   We recently had a very unimpressive dining experience at the Ruth’s Chris Restaurant. We’ve been there for special occasions many times over the years. This was our first visit since it was purchased by Olive Garden. While outwardly similar to the former restaurant, changes have been made that someone not familiar with the previous restaurant or fine dining might not notice or expect from a $600.00 dinner for two. The quality has gone down. The nuances that made Ruth’s Chris are lacking. First there are now plastic menus. Single card, printed on both sides laminated menus like you would hand to people with sticky fingers instead of the elegant leather looking folders with printed paper sheets found previously. There is a reduced offering of items. Maybe their Tshirt wearing clientele no longer know what bernaise sauce or Roquefort dressing is. The service was nice, friendly and fast - very good by Olive Garden standards but not of exceptional quality. Presentation was lacking and definitely not up to the $190.00 bottle of wine ordered. When you are having a bottle of fine wine you expect the bottle to be presented, decanting offered and at the very least crystal glasses as Ruth’s Chris used to do. You expect to taste a sample to approve the wine and to be given the cork to examine. You expect at least a first level of sommelier expertise. Our wine was opened and placed on the table and this was only done because we had to explain that we wanted it to have time to breathe, not because we wanted to immediately start drinking it before we’d finished our cocktails. Some of the lettuce in my salad seemed a little brown/oxidized and it was served in a bowl instead of on a chilled salad plate with a cold fork. The fillets were good but not up to Ruth’s Chris former standards. They were the same in diameter but not as thick. We were not offered a dessert menu or a list of after dinner liqueurs. The restaurant has gone from fine dining to just a steakhouse with table cloths,

   Diane, our server, was the best. She is one of the reasons we go back. She is so kind. Attentive. Sweet. Has such a great personality. Really takes care of the customers. The food is also AMAZING and the other staff and managers are so professional and make sure the customer is taken care of. Would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. This is our is favorite restaurant.

   We were a table of four. The table we had was too small for four people especially once the food arrived. Ruth's Chris is looked upon as a "special" place to have dinner. The tight table took away that "special" feel.

   Our server was Derek and he was absolutely phenomenal! He provided us excellent recommendations for our drinks, appetizers, main, and sides! The food was delicious and we felt that the drinks were perfect. We enjoyed every item that we ordered and it ended wonderfully with a fantastic bread pudding to celebrate our anniversary. We will definitely come back and of course request Derek!

    Felt welcomed as soon as we arrived . Our waiter Jordan made our 1st time one to remember . He was so attentive, he truly made my family & i feel well taken care of . The food was amazing. We will for sure be back. ( Do not pass up on the lemondrop!)

    Food was awesome. My steak was med will done and really soft. The cheese cake was delicious as well as the chocolate raspberry cake. Well definitely recommend to others and will be returning to the place.

     The food was fabulous like all always, but though the service is getting a little low, he used to have outstanding service they used to just make you feel so special, so the money you’re spending was well worth it but our server yesterday talked us into a dessert that was not on the menu and the dessert when we got it home it was tainted it was brown it was old that’s probably why they didn’t have it on the menu, but she served it to us anyway anyway I was just awful. We have never experienced anything like that there.

    I brought my son here to celebrate his upcoming graduation! They treated him as a dignitary. They rolled out the red carpet for him. He finished dinner off with a nice dessert and all smiles. The food was GREAT!!!! You can never go wrong with the steak, garlic mash and asparagus.

    Took my wife for Mother’s Day. She was excited to go and we were not disappointed. It was a little on the expensive side but well worth it, all of it. My son is twelve and he did come along (I wouldn’t suggest taking anyone like him). My wife and I will return for special occasions.

    Went for Mother’s Day brunch and they had special pairings for the day along with full menu. Food was delicious and service was quick and so friendly. My mom received a rose after her lunch and left feeling special which was our goal and dining at Ruth’s Chris was a big part of that.

    For a steak house, the steak was the worst part of the meal. We asked for medium and it came out raw-waitress said it was rare but it was raw. Send it back-the pieces we cut were brown and over cooked and the large uncut piece was still rare in the middle. The finally offered another steak but it had to be to go since the rest of the family, who didn’t order steak, were finished and ready to go. I can cook steak better on my barbecue. And the steakhouse has two tries.

    If you are looking for a great steak dinner then Ruth's Chris is your place to go. Excellent steaks served on a hot plate. Excellent staff all the way around will make you feel welcome and comfortable. Our go-to place for special occasions.

    We are frequent patrons at this restaurant. I made a reservation on this site. I requested a booth and mentioned that it was my husband’s birthday. When we arrived, promptly for our reservation, we were told there would be a wait for a booth but there were tables available. I requested a table by any window but NOT TO BE SEATED IN THE MIDDLE of the dining room. The manager said that he could accommodate a table next to the window for us. We were led to a very small table for two on the end of the middle section. The next table was about three feet away. I heard every word of their conversation so I’m sure they heard every word of ours. When we were brought to this table, there were several tables set for four next to the windows, and within minutes of being seated, several booths opened up. I considered asking for a table near the windows that were available, but because they were set up for four, I didn’t want to take up space for other people who had reservations for four. Within minutes, all those tables were filled with parties of two. Though the check in was horrible and not anything like our previous receptions there, the wait staff was exemplary. They were so attentive and personable. When we were seated we were only given the regular menu. When I mentioned to our waitress, Maryal, that it appeared that the price fixe menu was no longer available, she said it was still available but it was on a different menu that was never given to us when we were seated. She and her assistant wait staff were fantastic and made up for the disappointing reception and salvaged the evening.

    This is a 1st time hasn't been perfect. Cesar Salad lettuce was poor, with the root parts. Bread was cold. Otherwise Steaks were great. Needed more staff.

    Elliot was the best waiter he was very attentive but all the staff was very kind and courteous too. I went to the Roseville one before and they were not as nice or attentive. So I know which one I will be going back to from now on in the future.

    We had a wonderful evening at Ruth’s Chris and enjoyed our meal very much. Our waiter was outstanding, very attentive and explained everything we needed to help us with food and beverage choices. The only negative part of the experience was a professional man dining near us handed his friend his iPhone to watch an SNL skit very loudly. It was rude to everyone around. We were celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary.

    This was our first time at Ruth's Chris & likely our last. We dined for two hours, which felt like forever. Our appetizer was timely, our entrees were not. The service was also forgettable. The server said what you are "expected" to say as a server, but was not personable. The food for the price was subpar. Nothing special about it. Nothing to write home about. Not sure if it's because this is a chain steak house or what but it did not meet any mark that we expect for the price. I recommend CK Knights Steak House. For the same price you get out of this world food and service.
