First time at Norah for birthday brunch. Pros: food was very good, attentive service (from everyone except our main server but he made up for it), cool vibe. Cons: high top table was really high and a challenge to climb on/off seats for a couple people in my party, had the vegan huevos rancheros although delicious the mixture of cold guacamole on warm beans and tofu made the dish lukewarm. Despite a few cons I would go again.

Average overly salted food, average service, average experience. The room is impressive but very lowly lit. Impossible for everyone, regardless of age, to read any menu. I wouldn’t spend $300 here again.

The overall vibe at Norah is pretty cool, and the food is great, but the service was absolutely terrible (which killed the vibe), and the live music that was super close to our table was a bit much. We got our appetizers fairly quickly, but the coursing after that was quite delayed, and it was hard to get anyone's attention about it. This was my 2nd visit-- first was a couple of years ago-- but I'm not sure I'd go again based on this experience.

Food was very nice (especially the scallops), but we were informed at 8:30 — about 45 minutes after we sat down — that the kitchen is closing and to order more food if we liked. About 9:30 the music went off and the lights came up on the 3 parties on the floor and the 2 parties at t he bar. I’ve worked in restaurants for 15 years and I know when I’m being rushed out. Also and $18 manhattan is asinine, no matter what their rent is. Will definitely not return.

I love dining at Norah for various occasions. This review is for a Tuesday night business dinner. I gave the 'food' a three-star rating this time as I ordered the duck and was unhappy with the quality. Otherwise, everything was lovely.

A favorite go to place for intimate dining or celebrating a birthday or anniversary. Cornbread is stupid good. Cocktails are great, and the ambience is lovely. Seasonal changes to the menu keep it interesting.

Overall terrible service. Imagine being seated nearly 40 minutes late, and then continue sitting there for an hour like idiots after you ordered with no food on its way out, no check ins by staff, and overall indifference to your presence. That was Norah. Left $15 cash on the table and walked after nearly 2 hours of nothing. Food wasn’t even close to coming out and we’d had it. Not the first time there by any stretch, but was the last. Something went terribly wrong and the manager seemed totally cool with it. Ownership should study 11/24/2019, and figure out what the hell happened that day because if one person not showing up caused everyone to stop giving a $#tt, there are bigger problems than a missing staff member.

We’ve heard about Norah for a couple of years so we’re excited to finally go. Our reservation was for bar seating which was the only option available online, but on arrival we asked to sit at a table which they accommodated. It was weird as most of the tables were empty anyway and it was 7pm. The service was good and as there were only two of us we got through the meal really quickly. Maybe too quick. The food was fine but we weren’t blown away. The menu was typical of all other new restaurant and I’d be surprised if hamachi crudo wasn’t on it. We may go back but there are so many other restaurants to try.

Sat by the bar for brunch. There was a new bartender named Robert who was so nice and so friendly. Price point wise, you guys are expensive for what you’re getting— I had steak and eggs and was somewhat disappointed by the lack of food on the plate but fortunately, it tasted good so it wasn’t the end of the world. Robert made an amazing Bloody Mary which is my deal breaker! If they’re all made like that, I’ll def come in just for that. Service was great, price is high, setting is fabulous, they had live music.

I made a reservation at Norah to celebrate a friend’s promotion and it wants until we arrived at 8:30 for our reservation that they told us their kitchen had closed and couldn’t serve anymore. It was a very frustrating evening. They said they were calling and letting people know but I didn’t receive any calls or messages through my reservation confirmation. This was a very unpleasant experience.

Please think twice before you come to Norah to celebrate an important night with your family. My experience at Norah was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had, and there are better restaurants you can go to and spend $100+ per person. I picked this place to celebrate my husband’s 26th birthday with him & my in-laws. Norah appeared on multiple Thrillist articles, and therefore I went there with high expectations. I want to be fair:nice ambiance, nice & salty seafood, and good cocktails. Lots of good waiters and servers and bartenders I’m sure, but here’s what happened to me at Norah: 1) We were seated in the side dining room instead of the main one, and were seated at the far back of the restaurant. The ambiance was much less attractive. 2) when another guest of 4 were seated next to us, they immediately asked to sit in the main dining room, and got re-seated instantly. 3) I asked our server (Harrison G, as appeared on the receipt), if we can please switch to the main dining room, because its my husband’s birthday, and that it was in the reservation note that we’d really appreciate the effort. 4) Harrison, fortunately became extremely hostile & and without even checking with the host, he shut us down by saying ‘No. We have 150 guests in that room and everything is booked, this part you’re sitting in it’s part of the restaurant too.’ Quite honestly, perhaps it was a super busy night and he couldn’t accommodate, and that would’ve been okay if he’s shown any proper manner or empathy. There was none. 5) for the rest of the night, Harrison stopped by our table less than 4 times - we got tired of waiting at one point and had to order our drinks at the bar. 6) there is no closure to this. I understand it could happen to anyone. But personally I will never come to, or recommend Norah or Norah’s sister restaurant to anyone, given how many restaurants there are in WeHo.

I have never had the lights turned on a half hour before a restaurants closes. Felt very rushed out the door like the staff wanted to go home. This was felt by not only our table but others around us as well.

Food was excellent but the back of the restaurant where we were seated was ridiculously dark and the server did not have a flashlight or any light to assist in reading the menus. Part of the experience of enjoying food is seeing the beauty of the presentation but we literally could not make out anything but vague shapes on the plates when they arrived so the restaurant is really doing itself a disservice by eliminating one of the main aspects of fine dining.

While the food here is quite excellent, the live band at brunch (during both of my visits) was WAY TOO LOUD. My requests to have the speaker volume turned down went completely ignored. It's a shame ... Norah is very convenient and I love the food, but I won't return given how impossible it is to hear conversations with my guests.

I really liked the place itself. Very cool inside...but a bit noisy. Nice little jazz trio playing. The food was fantastic and the service was also very good with a smile:) My only problem was very small portions and very pricey. Overall great...but expect to spend $200 with a few drinks.

I was kind of disappointed bc I made a reservation and I was seated at the bar. The hostess said the tables were booked but there were so many empty tables we could've easily eaten at and had a better experience. I've been to Norah before and never had an issue with seating so I was a little taken aback.
