About RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
RockCreek Seafood & Spirits is a full service restaurant and bar located in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, WA. We’re open daily; serving dinner from 4pm to 11pm, and brunch from 9am until 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Our menu centers around globally sourced seafood from well managed fisheries; with offerings of local Northwest familiars like crab, oysters and mussels, to more tropical fish like Kona Kampachi or Hawaiian Ono, and East Coast staples like Striped Bass. Our preparations emphasize fresh ingredients that arrive daily, and pronounced flavors from around the world.
Our urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge’ was built with local and reclaimed resources by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. Our tables were crafted from bark-beetle pine, and we even found a home for our favorite re-purposed farm equipment! Our space includes the main dining area, our killer bar, a large modern patio and an upstairs loft and private dining room.

RockCreek Seafood & Spirits Ratings and Reviews
Food was fresh and very well prepared and presented. The octopus was great, tender and delicious, A++ on this dish, perfectly prepared! We shared 2 starters and 2 small plates as well as dessert which was perfect. The key lime pie was to die for!!!
Service was attentive and friendly. Will be back!
Calamari was delicious! Octopus claimed to be best in town but had better. It was also a very salty dish and hard to enjoy. Drinks very good. Creatively mixed and nice glasses. Figs w blue cheese overpriced for the value. I would go back and try other small dishes. Highly suggest the calamari.
We sat at the bar to take advantage of the great happy hour menu. Delicious small plates to share, and great drinks. Really friendly servers and bartender. The cauliflower salad is delicious, and very different from any I have ever had. I also highly recommend the mussels bruschetta and the tombo crude from the happy hour menu.
Ate here for my boyfriend's birthday, and was not disappointed! Wonderful cocktail selection and the fish was fantastic. I ordered the monkfish and it was the best fish dish that I have ever ordered. My boyfriend ordered the whole branzino and it was perfectly cooked and really flavorful. We finished off with a maple pecan tarte which was equally satisfying. If you need a place to go to grab a cocktail or great seafood, try Rock Creek!!
The food here was incredible. As a 20 year seattlite it's easy to get into the groove of eating at home or in your own neighboorhood. Rock Creek opened my eyes to getting out (regardless of the traffic) and trying new places that could potentially blow your mind.
The best seafood restaurant in Seattle. Have eaten here several times and always highly satisfied. Seafood selection goes beyond just local sources and is broad enough to suit different tastes. Like the focus on seafood rather than trying to please landlubbers. Preparations are consistently creative, with flavors that accent but don't overpower the fish. The mix of small and large plates is suitable either for sharing or individual ordering. Our waitperson was exceptionally helpful and congenial.
Creative, flavorful, innovative cuisine. Beautiful and colorful food presentation. Quiet, warming, cozy and stylish ambiance. Intelligent and thoughtful service with helpful suggestions and kind manners. Wines were lighter, smooth and fruity and very complimentary to a light, herby, seafood-centered menu. Overall a wonderful anniversary night for the two of us young, local foodies.
We love the menu and the ambiance. If you're a seafood lover this is the place. Not an overly long menu selection, but more seafood diversity than you'll probably find in any other Seattle area resto. We did four small plates for two, which was plenty to serve as a main dish. All were good but the tuna tartare and octopus stood out. And if you're ever driving east of Missoula, MT do yourself a favor and take a detour up the eponymous Rock Creek. It's beautiful!
Wonderful figs for appetitezer, calamari excellent small plate starter along with octopus. Wahoo fish & grits has a bit of hot pepper flavor & a little over cooked but still good. Topped it off with maple pecan cranberry tart that was melt in your mouth delicious!!! We also enjoyed drinks at the bar before reservation ready but only about 5 minute wait & straight to seating. Waitress very knowledgeable & attentive to table & could not have asked for better service or meal for 1st time in Seattle!!
Our table of 3 shared 2 appetisers, 2 small plates, and a whole fish. All had great flavor and were beautifully presented. Our waiter was super knowledgeable and friendly and helped us match the wine to the food. We finished with key lime pie and White Russian cocktails. A perfect evening.
The restaurant has a good vibe. Our server was personable, knew the menu and provided useful descriptions during each course. The food was artistic. We sat indoors, next to the kitchen and we were able to view various menu items as they were served. Normally, I don't want to sit near a kitchen, but in this case, it was enjoyable.
RockCreek never disappoints. My Mother was visiting, and knowing that she would want seafood, I reserved a table. I have been there many times, and it never disappoints. Fish cooked to perfection. Beautifully plated. I like to give visiting family a variety of new options, however, the "good seafood" will always be a given here. She ordered the grouper, and I ordered the black cod - both outstanding. Beautiful heirloom tomatoes/burrata/basil was a delightful starter.
As always, RockCreek was magnificent. When I think seafood in Seattle now, I think RockCreek. The dishes are creative but preserve the animal's key taste characteristics. The fish and shell fish were perfectly cooked, the Summer Vegetables were amazing, especially that Piquillo Hummus! The dish that keeps bringing me back is the Mussels Bruschetta with its saffron aioli and garlic confit. I couldn't think of a more heavenly way to enjoy Mussels than this dish.
Absolutely phenomenal! Went here for my birthday and it was truly amazing. If you don't get the beignets, you are missing out. Thank you to our server, Eric, for talking us out of the cinnamon roll and into the beignets. Also, the burrata salad was to-die-for. Life changing. Before we even finished our meal, we were making plans to come back for dinner soon. We'll be back, Rock Creek!!
