Ritz Grill Ratings and Reviews
I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. The food is amazing, the martini menu to die for, and the service is incredible! I recently came here for my birthday party and was extremely satisfied. My waitress even bought us the pecan bacon brownie to share! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food, even better drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs!
Had a 6:30 dinner reservation on a Fri, but arrived 45 min early to get in on Happy Hour which stops at 6:30. Had our choice of places to sit as most people were at the crowded bar. Drinks and Appetizers came out quickly. Asparagus fries and Man Candy (sweet and spicy bacon jerky) excellent. Pepperoni Pizza had good flavor but crust too thick for wife's taste. Salmon bacon sandwich on chiabatta roll very good. Took half our entrees home and were just as good the next day.
Excellent food at Ritz, with interesting and varied menu of entrees and burgers. We hadn't tried their burgers before but found them juicy and tasty, cooked perfectly to order. Can sometimes get a bit loud for us "old folks," but we imagine that's a plus for the younger crowd who usually frequent the central bar area.
My husband and I dined with another couple recently and everything was excellent, service, food, all outstanding. The only thing was when the live music started we couldn't even hear each other. We thought it was extremely loud and it should have more background music instead of feature band. We had to leave @ 8:00. Loud music is for after 9:00 in my opinion. After dinner.
Had dinner with hubby before heading to the movie theater. Was not disappointed! The Ritz has a small menu with a mix of different entrees. From a Mac and Cheese Bowl, burgers, sandwiches and salads, there is just enough variety to please most everyone. The Chicken Milanese was crispy on the outside and juicy/tender on the inside. The Sweet, Hot Bacon burger was flavorful and tasty. Service was prompt and cheerful. Would definitely recommend The Ritz if you are Downtown!
The food was great and service was excellent. A restaurant that cares about customer service, however imagine our surprise when we showed up for our reservations as completed on Open Table and was told we are not honoring reservations as of Thursday evening 09/18/2014 due to Fire Fighter events taking place in downtown Colorado Springs. We were placed at a table in the corner of the basement that as it turned out was very good for our group of four as it was much quieter than the bar scene upstairs.
What an amazing restaurant! Started off with free pretzel bites and fondue with a coupon from their website. Our server was Krystal. She made our experience over the top by knowing the menu, being attentive to all parties at our table including the children. We ordered burgers, fries, mac n cheese, rustic pizza, kid's chicken strips, and a bacon pecan brownie. The food was on point! Can't wait to go back!
Birthday dinner. Food was surprisingly and overwhelmingly salty. Probably just a fluke. Wasn't looking to get anything out of the complaint, just wanted the kitchen to know! But birthday girl ended up eating/drinking on the house which was a kind gesture. Cannot remember our servers name, a younger guy, super awesome and timely. Thanks!
After walking Tejon Blvd all day we decided to give the Ritz a try. We loved the Art Deco theme. The crafted cocktails are really nice and they had a decent selection of beer and wine. The food was really good but the menu was limited and should be expanded. Parking is always a problem on Tejon but if you find a space within a few blocks you should really try the Ritz.
Being unfamiliar with downtown Colorado Springs, I found the listing for this place on Open Table as it is close to the hotel I was staying in. It was a cold, snowy night and the place wasn't overly crowded. The menu contained a number of interesting choices but we settled on Chicken Milanese for my wife and Steak a Frites for me. These followed a tasty appetizer of raw tuna tacos. The capper was a caramel doughnut bread pudding that made my eyes roll back. All the food was perfectly prepared and delicious. We told our server we weren't in a particlcular hurry so everything progressed in a leisurely fashion that suited us well. Overall, a great experience.
As a special Christmas treat, we decided on the Ritz Grill. There were mixed reviews, but after reading the menu and prices online, I decided to give it a try. We were all glad we did! Coming from Portland, Oregon where pretty much everyone is a foodie and having a chef for a husband, it has been difficult to find the kind of innovative food we are use to here. Other than someone accidentally putting a slice of lemon on my Peking Chicken sandwich and the drinks were a bit expensive, it was a great meal! Lacey was a wonderful server!
I admit I haven't been to the Ritz Grill for over a year. Not sure why, as I always enjoyed it. I finally made it back this past weekend and was somewhat surprised that the menu has gone from a full menu with lots of choices, both traditional and new ideas, to a fairly basic bistro type menu with no specials and fewer choices. What we had was very good and the prices are definitely lower than before, but we were there for dinner before the Colorado Springs Philharmonic performace on a Saturday night and had really planned on a gourmet dinner. Next time we go we'll make sure it's a night we want more of a bar food selection. Currently good food, low prices and great service,..previously great food, higher prices and great service.
The ambiance of this restaurant is good but the lack in professionalism and service puts this place to shame. I made a reservation ahead of time knowing we were going on a Friday night and assumed it would be busy. Upon arrival the hostess said she was going to clean off a table that was available for us and 10 minutes later we were still standing waiting to be seated meanwhile she was assisting another table. A waiter then approached us and said he was going to do the same and 10 minutes later we were still waiting for the same table, a third person finally came up and cleared the table we were to be seated at. Half an hour later and we finally sat to order. The food was okay for the price. I do NOT recommend this place for any occasion.
Visited on Labor Day and got there in time for happy hour specials. Excellent double-pour martinis! We also tried the Voodoo Tenders and the hummus, both were yummy. We were advised by our server there were steak specials on Monday, $14.99 for either an 8oz flatiron or a 10oz NY strip, so we stayed for dinner. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Indulged in the bacon pecan brownie for dessert and it was outstanding. The salty zing from the bacon crumbles with the chocolate was great.
My husband and I had a great time at The Ritz. We went for a date night and had a great time. We were originally seated near the bar but it was too noisy so we moved to a quieter table near the front of the restaurant. It was not overly rowdy, we just wanted a quiet spot to talk. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Our waitress was outstanding and very attentive. We would definitely make a return trip to The Ritz.
My husband and I used to go to The Ritz often when we lived closer to downtown but hadn't been in many years. Decided to go down and try it again and it was fabulous!
The Asian wings are the best we've ever had! Very large, moist and full of flavor.
We will definitely be going again!
