We have been to Roy's several times at different locations. We were very disappointed in the taste of the food and the value of the food (the amount of food that we got for the price we paid). Although we all ordered different things, we all needed salt because the food lacked taste. We also ordered dessert, and I will say that the dessert was very delicious. There are not too many fine dining options in Waikoloa, and Roy's was on our "consistently good" list, so needless to say, we were very disappointed, especially driving from Hilo. However, the service was excellent as it usually is.

Misoyaki is good, the adobo shank wanted to love it but not sure if I call it Adobo or Patatim… the crew and service good. We love the dessert both are good pineapple and chocolate.

Food was very good. Slightly expensive, but it is a famous chef’s restaurant. Snapper and shrimp was delicious. The ahi on the poke nachos melts in your mouth. Salmon was very good as well, and it was a good portion of salmon.

Absolutely an unexpected surprise when our exceptional server; a professional named Kealihi (?) was so full of aloha and care for us; a table of eight ladies out to celebrate. Mahalo plenty to this beautiful soul who put up with our multiple request and did so with grace, timeliness and perfection. He nailed it! Then the food. Wow! I am a local girl who frankly; cringed at the thought of going to Roy’s based upon pre pandemic experiences. This IS the new Roy’s! Wow! A phenomena beyond anything you could imagine; a victorious transformation worthy of a verse in the pages of Fodors or Honolulu Magazine. What an incredible menu. Whoa! Luscious appetizers then entrees served beautifully which include all the yummies; a starch and a vegie! What? You heard it right. No more ordering separately all the things. Yahoo! Here I am again. Telling all the secrets that make our Big Island food scene AWESOME. I better stop. Not! I believe that sharing is caring for the hard workers who go to work here and everywhere. Remember. TIP your server and flip a bill to the Water Boys and girls. Mahalo plenty!

The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible experience at Roy’s. All the food and drinks were delicious and it doesn’t get much better than the lava cake!

Dinner and service were good. We had a nice view of the pond and everyone was friendly and accommodating. The fish was fresh with a great sauce.

Most of us were happy with our entrees, but mine was almost inedible. I had the snapper and shrimp. The snapper was so overcooked it felt like overcooked chicken breast and tasted fishy. The shrimp were very overcooked as well. There were 8 of us. People with the filets were happy and other fish dishes.
