    William is hands down the best server & bartender we've ever experienced. His kindness, attention details, and mixology skills have us looking for him everytime we visit. The chef and cook staff need no compliments as they are masters of their craft and the food is always phenomenal. BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN BALTIMORE!❤

    I was more than pleased with the selection of Sotto Sopra. I am from Dallas and heard numerous suggestions for Italian food in Baltimore. Sotto Sopra was selected because it met all the groups culinary preferences. The food did not disappoint.

    A great place for a nice dinner. The restaurant is lovely with upscale cozy charm. The music was perfect level to block out other tables’ noise without detracting from the conversation at our table. The service was excellent and everyone ate well.

    Our waiter was wonderful. Food and drinks were excellent. It was on the expensive side but they did a great job. Very enjoyable before our hippodrome show.

    Kitchen was off tonight. Ossobuco was stunningly bland, no flavor in a single bite. Other dishes were satisfying - no, the squid ink spaghetti was a waste of space - yet frutti de mare had nice taste of the sea. Drinks and desserts were exemplary, as was table service.

    We went to their opera night, a fixed menu monthly event with food sprinkled with opera solos throughout. As far as I can tell it is unique in Baltimore. A bit pricy, but it was a special event. Food was excellent and not your typical Italian restaurant menu. Main course this month was roast duck in wine sauce. This changes monthly. Everything prepared excellently. Place is not that big (about 40 tables) so a bit packed in to seat everyone.

    The service and music was exceptional. It has been years since I have been to Opera Night at Sotto Sopra and the experience was even better than my first. I look forward to another lovely evening at Sotto Sopra.

    This is my favorite restaurant for many reasons. The food is amazing. This week there were several pumpkin dishes to choose from and I loved my choices. But I also had the pistachio Tira Misu. They just brought it back after 3 years. It is so delicious. I recommend everyone try it. The service was fantastic as always. I met a friend there who also loved it.

    Once again Sotto Sopra continues to showcase all the characteristics of an outstanding dining experience. Great venue, beautiful appointed interior architecture and outstanding service and food. Great cocktails, wine and food where dining is the focal point ! So glad to have this treasure in Baltimore! Recommended to friends who want to experience Opera night. I look forward to that experience too!!

    bread was awful, stale and fell apart in your mouth. my dish had potatoes al gratin which looked amazing but once I sliced it it has no taste and was cold.. IMO prices too high for quality of food

    Our server was very attentive. We had tickets to a show and she made sure we were served and out on time. Food was delicious. Background music was a little to loud for our taste, but they maybe because one person in our party wears a hearing aid.

    Food was very good. Grilled romaine salad and chicken saltimbocca were my favorites. Portions large. We told waiter we were sharing and he brought dishes separately plated without a request. Salad was more than enough for two. My only complaint with food was everything was a bit too garlicky - and I like garlic. Service was excellent. Staff brought a birthday sorbet with sparkler without request. Ambience also excellent. Beautiful, cozy, charming. We will be back.

    We brought friends for their first time. It’s been my favorite for some time; our friends had a great time as well! We tried several seasonal specials including pumpkin soup, pumpkin gnocchi, Ragu. Everything was delicious and our service was great, as usual!

    Our waiter was extremely helpful and kind. Service was prompt and the food was good. We split a goat cheese salad which was wonderful. My husband had the sea bass and enjoyed it. I had the chicken special. The chicken and potatoes were very good but the spinach was just okay (and made the roasted potatoes wet). We had a chocolate lava cake and cheesecake with cappuccinos for dessert. They were delicious.

    What an amazing restaurant! My mom and I went before seeing a show at the Hippodrome. Everything we ate was delicious. They had seasonal pumpkin dishes, so I ordered a pumpkin pasta dish. It was delicious! My mom loved her chicken dish. We also fried calamari, charcuterie, and a chocolate lava cake. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend!

    A handsome, quiet restaurant with excellent food, largely Italian, and friendly and efficient service. The duck with cherries was the best I have ever had outside France. This is a very good place to gather with a few good friends who want to talk as well as enjoy their dishes.

    Ambience was great for a romantic dinner. Server was friendly & had good wine recommendations. Food was average. The calamari was lacking flavor and was really greasy. i was not a fan of the fried vegetables mixed in with the calamari. The short rib ravioli was not quite cooked right & very dry. It would have been better with more sauce and needed salt. The duck was very good but the glaze was a bit heavy on the wine. Overall, decent for the price but wish the food would have been a bit better.

    Sotto Sopra is one of our favorite places to eat in Baltimore. The pasta is freshly made and there are lots of choices. Lovely atmosphere and the service is great. Try it if you haven't!
