Ruth's Chris Steak House - Pier 5
We had a great experience. Our waitress Sarah was awesome and fun to talk to
Phenomenal experience from start to finish. The oysters with the wasabi ginger were so good! I always get a ribeye and it is always perfect! Our sides were mushrooms and potato au gratin . The service is always friendly, knowledgeable and timely.
Food and drinks are always very good. My friend got a free dessert for her birthday. We will be back for future visits.
The best steak I've ever had....16oz ribeye
The experience was nice, steak come out over cooked but the server and Manager was very accommodating.
Another great meal. Started off with Margaret who had such a friendly personality and five star service. The filets were naturally awesome. My starter, the chop salad, is incredible. My sons beef carpaccio was world class as well. FYI I only gave 4 stars in value simply because of course this is not an inexpensive restaurant- although well worth every penny; the 4 stars is this no reflection of what a great place this is!
I went to Ruth Chris For the first time to celebrate my birthday. Although it was a tad pricey the service was amazing. Our waitress name was Margaret she was soo sweet. She went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. I would definitely go again. Thank you Margaret for making my birthday special.
Last night my family and I went to Ruth Chris to celebrate my son's 23rd birthday. We did not read the dress code before arriving and my 16 year old daughter was wearing ripped jeans. As we were being seen to our table, we were told that she could not be seated in the dining room because of her jeans. We understood and my husband took her to a nearby store to get new pants. The remaining 4 of us stayed and enjoyed cocktails and appetizers until they got back. However, while we were there we saw a lady in Adidas track pants and t-shirt, another lady in capri yoga pants with a crop sweatshirt and sneakers, a lady wearing a t-shirt that said, "I'm not just a snack, I'm the whole damn meal" and more sneaker and crop top variations than I can count... all sitting in the dining room. While my daughter was in ripped jeans, she was wearing a very nice top and heels. She looked more appropriate than many people in the dining room. I totally get a dress code and honestly love a place that demands everyone look nice (I'm a fan of any excuse to dress up), but it really should be enforced consistently.
From their website:
Proper Attire Required Please.
Thank you for not wearing: Athletic wear, tank tops (gentlemen), clothing with offensive graphics or language, flip flops, cut-off shorts or torn clothing.
Please remove your hat when entering the restaurant.
The best experience I have had yet and our server was phenomenal!
The location was great. Service was great. The private room where we were seated looked like a hotel conference room. Outside of that, no complaints.
Let me just say I’m not very picky and pretty laid back, but i was Not impressed. Paid over 200$ for a table next to a bright window with three tables of people sitting practically on top of us. I could hear all the conversations around me and sure they could hear mine too. Table wasn’t pre bussed even though we had the dishes stacked at the end of the table. Steak was supposed to be medium and was medium well. Food surely wasn’t worth over 200$. Certainly won’t be back. Ridiculous prices and I would’ve enjoyed my steak at home better and more privacy at another restaurant. Waste of money
It was my sisters birthday and her first time dining in this establishment we waiting an Additional 20 minutes after having a reservations once we were at our table we ordered our food and ended up waiting hour and 45 minutes for our food to come we were placed in a cold area on the food came out it was well after 11 o’clock at this point we were very irritated and wanted to go home my sister did not enjoy her birthday or her first time experience at Ruth Chris
We had a reservation for 830 pm, however when we arrived we were told there was 25 minute wait. The atmosphere did not feel like a five star dining experience. The food was subpar. I have experienced Ruth’s Chris food in other cities, and the food is usually impeccable. I ordered Ribeye steak medium well, however the steak was tough, not tender at all. I do not recommend this establishment for special occasions as we were celebrating my husband’s birthday.
Be careful of your attire. Although there were other guests there with worse clothing on.
Good food, slow service, banquet hall ambience. The old girl is slipping a bit.
Disappointed that the price fix menu was required and there was no notification during reminder call that the price fix menus was the only menu being offered.
The sides were terrible; sweet potato casserole over cooked and under seasoned, mushrooms too salty. The waitress had too many tables to cover so we had poor service. We have been coming here for several years on special occasions and I doubt if I will come back, extremely disappointed.
We visited Ruth's Chris at Pier5 on Valentine's Day. We had reservations and were promptly seated. Our waitress was attentive and made a good wine paring for my wife. The salmon had a little spice to it that my wife loved. It was a great experience and they were very efficient on a very busy evening.
The service and food is always amazing .
Great experience unfortunately my medium well steak was just a little more bloody than I would have preferred.
The food is WONDERFUL! A very classy dining experience. Minor flaw... The manager was going over to everyone's table to check in on them... he seemed reluctant to stop in at our table for some reason. I don't know ....there was some bias there for some reason ... I felt it. Aside from that, dinner was lovely. I am a frequent diner at Ruth's Chris and the food / service is always top notch.
Had to sit in bar area because my son wasn't appropriately dressed...other than sitting in the bar area, it was wonderful
Exceptional service! The best steaks we’ve ever had, as well as the sides. The lobster bisque and house salad left a little to be desired.
Will not go back. Total waste of money. Bad service. Wayyyyyyyy toooo many other places to eat that are far more spectacular nearby. I seriously cannot believe this place is still in business and I am a Baltimore native and don’t usually leave reviews but wanted to make sure no one else bothers to waste their time or money here.
Great food and nice atmosphere. Felt rushed through meal a bit
My wife and I went for restaurant week and everything was great. Food, service and the caring of the manager and staff. I even left my credit card behind by mistake and the restaurant called me within an hour. Very nice.
best steak I have ever eaten. Service was over the top though. too much personality and attention
Overcooked steak, over sat waiters service was decent
Waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious. Definitely enjoyed myself.
Daughter mommy date
The experience was not altogether pleasing. Two tables of diners arrived quarter way through our meal. They were loud, disruptive and disrespectful of others dining experience. The waiters did their best but it was not pleasant .
Peter was wonderful
Wonderful Birthday experience.
My husband and I took our 21 month old child with us and Ruth's Chris was more than accommodating. They were kind, generous and patient which honestly surprised us. I would recommend Ruth's Chris to ANYONE!
Everything was GREAT!
The young black lady that served us water and got us bread did an exceptional job. She was very nice and attentive.
Had to eat in bar with Raven gear on, foolish on a playoff night. Food and service mixed. Some good some bad sent back. Great piney cocktails!
