We were seated next to a table of people who were celebrating a birthday very loudly. There were plenty of empty tables in the restaurant when we arrived, and I wish that the staff would have put us much farther away from that table. When our waiter came to tell us about the menu, we could not hear him. It truly was that loud. About half way through the meal, the table cleared. We could hear the nice music and the conversation levels returned to normal. At that point the ambiance was very nice, but up until that point it was not, in spite of the lovely views out the windows.
Food was good. Will come again
Good was severely over seasoned and our server continued to try and sell us higher priced foods subtly. We got a $75 meal and paid $200 for it.
Food was outstanding but what made the evening extra special was our service. Our server Paul was a very polite, professional young man!! He was very
Knowledgeable on the menu and gave great recommendations. We also never had an empty glass on the table which is a pet peeve of mine. Paul made the evening.
Thanksgiving buffet was amazing. Food was delicious and so much to choose from. All the usual Items were there and then other really awesome surprises. A lot of wonderful seafood dishes too! Save room for dessert! All the staff were professional and happy. Thank you!
First off... DJ our server was absolutely phenomenal! Very friendly, personable and nice all the way around. He's definitely perfected his craft!
Thxgvn buffett was great, I just only wished that there was one plain stuffing to accomodate individuals who are not meat eaters -- other than that, there was nothing left unturned. Thanks again and I hope everyone at RS had a great holiday!
Thanksgiving Dinner with the family
Don't ever eat a buffet at this place, it was hideous. Not one item was delectable.
Really good food selection, great service, the same thing again next year for thanksgiving
Expectations were exceeded especially during the pandemic!
Delicious food, expedient service, great view, stiff drinks!
The Thanksgiving Buffet was food was good but it was cold. The service was great and the restaurant was inviting all staff was cordial, pleasant and warm. Another problem was the food was on the 1st level and my husband and I had to keep walking 2 flights of stairs to get food. My husband has a brace on his leg so it was very hard for him to go back and forth, so he didn't get all he wanted to eat.
Always a great experience! Wonderful food, ambience, views and a great staff!
It’s been many years since I’ve been to the ‘Scupper. I’ll start by saying buffets are often difficult for restauranteurs to manage, and I think this may have been one of those occasions. While the food was “palatable”, it had the suggestion that it was prepared 12 hours earlier.
For the price I paid, I was expecting “exceptional” food service, not average. The foods available were heavy on the “starches” (i.e., pasta salads and potatoes), but I mean, for cryin’ out loud — no crab cakes!?! In the heart of Baltimore?!? Ya gotta be kidding me …
The live jazz trio was a pleasant touch, and I guess when adding 2 or 3 mimosas to my cuisine, I’ll “score” the entire affair as “passable” — but just barely.
The wait staff was pleasant and attentive, but as I sat to absorb the Baltimore skyline and restaurant furnishings and ambiance, I noticed areas of fading paint along the floorboards and carpets that have extended their lifespan by a few seasons.
It is my hope that this onetime favorite dining spot of mine will be restored to its former greatness, so let’s start with some capital reinvestment.
Considering what we have gone through with social distancing and mask. Did a good job when people came in shifts. Also, had a sanitizing station and people wore their mask as the fixed their plates
Only issue I had was with the parking attendant. I understood that the parking was to be validated with no charge for parking but the attendant insisted there was to be a charge which we paid. Not that it was a lot of money but more the confusion. Might be worth it to explain to the guests that the validating of the parking will provide you with a reduced rate.
Other than that the experience was wonderful.
Thanks to our server for making our visit memorable and most enjoyable.
Very fresh seafood. Excellent service.
Adequate wine selection.
Amazing food & service!
Phenomenal atmosphere and the fare was delicious! I was very impressed, as it was my first visit. My family thoroughly enjoyed as well. This is now one of my favorite restaurants! I will definitely be back and will highly recommend.
Always a great time!
The Sunday Brunch is my family’s favorite go to spot. The food is superb. And as an oyster lover, the raw oyster bar is more than worth the price of admission. Our family will return for Sunday brunch again and again.
Great fool selection for brunch.
Overall, the experience was good. It was a little wait for our food but our server was great. He brought us a salad, apologizing for the wait. We really enjoyed our dinner.
Good location and View but too noisy, impossible to have a conversation with your own tablemates… food average service average prices average - for me it is a one time try.
it was super nice. My fiancé had an awesome birthday
A lovely delicious dinner. Server was very good. Beautiful view.
Amazing! Great staff
Food was excellent! Best shrimp and grits. Service outstanding.
Food was good. Service was great.
My spouse and I have been celebrating our anniversary at Rusty Scupper for the last couple of years and we have never been disappointed. The food is great, the drinks are bomb and the view is spectacular to say the least.
Yeah!!! The buffet is back and good as ever. Service and quality the same as pre-Covid. Very happy with my dining experience.
I brought my daughter to brunch for her birthday, along with a few of her friends.
This was our 3rd trip out to Baltimore and the Rusty Scupper Sunday Brunch. We were concerned that it might not be as good as in (pre-Covid) times. So we were pleasantly surprised that it was every bit as good as we remembered. Food, service, and entertainment. Well done Scupper!
The food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was beautiful
The experience was very warming and welcoming the site of the harbor at night was extremely beautiful great restaurant for special occasions and anniversaries.
Delicious meal and great service but overpriced.
My Mahi Mahi was over cooked and my Asian style sauce was too strong and rice was undercooked. The Cream Crab soup and fresh bread was excellent. Those that were with me enjoyed their crab pasta dish. Service was good and location is amazing. Based on my food, I probably would not return.
It was great place to dine and i will be going back again soon.
VERY good food, just a little pricey. Wait staff is excellent!
Logan recommended some great entrees and they didn’t disappoint
