Perfect day for a casual lunch outside. Salads were refreshing and fish was done perfectly.
Good food and attentive service. A bit light on atmosphere.
During the pandemic, I appreciate them adding extra tables outside. However, our table was on a curve and our food and silverware were sliding to the end of the table every time we sat them down. For a nice restaurant, it was very distracting. The servers and busboys saw this but did not fix or offer a solution. Closer attention to your guests seating experience would be appreciated at this price point.
In addition, it was my mom's birthday and they went above and beyond for her. Highly recommend for birthdays.
Great time. Food and service was excellent.
We loved our food and had the opportunity to go on Monday for the Mahalo Monday special. Everything was outstanding!
As always Roy’s was absolutely fantastic. The food, drinks and service are exceptional. The manager is hands on and does an outstanding job.
Waitress was less than attentive. We asked for more edamame three times and she never brought them. She brought cappuccino but no sugar or spoon.
The food was good, but the service was very slow. It took 40 minutes to get served a simple lunch
The food was very expensive and the fish tasted terrible. I was surprised at the price and quality. We had ordered the house specialty. The fish was extremely fishy tasting. Didn’t even finish the meal.
This was one of the best meals we have had at Roy’s. Everything was perfectly cooked and served.
We are big fans and have been eating here since it opened, maybe 20 years ago.
Anyone looking for excellent food and service must try Roy’s
Excellent TNT mahi-mahi!!
We have dined at Roy’s in Hawaii for years, and we were really looking forward to the chance to dine there again. For the price, we were disappointed. Nothing like the Hawaii venues... We had reservations, and when we arrived ten minutes early, they put us, a party of two, at the only two top on an enclosed porch with many large-party tables, which was completely empty other than us. No ambience at all. We asked to be moved, and were moved to a cozy booth inside that was very comfortable. Server remarked that sooner or later, someone was going to have to sit out there, and that we were stuck with her as server either way. I ordered a fish sampler type platter, with salmon, tuna, mahi mahi, and their signature butterfish, which was $48. Butterfish was not even warm. When the DR manager asked us how our meals were, I told her this. She brought me another serving of the butterfish, which was hot and delicious. Then, server brought our check without asking if we wanted coffee and/or dessert. We ordered coffees and a dish of coconut ice cream anyway, and she brought us an updated check.
We would not go back, we expect more when dining at a high end restaurant.
Food, setting and service was all amazing!
Friendly service with Chandler. Food was outstanding.
Absolutely great meal here. Services was outstanding, food tasted great. I cant wait to go back. Highly recommend it. 2/19/2021
Roy’s is not what it used to be.
The food is always good at Roys and the distancing between tables very good with in our case well over 6 ft to the next customers
All of our dinners were excellent, from the tuna to scallops to butterfish. Our server was very attentive without being bothersome. Wonderful evening.
I was able to reserve BAR space but when I got there it was actually only main restaurant seating so my open table reservation was Useless
Excellent service and wonderful food quality.
Thanks!
I’ve eaten at Roy’s all over the US. Especially Hawaii! I think they are great restaurants! However, the Roy’s on the mainland, like the Bonita Springs Roy’s lose the flair that they have on Hawaii. As a result, even though the food is special and very good, it’s lost its ambiance. In Hawaii the Roy’s restaurants are very careful about the small things. Timing the food, clean glasses and silverware, and that special treatment you get when you spend a good penny on the food.
Monday special is the greatest deal around Bonita Springs
Will not go back, service was mediocre, food was ok
Valentines menu was disappointing. My wife’s ahi was poor. Sea bass was good.
We went on Valentines Day and was sorely disappointed in our experience. We checked out their menu before we made a reservation and knew it was an expensive restaurant and we were totally prepared for that. What we did not expect was a very limited menu with their prices raised substantially. We ordered the surf and turf for $105 and indicated we wanted to split the meal, we were told splitting wasn’t allowed. So we paid $25 for our drinks and left. Luckily we found a very nice Italian restaurant (Molinos) just around the corner whose food, service and ambience far exceeded what we had just experienced at Roy’s.
We don’t mind paying a lot of money for a nice meal but Roy’s was nothing less than price gouging at its best. We won’t be back.
The food, as always, was terrific. My wife and I split the filet which was done perfectly. Our server Joseph was excellent - attentive but not disrupting. It was a beautiful night on their patio. Couldn't have been better!
Service was outstanding. However our food was very, very poor quality and way over priced. The Filet lacked any taste at all as well as the rice that was pair with the scallops. At $100+ for the Filet (Surf & Turf & Surf) and $70+ for the scallops, we expected the dishes to at least be palatable. We had the same meal a week prior at Izzy's in Fort Myers for 1/3 the price and it blew us away.
Roy’s of Bonita Spring is a solid value with good food at a reasonable price and friendly wait staff. Our experience has been that their service is slow however and the restaurant can feel quite busy with wait staff and other Roy’s personnel running around.
Excellent, as always. Our friends have not been to Bonita Springs and loved it. They were at the one in Naples; now sadly closed.
I have been to Roy's often and the food was great as always. The service was very slow. Guess I should correct that, it took a long time for our food to arrive. Then a while for our check to arrive. I would go back. Maybe just an off night for the kitchen?
We were greeted at the door as soon as we arrived by a very friendly and welcoming staff, then led to our outdoor table which was positioned far enough removed from others to eliminate any concern about being too close to others during this pandemic. Kelly , our waitress, promptly and cheerfully greeted us and took our drink order. We were then allowed time to enjoy our drink while pondering the menu. Upon arrival of dinner , we were respectfully monitored to make sure our needs were met . The dinner itself was outstanding as was the entire evening. Thank you Roy's for a great dining out experience.
Roy's is deliciously different from other restaurants.
Everything was fine!
Great food Great service...we love it
Roy’s has great service, great food, great atmosphere, not a lot of noise, divine desserts, and you always know that your money was well spent.
Made a reservation on line for 6:15 pm. Got there 45 minutes early and asked to be seated on the patio at our reservation time. When we asked to be seated they put us on the sidewalk. I said we asked for the patio, the hostess said oh you have to specify which one. (I would say they only have one patio!!). She said the others on the patio were reserved. The patio never did fill up the whole time we were there. I feel we were not told the truth. Food was so so, way not worth the price. Wine pour was stingy for $9.00 a glass.
Will go back! Great happy hour. Nice sitting outside.
Great food great service great presentation.
Food was excellent, but service was slower then normal
Maholo Monday is an awesome value. Highly recommend.
