The noise level in dining room was so loud that you couldn’t talk or even think. Our ears were literally hurting when we left. We would definitely not go back to this location. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. The ahi was delicious.

The noise level at this restaurant is ALWAYS far above what could be considered comfortable. Many children, many of them screaming and adults literally yelling to be heard at their tables make the dining experience less than adequate. The food and service are excellent however.

It was my first time at a Roy’s restaurant and it won’t be my last. Everything we ordered was delicious. Loved the ambience and our waiter. We even ordered dessert, the chocolate soufflé. It was out of this world.

We arrived promptly for our reservation but ended up having to wait 10-12 minutes for our table to be ready. We were quickly served chilled edamame and water and greeted by the GM, Diva. She was charismatic as very knowledgeable, already aware we were celebrating and wanted to make sure we had a good time. She told us about all the special menu items and made recommendations for every portion of the menu. We started with a ahi roll that came out lightning fast and was delicious. The beet salad followed which was small but also very tasty and not too overdressed. We then had the trio of Fish; salmon, Opah and Mahi all of which were cooked perfectly. The Salmon was my husband’s favorite, grilled with pickled veggie and the Opah with the ginger miso glaze was mine. We both equally loved the macadamia nut crusted mahi. A Hawaiian classic. Our last dish was the seafood “Mac n cheese” which was a bit disappointing, only because for $52 I expected a bit more lobster and the orzo pasta was nothing to rave about. Good, but not great. That said, the service was wonderful. My glass of water was always full and there was always someone coming by to check on us.

Wonderful meal, great seafood offerrings on the menu. Really enjoyed the crabcake appetizer and the seafood entrées. Just wish the dessert options were more enticing to us. Good service, noise level can be a little louder due to the closeness of the tables and groups having reservations. Will go back on my next trip.

We always enjoy coming here - we like to sit at a table outside and get a variety of pupus And drinks for dinner. The crab cakes, spring rolls and short ribs are excellent. Service is always great.

All the servers were extremely nice and wonderful at their jobs. The food was amazing as usual and a small little cake complementary of the restaurant was the perfect little touch to our anniversary dinner. The chocolate soufflé is absolutely to die for and takes 30 minute to prepare. Our waiter was really well prepared and came ahead of time to let us know this and let us order ahead of time so we didn’t have to sit around waiting.

白身魚のパン粉焼き(ソース名忘れました)が今まで食べた白身魚料理の中で最も美味しかったです!ペアリングのワインも最高でした。前菜も最早前菜のレベルではないです!最高!お財布さえ許せばまた行きたいです♡

Food was excellent.we started with bao buns & a great field green salad. Richard had the chef tasting menu that had a 3 course app of rib/shrimp/spring roll.followed by macadamia crusted swordfish. Dessert was macadamia tart. I had Maki rolls: spider roll/frying fish roll & rainbow poke bowl. For dessert, I had the pineapple upside down cake. Overall an excellent meal.

Food was amazing. We got the chicken roll with pineapple sweet and sour sauce and beet salad for appetizers. They were very delicious . Followed by the filet mignon and Shellfish Orzo "Mac and Cheese" which we described as the best we ever had in those two categories. They were both in the 50$ range but it is worth the money!!! Expect this dinner to be for a special occasion. No dress code but people appear to wear casual nice vacation attire.

Roy’s is well known for its cuisine reminiscent of Hawaii. The butterfish with a sweet ginger Beurre Blanc was delicious. The gravy on the meatloaf was rich and quite delicious with mashed potatoes. Despite the very busy restaurant, our waiter was attentive and helpful in making our selections.

Had a great time, we were seated on a booth towards the back which was nice and made it a little more intimate and less noisy. Our waiter was really great, informed us of all the favorite dishes and chef recommendations which we actually ordered based on that. All of our food was fantastic and the desserts were absolutely delicious, including the complementary anniversary dessert!

A few things to consider before selecting Roy's, Waikiki
1, noise! Impossible to hold a conversation, my wife and I literally used hand signals to communicate
2, food: be careful what u order, some fish dishes seem experimental, butterfish was very strong, very odorous
3, did I mention noise? Trade show in town, sorry we chose that evening, they ruined our experience

My husband and I were served raw meatloaf (very dangerous; I have a compromised immune system). Unfortunately we had eaten some of our servings before we discovered the food safety concern (lighting was very low in restaurant and we needed iPhone flashlight to reveal raw ground beef). The issue was reported to our server who acknowledged and agreed, comped our entree and dessert (which we had ordered prior to being served raw ground beef due to cook time). We are hoping for no illness within the 72 hour window but monitoring. Service was very friendly. My husband and I are also in food service so obviously disappointed and concerned for health.

Excellent food, but noise level so high that my wife and I could hardly hear each other. Will not return.
