and comfy atmosphere.
