Let me start by saying I RARELY leave bad reviews, but this experience needed to be shared. We had Reservations at 6:30 pm and we didn’t have our drink orders until 7:30. We were seated and it took our waiter 15 minutes to even approach our table, and he practically sprinted away when we didn’t have our choice ready the instant he asked. I also had questions about the menu and he quite literally said “you’re gonna have to figure that one out on your own.” - and then proceeded to sprint away again. Our food was mid, I ended up just getting a couple appetizers and a salad, my fiance had the filet with lobster. The crab cakes were not good, they seemed to be made out of canned crab and the pickled vegetables that came with them were disgusting. The chicken spring rolls were good, hard to mess that up. The ribs were so fatty and came with 0 presentation just a messy stack of ribs on a plate. The wedge salad was maybe the worst I’ve ever had. My fiance said his filet and the lobster tail were good. We had 3 appetizers, a salad, a kids meal, 1 cocktail, 1 NA beer, and 1 steak with lobster and our bill was $250 - it was easily the worst quality meal we’ve had on the island, the worst service, for the highest bill. Now let’s talk about ambience… this section of the restaurant had me feeling like I was in a 2 star hotel ballroom. Gross carpet floors and ugly tables, zero art, low ceilings, zero ambiance.I felt so claustrophobic and ready to leave by the end. My meal also gave me a massive stomach ache. Over all I’d recommend avoiding this restaurant if you can. There are tons of amazing places and for the price you could have an epic meal at Browns Beach House at the Orchid.

We were quite disappointed in our experience overall there were 7 of us put next to the kitchen or area where waiters congregate, so the table was noisy. Are waiter was quite cheery and explained all well. Drinks came quickly and so did hors d’oeuvres. One drink was so sour my son could not drink it. The ribs were fantastic. We ordered 3 souffles ahead of time. There was a while before the entrees came. Those who ordered the macadamia nut crusted swordfish had high expectations that sadly were not met. I ordered the salmon which I love at Roy’s, but sadly the salmon was cooked to death (I asked for medium plus) and the citrus ginger sauce that used to be on this fish was no more—ponzu sauce came on the side and I stole some of my husband’s ginger (the kitchen said they didn’t have anymore). Has my Roy’s staple been changed? And we waited at least 45 mins for our dessert. Don’t know why, but they did comp them without asking. So sad this lovely Roy owned Roy’s is not the same as it used to be.

Food was very good. I loved butterfish and bok Choy. Nice glass of wine. Attentive service. So all good. But just not quite the Roy’s experience. View of water inlet. They were very nice as we were delayed due to being lost. Good solid meal. Decent price.

Food was excellent, waitstaff were very accommodating, and the children’s menu was one of the best we’ve seen (and we’ve been to a decent number of restaurants around the globe). Highly recommend!
