Great robata, highly recommend fish, veggies and also the rice balls.
By far, one of the best experiences ever. OpenTable gave us the chance to wait under 3 mins while they prepped our table.
Tristan was absolutely a gem! He was wonderful and recommended lots of goodies! The food was heaven. Best crispy rice spicy tuna ever!! :)
Amazing food, great service. Considering going back for a second night in a row...
One of the best Japanese restaurants in Los Angeles.
Love this place. Service is great, you're not waiting long for your food, and the choices are great. One of our faves.
Always great. We are neighborhood regulars!
Amazing experience! Looking forward to come back soon!
Great vibes, great decor, great food!
Incredible food at a good price.
The menu is diverse, however the food was hit & miss. Steak & chicken skewers were chewy. Peppers were great excellent as was the bread pudding. Eelskewer was mushy.
Noise level of diners & added music makes conversation difficult.
Server was attentive and described food items very well. Wait for sushi items took a long time compared to other items.
The wait was long for table seating for 3 people even though we had a reservation.
Great happy hour prices and their ramen and yakitori was outstanding!
Love this place! It's kind of underrated, and it shouldn't be. The food is very fresh and yummy. Only thing is the drinks are kind of expensive.
Got there at 6:30 for 7:00 reservation but they sat us down right away. They also told us happy hour til 7:00pm. Great prices and food especially the chicken wings and the pork.
Only valet parking
Friendly service, food came quickly, got seated right away
Waiter was a tad attitudey. Other than that, great food.
Great ramen at this place. Noodles cooked perfectly and the broth was delicious. I liked that they offer half orders because ramen is not really a good leftover if you don’t eat it the same day. Tried the croissant bread pudding for dessert with whip cream and ice cream and was delicious. Noise level high, tight space but met some cool people. Valet parking available - costs $8.
Service was okay, although food came out quite slow, oddly. Quality of food was good, not great - however the price of each dish and portions didn’t justify the experience. Overall impression: Would not return. For better, less expensive, larger portions Japanese food - look to Little Tokyo.
Everything was wonderful!
Great food, ambience and friendly stuff!
Service was not good at all. Food was good. Very noisy
Its an cozy restaurant with great food. They had a great happy hour menu for food and cocktails. There is a big sushi bar and some open air seating. We tried many items on the menu and they were good. Service was good.
This restaurant is down the street from where I love and it is always amazing. Never had a bad meal there, and will continue to go regularly. From the fresh sushi to the skewers to the ramen you can’t go wrong at all. Would recommend to anyone, anytime.
Heard the ramen was good and wanted to give it a try. Ramen was tasty and not a big of a portion as other ramen places, but filling and I had room to try some apps on the menu. Service was super attentive and we our meal was served quickly.
Went to dinner after seeing Wicked. The food was delicious! From the skewers to the wagyu to the brussel sprouts. Definitely coming back.
We love Robata Jinya! The food is great, the atmosphere is very nice, although sometimes very loud.. The homemade tofu, foie gras crispy rice, oyster chicken are really good - you’ll see them as the highlights on the menu, and probably any review you read, but it really is because they are good! I waited to order them until my 4th visit (which is what I like to do to test a restaurants quality/ability etc) and regretted that I waited that long!
We’re regulars at this very good to sometimes excellent izikaya. The omakasa & dry miso selections are recommended & the robata offerings are excellent. My son loves & begs returns for the ramen which other Jin-locations are famous for. The service is friendly & a bit wanky ... every time we’ve dined here, some of our order is never put in ... confusing but funny.
Good place for a casual dinner.
I am a regular diner at Robata, but this time the service was really bad. They forgot our food order after switching server shift. Then when the food finally came out, it was rushed with subpar quality.
Great variety of Japanese street food and wonderful service keep making me go back.
Love this place. Been coming here for over a decade and it is one of the best Robatas in town. Great selection of all things Japanese from sushi, sashimi, noodles, veggies, etc
The ramen here is incredible! The Tonkotsu Spicy Ramen is my favorite. It is also really nice that they have two sizes depending on how hungry you are. I also like to order a plate of the Spicy Creamy Shrimp Tempura that is really tasty as well!
Amazing Japaness food, great prices especially during happy hour!
The oily, oily, vegetables ruined an otherwise good meal
The ambiance is questionable with too much high volume noice
Great as always!
Good service and ambience. Environment was vibe-y and recommend for a date. Food was pretty good, but it can definitely be better. Go there for drinks and small tappas for chat.
It’s very dark can’t even see the menu and the tables are very close. Good thing is the price is acceptable.
Food was outstanding. Service was incredible. Music was too loud.
We went for happy hour and got very excited by the hh menu options. All the tables were full but it didn’t feel too packed. However, the service was unenjoyable slow and we waited over a half hour for one grilled veggie dish and a sushi roll. We’ve been before and never experienced such a delay. It made the whole experience less than stellar.
I really enjoyed Robata JINYA. Service was great. Food was delicious. A must try!
It is always wonderful to dine at this restaurant. Their food is always delicious and service is always nice and friendly
