   Today 6/2 is 35th Anniversary, when we were in at 6:15pm, it was fully booked. Restaurant was super busy. All staffs, especially our server was working very hard, very attentive and always smiling. I totally understood whole store, all staffs were super busy. We really loved and enjoyed. Food Service Quality Atmosphere Excellent!!! 10+ stars

   The 4 of us had a variety of delicious meals. I had crab cakes, half salad, and amazing mashed potatoes. So yummy. Others had salmon and the tiger shrimp and garlic parm with crab ravioli. Fantastic!! We also loved the edamame and molten chocolate soufflé.

   Fantastic staff and service. Very good food. Would certainly return. Quality experience and the attentive service truly stood out. Would certainly recommend the prix fixe tasting menus.

   Extremely disappointing - poor quality of food and ambivalent service. Regularly eat at Roy’s Pebble Beach which is far superior to our experience in Waikiki. Highly recommend you do not waste your money.

   Roy’s trio was a good way to try the different seafood entrees. Waiter put spicy sauce on the side for my wife, which she appreciated. Butted encrusted magi Maui was delicious. Wonderful experience for a special occasion.

    Went there for my Wife’s Birthday and the experience was a real let down. Our Waitress was very poor (Christy). The restaurant was not busy, but she only came to our table 3 times. I was helped by the guy pouring water more than her. Dinner is $55.00 to 75.00 per person which is fine but we did leave hungry. There are to many great places to eat while in Waikiki, go somewhere with an ocean view and a staff that takes care of you.

    The food is good, but not as good as one would expect from the high prices. It also took a while between the 1st and second course. The waiter apologized for the long wait, but even after he apologized it took some time until we got the second course. Dessert arrived quickly thereafter.

    Omg!! Everything thing we had was delicious!! Ribs, sushi, Brussels sprouts and dessert. Was my birthday and they took great care of me. Might have to go back again before I head home. Loved it!!

    Well, for a place that charges almost $100 for a ribeye, the expectations of the quality of food, drink, and service are pretty high. The servers around the restaurant had their shirts untucked, visible Haynes white undershirt/ wifebeaters tank tops showing, and cheap gas stations plastic pens in their pocket protectors of the Hawaiian button ups. Our server didn't check on our food to see how it tasted until my wife and I were literally done eating with empty plates. He said, "Wow it must have been good!" Well, it was decent for the price- however, you took 25 minutes to check on us so.... it wasn't because we ate fast that it was done by the time you got there (and no, it was not by any means busy. My wife ordered the sushi which was noted to take 40 minutes- it came out in 7 minutes.) The other issue was the drinks; $20 per cocktail. My wife and I each ordered a different one and they both were very, very stiff. Usually there is nothing wrong with that but, there was zero flavor to the drink. They were poorly made and caused you to gag each sip you took. For $20 each, I'd expect a complex layering of flavor profiles from what they described on their menu yet, it just tasted like pure gasoline. We are from Sacramento, CA. I understand part of the price is location and ambiance, but we can pay 1/6th the price and get better tasing food, drink, and ambiance, with better service in many places in Sacramento. To be clear, there is much much much better food from food trucks or small restaurants with better service even in Waikiki than this restaurant, for also a fraction of the price. Lastly, when the busser came to fill our waters, he nonchalantly grabbed the empty glasses and over filled the waters in such a disregard, he spilt water all over the ground, and then repeated the action with my wife's water, over filling it with haste, clearly not giving any discourse to what he just did with mine, and spilt it all over our shoes, twice.

    We had an early reservation for two and they put us at a table in the back corner by the kitchen and wait staff area. It was very noisy and we got to listen to the waiters conversations. The room did fill up over the course of our dinner but there were still three tables for two by the window available. The food and service were excellent as usual.

    We were vacationing and had never eaten in a Roy's restaurant before. The service and the food were both excellent!!! Should we return to visit Honolulu we will also visit Roy's again.

    Drinks are super watered down. Macadamia nut mahi mahi used to be AMAZING, but now - not so good. Tastes like a lot of butter , and no other flavors. I had to add salt, pepper, and hot sauce. This has been a staple for me every trip here , but not anymore!

    We love this restaurant and will be coming back for more! Compared to some other great restaurants around Waikiki Roy’s would be best value in terms of cost and quality. Particularly good seafood offering, best we’ve found for exotic style fish types and sensational flavours.

    Went to Roy’s for an anniversary dinner and the food was amazing! All of our dishes were delicious and the cocktails were great. Only complaint was the restaurant was VERY loud and there were times we couldn’t even hear each other talking across the table. Other than that, would highly recommend!

    The food is always excellent!! This is a must-stop for me whenever I’m in Hawaii. A chef that I met recommended the place and wow!! Simply delicious. The ambiance is good, drinks are good, and the staff is wonderful! Nothing more you could really ask for.

    Second time I've eaten at a Roy's in the last two weeks, and both were excellent experiences. This time my wife had the trio- 3 fish dishes, salmon, butter fish and another macadamia (?) fish, all delicious. Sushi roll also delicious and the chocolate lava cake and vanilla ice cream was amazing, truly decadent. Our only "mistake" was ordering the butterfish as an appetizer, when we were also getting it as an entree. $28 sounds a little pricy for such a small piece of fish. But overall it was still a near perfect experience. Oh and my Mai Tai was spot on- strong, rum drink but tasty and perfect for the Hawaiian) experience

    Decided to try the sushi vice the classical entrees, seemed better priced and also something I had not done in previous visits. The sushi was a cut above what I have seen in the past with better preparation and flavor than I normally see even at nicer establishments. Roy's remains a clear top-pick for special occasions for a reason - its reliably good and not too exotic to not be approachable by any member of the family.
