Ok patio dining, good service and tasty food👍
Eat there often.
Great food. Great service. Easy solution to dinner! The pomegranate marg was delish!!
Great food and service. COVID friendly dining outside!
Prior to the Pandemic this was our favorite mexican restaurant. Friday, Nov. 13th was our first time back. My frozen margarita was not really frozen all the way, the food was average, service good. But, then the 3 of us asked for a second basket of chips and were told they would have to charge us $4.95 that was it for us!!! What?? Anyway, sadly we will go somewhere else in the future. Unless they change the chip policy. It really put us off!
Amazing Service & Delicious Food & Drinks
Prompt service, safe outside dining, food was amazing, flavorful and just the right spices.
Authentic and delicious Mexican food.
Always enjoy dinner and Cadillac margaritas at Rio Azul. Wonderful service. Thanks Dani.
Rio Azul does a good job. The food is quite acceptable, and the service is very friendly. Though we generally prefer other Mexican restaurants in Palm Springs, sometimes we just want to "mix it up." Rio Azul is better than most, but just a bit lagging some others. Very nice people, however!
They had a great happy hour menu. We loved the guacamole and the ceviche.
We were amazed how fast our food arrived. Delightful service and excellent Mole chicken enchiladas. We will be back on our next trip!
The service was awesome we had a really good time and thank you to the servers for being so attentive definitely we will be going back
Great food!!! We all loved our entrees. The only downfall is you have to pay to refill your chips and salsa. But other than that highly recommend!
First time visit and seated in their outdoor patio. Seating/table distances were adequate. Menu is online with a great selection of happy hour and dinner items. Staff and server very pleasant, brought chips/salsa right away. I chose the conchinita pibil over the chili verde this visit and was not disappointed. Very flavorful pork dish and highly recommended! Will try the green chili next visit! Great margaritas for happy hour before 6pm. Well worth the visit.
Another Epicurean delight.....
Service was good. Ambience is too dark. Food is okay. Choices are limited -not much flexibility. No Ranch dressing. Have to pay extra if you want more chips and salsa. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants that I enjoy more.
Cochinita Pibil *chef's kiss*
Loved this place! Delicious Dodd and great cocktails.
Our fits experience was that the food is very overpriced for the actual quality. Carnitas are very dry and presentation is lacking, one of our dinner friends thought they were hash browns. The mole enchiladas are decent but not outstanding for $16.95 enchiladas! We are still curious to try the chorizo enchiladas though and the calamari appetizer was good. I do need to try the tacos, there is a lot more to try (the Parilladas sound really good but then so did the carnitas) but we usually judge a restaurant based on our favorite dishes and those didn't pass but it doesn't mean there aren't other good things on the menu. We may try again at a happy hour time. I think this place would probably work better for the happy hour specials, which is more in line with the quality you are getting. I give this a 72 out of 100, or 3 stars for this first visit.
Great food, awesome staff, enjoyed our meal!
We always enjoy dinner at Rio Azul. The food is our favorite Mexican food in Palm Springs. The Cadillac margaritas are a great value. The service is excellent. You can’t go wrong at RA. Temperature check at the door. Tables spaced well apart.
The problem here is that they aren’t Covid organized. They were unclear on arrival on how to access a menu (no paper menu, no QR code) so we just went to their website. Turns out pricing is way different by about 25% (higher). Previous time here about 3 months ago they mishandled social distancing and sanitation for take out. Food is pretty good. Service was friendly. I have to wonder about overall protocol so won’t be back soon. There’s a better casual Mexican restaurant in the north part of town that knows what they’re doing.
Good food and Drink.
Food and drinks are great; more authentic than other local Mexican food restaurants. The service is very kind, thorough, accurate and gracious. The Cadillac margarita is epic !
Rio was amazing as always. The salsa negra is the most amazing thing ever.
There are better option around Palm Springs to consider. Rio Azul fell short of the reviews on this site.
The food was ok, but was very disappointed in the margaritas. They were super expensive and tasted horrible. The regular Cadillac version was $11, but when upgraded to a reposado tequila they charged $18! And that was for a small drink! And someone in our party wanted mezcal and they charged $20, again for a small drink! If the drinks had tasted awesome maybe the price wouldn’t have bothered us so much. Really questioning if we will return.
This restaurant has the atmosphere of a family-run, neighborhood establishment. It's not fancy, but the food is OK and the service is friendly. When I dined there (for dinner), they had a Mexican harpist - quite unusual for me. He played and sang Mexican tunes. His technique and sound were like that of a guitarist - but on a harp. That added a warm and unique touch to the experience. Prices are reasonable. Wines are very basic.
Lovely, servers were great, harpist was a surprise & great!!!!
Great place for casual dining. Food was better than your typical Amercanized Mexican food.
Our GO TO Mexican restaurant in Palm Springs. We’ve never been disappointed here.
The food and margarita's were great. The food is a big step above the regular stuff you get. We were there on a Sunday evening and it was busy so the service was not the quickest, but the staff was great. You can tell that the food was not premade. The wait was worth it.
They are so friendly and the food is delish. Slightly expensive for TexMex, but they can be because of the location. BIG MENU. Lots of choices.
Pretty ordinary food. Everything needs up dating.
The staff was friendly and on top of it. Delicious Margaritas and some of the best enchiladas I’ve had (country wide)! Order the enchiladas poblanos - amazing!!
