   One of the most consistent and well rounded restaurants around. Always excellent food, service and ambiance. We have always had an outstanding experience throughout the years. It’s a beautiful restaurant.

   Greenbriar was offering a special menu option of a prix fixe meal. Each of the four courses had several choices and we found the meal to be exceptional and a very good value as well. Our server Joe did a fine job made the evening a real treat.

   We went for Restaurant week, so we did not order off of the regular menu. Food was good, but not memorable. We sat in the main dining room which was formal, but other choices looked a bit less formal, but nice. The service was exceptional, the setting very nice, and the food was good. It was a bit pricey, but overall, an enjoyable evening.

   SO pleased to have a leisurely brunch with old friends from 6+ decades ago with always delicious food and marvelous waitress. Have done this several times meeting them as they come down from Estes Park and we drive up from Littleton. So glad you are still there.

   The location and dinning areas are gorgeous, the service was impeccable, but the food was just sort of meh. The eggs (crab) benedict muffins were impossible to slice (doughy), the hollandaise was tasteless, the eggs were cold, the crab was awful, the potatoes were sort of tasteless. The desert sampler platter was nice but nothing special. The blood orange pancakes were diving.

   This was our first visit to Greenbriar Inn and it lived up to all of its great reviews. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the ambience was warm and cozy, and the service was superb! Our entrees were all excellent! Will definitely be back for a special occasion!

    We came to Boulder for a day and night to shop and have some different food. The Greenbriar Inn was truly outstanding ! You can search out James Beard Nominees in Denver or Boulder or drive to the Broadmoor BUT I doubt that you will find a better and more fairly priced meal than what you get here. The location and ambiance are perfect; the music is subtle in the background. You can actually converse at your table. The menu is extensive with regular specials. My wife had the rack of lamb - special that night; locally raised and truly beautifully prepared. I had the salmon that had an overwhelming presentation equally matched by the flavors. Wines, cocktails and desserts would take too much space here - just say all are top notch. We will be back...

    This was our first visit to the Greenbriar. It was not a busy night. We were cordially greeted when we arrived, which I appreciated. The restaurant and grounds are beautiful. The service was a little slow. It took a while to get menus. It took a while to get our order placed. Service during the meal was spotty, which was a little surprising given the small number of diners. The food was good. It was a nice experience, but we expected a little more for a $180 meal.

    I just have to say, after 30 years of traveling the globe , this was the closest to perfection I have ever experienced. It was calm, easy and even flowing. Cocktails were perfectly made and timed. Small surprises like chix liver patte topped with butter Bernaise , citrus amuse bouche bursted with sweetness ant balanced with tart between perfectly timed and presented treasures. An Epicurean delight.

    Food , service, and ambiance were outstanding. I had the duck, and my wife had the shrimp and scallop dish, both perfectly cooked. We chose the carrot cake for dessert. It was creatively presented, and scrumptious.

    The setting is charming and the inn itself is lovely. I’d suggest eating in the sunroom if you have the chance. My husband ordered a burger and a Caesar salad and I ordered the Elk Loin. We were very pleased with both. Our server was exceptionally personable and made some great recommendations. Walking around the inn itself was cute. We made a relatively early reservation so we could have a quiet meal before it got too busy and I definitely recommend doing that if you can. We got crab cakes and deviled eggs for appetizers and the chocolate cake and the chocolate and banana entremet for dessert. Everything we got was yummy.

    We were there for Valentine’s Day. They were staffed for a very busy evening, and they were very busy. The staff was perfectly attentive, very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was wonderful! It was a delightful dinner and experience.

    What an extreme disappointment. The Greenbriar used to be a favorite treat, but the menu and staff were unacceptable even for a busy Valentine's night. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed overwhelmed and undertrained. We waited 15 minutes for our 5:45 pm reservation and tried not to get run over by waitstaff rushing to and from the bar area. We were seated at a table next to the kitchen which was loud and felt like a side table for the party of 8 seated next to us. Our 4-course meal took 2-1/2 hours, which would have been fine if we were enjoying ourselves but instead if seemed due to our waitress's disappearing acts. My husband's meal was good, but my duck entree was tough and fatty, served with unseasoned scalloped potatoes, wilted bok choy, and something unrecognizably bland and diced. Nonetheless, I looked forward to a nice, fluffy, comforting strawberry mousse for dessert, but it was served inside a wiggly, gelatin heart with a hard disc in the center that crumbled and tasted like a frozen beet. We were never offered coffee or after-dinner drinks. Not the experience we expected for more than $300. We won't be back with this current management and chef.

    Really love the Greenbrier! Was disappointed in not being aware of the full dinner being the only dining option on Valentines Day. I also felt the service was too fast- not relaxing for such a wonderful atmosphere. But please tell all employees a huge thank you for continuing to work in the service industry & doing such a great job? Your employees always seem so professional!

    I love the filet and seafood dishes. Salmon with risotto is always a hit. Great atmosphere as your at the base of the foothills. They make a great Manhattan

    Once a lovely restaurant to go for a special Sunday brunch is now an apparent victim of the pandemic. No more brunch buffet and replaced by poor service and cold food. Appetizers were served along with the main meal. A brunch cocktail didn’t come until after the food was served, which was cold. When a comment was made that the biscuits were cold; the server replied, “Well that’s how people like them!” Huh? We had to ask several times for salt for our omelettes, etc., etc. I imagine they don’t have qualified staff due to the fallout of Covid the past 2 years. It’s a shame.

    We celebrated a birthday at Sunday brunch at the Greenbriar. The owner, with 40 + years of bragging rights, greeted us warmly. The service was primo. Our waiter was a 1 month newby but he was helpful, professional, & made certain we were happy. We were very happy from beginning to end! We started the meal with bignets. I had Belgium waffles, my son had mussels, my husband had salmon & the birthday lady had the Monte Cristo. We had the tastiest carrot cake! We all swapped bites & every entree was exceptional with unique flavors & eye catching presentation. This was 1 of the best restaurant experiences I have had since before Covid.

    This was our second visit in one weekend. We love the Greenbriar! We didn't realize, however, that the old Sunday brunch buffet is no longer offered and we understand why - due to COVID and food waste concerns. It didn't dampen our enjoyment too much - other than the initial disappointment - and we were able to recreate the lovely buffet options by ordering from the various menu offerings. Some of us had eggs benedict, and others had burgers, so there was a great variety to choose from and it was a lovely experience, as usual.

    The food was good. I have eaten there before and it was up to snuff. What just about killed it for me was that one of the severs hadn’t showered for what smelled like at least a couple of days. It’s funny how body odors kill your appetite. Everything else was pretty good. The sound level was very loud but it was one nearby table being excessively loud.
