    My cousins and I went for a birthday brunch. Some also ordered from the lunch menu. Food was not all flawless but it was good. I loved the Sweet and Savory Coast Toast. Very sweet. Our server was so sweet and helpful. All employees were checking in with us. Loved that they had heaters outside and the view was great. Seating is just a little crammed. Overall a nice experience!

    a wonderful ocean view. great food and a wonderful service. Had a cup of clam chowder that was different than ive ever had due to green curry being added but it was tasty. Baja Margarita was on point.

    Our waiter Coby was hand down the best waiter I have ever had. We were celebrating a friends birthday and he made it an experience. Thank you so much. And he sang happy birthday in German at the end

    Got a meal served cold, told it was coming off the bill and got a bill with it still on. The food was very mediocre and the entrees were just “ok”.

    We’ve been to Brockton Villa twice before for brunch and the food and service were great. My family stopped for dinner after sunset on a Wednesday in November. There were only a few other diners at the time. Greeting, service and interactions with staff were very underwhelming as was the margarita flat bread. The Fall into Winter salad was quite good but the $28 chipotle chicken was raw inside! The manager agreed it was undercooked and took it off our check. He also “comped” us a Coast Coast dessert which, although we hadn’t ordered it, appeared on our check. We felt it would have been acceptable had the staff responded with an appropriate level of concern (raw chicken?) but come on Brockton, you can do better!!

    Indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the cove and listening to the sea lions! Great food, good drinks and very friendly staff. Parking was readily available after 6 pm.

    What a gem of a place for a laid back lunch as we walked about the area! Everything from the service to the ambiance to the food was exactly what I didn’t know I needed on a rest day after a business trip, and I will definitely visit again if I’m in the area!!!

    Food was fantastic and so was the service. My only complaint is that I wish they had heaters outside. They said the could roll the clear blinds down to make it warmer but that just ruins the point of sitting outside to look at the waterfront. Would have been nicer to have actual heaters outside, but all in all the food was fantastic and so were the drinks. Would definitely recommend.

    It was National Cappuccino Day and we decided to eat breakfast at Brockton Villa. It was a delicious meal with great service and we even got to see an ocean rescue from our delightful table on the front of the restaurant overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

    Brockton Villa has been my favorite La Jolla dining experience for the past 10 years when I'm in town. I'm so happy it survived the shut down and kept the quality that brings me back again and again. The view of the cove is perfection!

    First- the whole area smells so bad because its next to the ocean and sea lions🤢. Next parking is horrible. If you want to park in the closest garage, its $40. The food was like a terrible Denny's. Not worth the money.

    The best thing about this restaurant is the view. The food was mediocre at best and my coffee was served in a cup with lipstick on the rim.

    As always, my out of town guests loved the land and sea scapes. The food is always delicious with lots of choices. The only problem is with the "smelicans” but they are still fascinating to see and hear.

    The view of the Pacific Ocean can not be better the sound of the surf and the “barking” of sea lions is wonderful And the food is excellent Highly recommend the wild mushroom omelet and the kale Caesar really terrific

    Wonderful experience; they sat us with a pretty good view of the ocean/cove and the food was prepared incredibly quickly, and it was delicious. The 5 of us (me, wife, 3 teenage daughters) all enjoyed what we ordered and enjoyed tasting each other's as well, haha. Definitely will go again when we visit.

    Beautiful views of the ocean. Food is good especially the coast toast. We sat down got coffee and then our food came out so fast we were done in 20 minutes. Felt way too rushed for a $79 breakfast. We weren’t ordering Mimosas so I think they just want to move table’s quickly when no alcohol involved. Not a very relaxing Sunday brunch.

    Brockton villa has an outstanding view and the coast toast is fantastic. Every other meal was mediocre at best and very overpriced for what you get. Go to enjoy the company and view.

    We went for brunch on a Sunday and it was delicious and worth the price. Service was quick and friendly. The patio view is beautiful if you can get it 😍. Coast Toast is a must try!

    The view was awesome but the wind direction caused very smelly environment from the Sea Lions. The food was different, 2 of us had breakfast, eggs Benedict and French toast. I e had better. Cool environment because of the views but I wouldn’t go back.

    Delicious brunch with a great view. The only downside (which the restaurant can't control) is that there was a horrible smell in the area because of the sea lions across the street on the rocks. Our server was amazing, giving us advice on what to order in both the food and beverage categories. Highly recommend!

    I love this spot. Such a charming place for breakfast and then a beautiful walk along the cove. It’s quaint and the service is great and the food is good. I personally also love being able to hear the sea lions barking in the background. Makes it a super La Jolla experience!

    Everything is 5stars about the restaurant. The ONLY downside is the smell from the seals. It’s just part of the experience. The seals are awfully smelly but so amazing to watch while dining. We had a porch seat but I think the smell wouldn’t be as bad if your were sitting inside.

    Good food. Great service. Best view of La Jolla Cove there is. So beautiful!! Great seating with reservation. Wonderful watching the pelicans, seagulls and sea lions. A little smell from the sea life but worth it.

    We loved the meal but were UBER dissapointed when there was not a table on the front porch as requested when we registered and later when we confirmed. We would not have gone to the restaurant were we to know we were not sitting where we wanted to sit.

    The food was delicious and the location was beautiful as it was across the street from La Jolla Cove. The service was a little slow (it was fairly busy) but the people working apologized when bringing out our food, or refilling water glasses. We sat on outside so there was a bit of street noise and the tables were fairly close to other dinners, but we really enjoyed our time there. The steak was delicious as were the desserts.

    Very nice must stop for the total experience. The restaurant was very clean and accommodating. The server offered great recommendations and was helpful with the menu. Additionally, the food came out quickly and accurately. Overall, a great experience for us.

    We were there for the San Diego Restaurant Week -- great food for a really awesome price. We sat outside and listened to the sea lions. Arrived about an hour before the reservation so we could watch the sunset and check out the sea lions and beach area. Definitely would recommend.

    The table was waiting for me. It was right next to the railing so the view was stunning: the cove and the (noisy) seals just down below. We chose a sunset time but you can't really see the sun dipping down from the restaurant, you can only see the colors. Service was excellent, food didn't take long, the drinks were tasty and so good! My only quip is that the table felt too small and too close to the next diner. My partner and I aren't small so we felt a bit tight in there. There are other options inside and they looked right on spot. It's just the tables with the view. Very good place, I enjoyed it. Also note to bring something warm since the breeze is quite fresh.

    Brockton Villa is one of our very favorite restaurants. We make a point of going most times we spend in Southern California. The view is outstanding. The staff is awesome. The food is always great. We go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We feel so comfortable and it's such a treat to come here. See for yourself, it's fabulous and only gets better through the years we've been coming here. What a gem!!

    great service, delicious food, cool spot. The only callout I would add is that if you sit outside, you smell seal lions most of the time. While adorable, these little guys stink and a few of my friends complained much of brunch. Not sure if the smell is seasonal, but FYI as we went in September.

    My daughter and I had a fine dinner at Brockton Villa, on Sep 20th, our final night on San Diego. To be honest, I was a little disappointed in the menu. I had the Lobster Campanelle, my daughter enjoyed the Salmon Puttanesca. We started with an Ahi Stack and a couple of signature cocktails. The Stack was perfect - Ahi was exceptionally fresh and full-flavored. Macadamia nuts brisk and sweet. But my lobster needed a boost. A bit of browned butter - or a lemon-butter on the fish and the pasta would have changed my opinion entirely. To be even more honest though, the whole place needs a boost! Ripped and faded furniture brings down the spirit of the whole place. Too-casual servers who ignore a profusely sweating cocktail glass, or who are too bored to present their best manners, are disappointing.
