In the late 1800’s, Royal Street was home to a famous “curio” shop, a place where curiosities from all over the world could be had for a dollar or two. Today, the shop is no more, but the feeling of excitement and wonder still exists on Royal Street today. And so in the heart of the most premier art district in New Orleans, we’re bringing back the curiosity – reintroducing New Orleans to a circus of flavor so vibrant it makes other restaurants nearby pale in comparison.

    Took a customer here for a business dinner. The music was a little loud but the venue was neat. The food was very good. Good authentic New Orleans cuisine. The desserts were excellent. I would definitely come back next time I am in town.

    Disappointed when I meal, which was supposed to come with onion rings, was served with French fries. When I asked the server. Her response was that they were out of onion rings. I realize these may happen occasionally but how about an explanation ahead of time with an apology.

    We had a wonderful time here! The staff was great and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We also enjoyed several of the menu items including the fried green tomatoes and the grit tots.

    food was good and our waitress was very nice but had too many tables to service at one time. the front desk person initially was not very friendly but being that it was Thanksgiving night might be the reason

    Came for thanksgiving and stuck to the original menu. It was our first visit and definitely won’t be our last. The alligator sausage was awesome and the jambalaya didn’t disappoint. Judging by the reviews, we thought it was more of a brunch spot but dinner was great!

    My family of 5 came for a quick lunch on Thanksgiving and had such a great experience! Food was delicious (get the crab cakes!), service was wonderful, vibe was perfect. Busy enough, but not overly packed..felt lively. Football was on, so my husband was happy. Excellent experience and would highly recommend.

    The food was amazing!! The service was spotty. Our dishes from soup and appetizers were never removed from our table when we got the entree. Luckily we only had 4 at our table it we had had the six we had originally planned there would have been no room for dishes. We received our check before without being offered dessert. When we first arrived in the upstairs room the music waaa too loud. They did turn ot down upon request. Go for the food, not the service.

    For a late night the food was delicious and plentiful. Our server Chase was full of energy and very accessible and accommodating. He had us laughing the night away. Albeit, we were the last table and they were cleaning , they did not disturb us and allowed us to take our time.

    The appetizers were great but the meals were just so so. Seemed like the waitress forgot about us. Nice place and was pretty quiet but then again there weren’t many people there. Doubt I’d go back considering all the other restaurants in New Orleans.

    It was good. Not as spectacular as I’m used to in New Orleans, but good. The service was great. Our server made good recommendations and asked us questions so she could discern which way to steer us in our choices.

    service was ABYSMAL. After 30 minutes, we had to go downstairs to ask where the drinks were. Normally this would not be a concern for a busy restaurant, but it was very much not busy with only the balcony seated with patrons. The server was enthusiastic but clearly scatter brained and likely forgot to put our order in.

    been to this place a dozen times. The wait staff was dreadful, spilled two glasses of wine on our dinner companion, forgot orders, and brought us cold food. I doubt i will return when there are so many options. It was the first bad experience here but one is enough in the 1/4 when there are 50 good places to eat.

    Great location. Ambiance is nice and and even better if you score a table on the balcony. Servers were nice but the restaurant was clearly understaffed. Food was just ok. I guess it’s what you would expect from a restaurant near Bourbon St.

    The food was pretty good. We would seated upstairs. It was too quiet and too plain. I felt like we would put in the corner. Our waiter was goofy at best. He carded my 56 year old husband and wasn’t kidding. He insisted that he get it out and show it. He brought dinner before drinks kind of a thing.

    Food is very subpar here. You definitely pay for the view from the balcony (if that’s where you’re sitting), if you’re from out of town that can be an exciting experience to eat on a classic Nola balcony. Other than that aspect, the restaurant inside is tacky and catered to tourists. The entrees are likened to bar food at a $20-30 price point. Service is good but if you’re looking for quality food/experience - steer clear.

    Our server was very nice but we waited for over 30 minutes for our drinks. Once we got them, they were watered down from the ice melting. Our appetizers came and were eaten before then.

    My server was Edwin and he was very friendly, kind ,and professional! The COOLinary experience came with fried green tomatoes ,crawfish pasta , and bourbon donuts and it was all phenomenal! I also got The strawberry lemon drop which was delicious.a great experience for the price !

    We ordered the crab cakes, salmon and shrimp, and shrimp jambalaya and everything was so over salted. We sent 2 of the 3 meals back and when they redid the shrimp but they were still too salty to eat. We never send meals back because they are too salty. This is the first bad meal we have had in New Orleans.

    It was great and our server was literally the best! I can’t remember her name, but she was in top of everything. The food was amazing! Would highly recommend this restaurant to others!

    If you are looking for local food, this is perfect ! service was great. Our server was really nice . A little noisy inside.we were planning to eat on the balcony, but it was too hot. They should have mist outside.right price for what you get !

    The crawfish pasta, jambalaya and donuts were really good everything else was just okay. It might’ve been an off night but wouldn’t recommend the drinks here.
