Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are over 140 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Marina Del Rey, CA.

The tablecloth was dirty with wine spilled and additional stains when we sat down. Guests were permitted to wear athletic clothing - totally taking away from an upscale experience.

The food and service were perfect. However, I was a little surprised by the casual dress of some of the patrons (sweatpants and t-shirts). Also, some of the tables were very loud and there was one server who seemed to be encouraging them to be louder.

Food and service was exceptional as always. From the time we arrived to when we left everyone wished my husband Happy Birthday, making him feel special. Our waiter, Damian, was on point as always. Never had to ask for anything, he just knew.

There were several large parties tonight that were very loud, boisterous and singing loudly in the dining room which was great for them but really didn’t help add to the ambience of a meal at Ruth’s Chris for others dining in the same area. It was challenging to have a conversation at the table. Unfortunately, Management did nothing to curtail these loud disrupting activities Based on this experience I do NOT recommend this Marina Del Rey location compared to other locations of the same chain. We’ve been to Ruth Chris many times over the years and always enjoyed a wonderful experience it was very disappointing to be at this restaurant. Not up to the same high level of class and ambience that one comes to expect from a Ruth Chris restaurant

I had dinner at Ruth’s Chris last night and Kevin was our server. He was amazing—always on top of everything and incredibly attentive. Kevin and his supporting team were the best. They all worked seamlessly together and really made our night special. Great service all around!

We ordered three medium rare steaks. Two came exactly as ordered; the third was inedibly raw in the center. Luckily the rest of the food was very good, and there was enough that we didn’t bother sending it back

Our booth had a big hole in the seat. Nats flying around our table. One landed in my wife’s salad. Service slow. Steak was amazing. Maybe off night.
